  1. Was that how she viewed him? As an enemy? His nails dug into his palms roughly. Was that all he was ever going to be to her? Just a monster? Just a BITTER reminder of all that had gone wrong in her life? It wasn't like he picked this. It wasn't his fault he retained his slayer qualities even after being changed. If she talked to him they could have figured it out, but she shut him out. She left him wondering if she hated him or if she hated the fact of what he was. She closed him out, left him in the dark. All he wanted was a place to belong and he thought maybe...just maybe that he could belong by her side. But all the talk she and Lotte did, about how him questioning it was a disgrace to Giselle's family? That's all it was. It was just talk. He was bitter about it, they didn't listen to what he had to say. He felt like he was just viewed as a pest. She claimed it was fate and that's all she voiced about it. She never sounded happy

  3. He still didn't get it. She was starting to believe that either this mutt was an idiot or he was too self-absorbed with his own emotions... Or maybe he was trying to drag something out of her that she didn't realize was within her yet. Something that involved a link to him and perhaps her very emotions? It was too soon to really say much but perhaps the two were alike in more ways than she was willing to admit. She didn't view him as a monster nor did she...well, perhaps his presence was a bitter reminder of what transpired, a bitter reminder of the very murderers who took her sister...who caused harm to her family and their dynamics....the very demons who brought heartache, rage, and bitterness into the mouths of the De Lunes, Giselle included. But what she was failing to realize is that perhaps she was so blinded by her own emotions and misery with her sister's passing that it was preventing her from allowing Arius to truly be a presence in her life as her partner and perhaps...something more? Perhaps this was something that was hurting her chances of being able to truly honor her father's wishes or even uphold the De Lune name and make something out of herself...something that was not settling in her mind, at least not yet. Giselle was truly a figure that was always hot and cold when it came to situations like this -- forcing herself to hide her true emotions for the sake of not allowing them to spiral out of control out of fear that she'd lose herself while her powers consume her mental and emotional state; forcing her to develop a persona that was not even the norm

  5. to be around him. Never sounded even pleased that he remembered something. He heard the items trembling, he knew that even one good push right then would send her over and he was trying to shove his emotions down. Trying to mask them so they weren't overwhelming her. He wasn't some animal to command. Some creature that she could put in a cage and watch from afar. He was human once, maybe briefly. He was a kid when it all happened. He'd never voice that his first memory was of being torn into like a ragdoll and being thrown around. How he survived was beyond him, he should have died that night. he heard her snap and when the glass buzzed by, a small piece nicked his cheek. "You don't understand!" His voice raised and he kept his eyes on the ground. "It's not me underestimating you, it's the simple fact of what I am. All those stupid fucking scary stories that people told about werewolves? About how they were bloodthirsty? They were about

  7. actual bitten wolves." He stood up on his feet when she said that last part and he lost the last bit of cool he actually had. One hand grasping her shoulder while he pinned her to the wall. Golden eyes almost seeming darker at that moment while he opened his mouth. "I am not a dog to command, you don't have the right to dismiss me or keep me here." His voice was low, almost a snarl right then. This was what she would be dealing with when it came to full moons. His emotions were out of control, they shifted so much faster than a tide in a storm. "And if that's what you think of me, Miss De Lune. Then I'll address your family myself about breaking this partnership." His voice was so cold, as if it wasn't the man she'd have been used to. The blonde took a few steps back, shame in his eyes before he looked away from her. His back being turned while he closed his eyes tightly. He didn't say anything else before moving towards the door.
