  1. ## World Map
  2. Lord Erik, Marquess of Laus, had been working with Bern against his allies of Lycia. This gave Roy further shock. Lycia, where Roy had grown up in, was no longer a safe place to be either. Heading for Ostia, Roy decided to move through the mountains, where people seldom want to avoid unnecessary trouble.
  3.
  4. Lord Eric’s betrayal left Roy in a greater state of shock. He had the impression that Eric wasn’t the only traitor around. Lycia was no longer safe.
  5.
  6. Hurrying toward Ostia, Roy decided to pass through the sparsely settled mountains to avoid unnecessary trouble.

  12. \s[5]
  13. Boss! Our boys just got back from scouting the villages.|
  14. \s[-2]
  15.
  16. \f[2|Dory]
  17. \s[2]\e[2|1]
  18. Good. Then let's go get our tribute.|
  19.
  20. \s[6]
  21. But Boss, something's different today.\n
  22. There's an army stationed real close to us!\n
  23.
  24. \s[2]\m[2|2]\e[2|0]
  25. An army!? What the hell is an army doin’\n
  26. way up here in the mountains!?|
  27.
  28. \s[6]
  29. No idea. They've got the banner of the Lycian Army.|
  30.
  31. \s[2]\e[2|1]
  32. Hold on, Lycia? Then that ain’t a problem.|\n
  33. They must be the remnants of the army\n
  34. that got their ass kicked by Bern. We\n
  35. can handle a few battered soldiers.|
  36.
  37. \s[5]
  38. You're right, boss!|
  39.
  40. \s[2]
  41. They've probably got some valuables on them too!|
  42.
  43. \s[6]
  44. Still, we shouldn't be careless. Just because\n
  45. Bern beat 'em doesn't me we'll have an easy time.|
  46.
  47. \s[2]\e[2|2]
  48. Ah, shaddup! Stop bein' a downer! Come on,\n
  49. let's mop up these losers, boys!|
  50.

  53. \f[5|Yoder]\f[2|Dorothy]
  54. \s[5]
  55. Thank you for your hard work, Dorothy.\n
  56. Please give Brother Saul my regards.|
  57.
  58. \s[2]\b[2|2]\m[2|2]
  59. I will, Father Yoder.|
  60. \s[-2]
  61.
  62. \f[5|nil]
  63. \w[16]
  64. \s[2]
  65. Hmmm...\b[2|0] where did Saul run\n
  66. off to now? How am I supposed to\n
  67. guard him if he keeps disappearing?|
  68.
  69. ## Scene 1
  70. \g[Camp]
  71. \f[2|Roy]
  72. \f[6|Merlinus]\m[6|5]\w[8]
  73. \s[5]
  74. Master Roy, a villager is here to see you.|\r[5]\n
  75. Hold on! I never gave you clearance--|
  76. \f[-2]
  77.
  78. \f[5|nil]
  79.
  80. \f[6|Villager_ChemistF]\m[6|5]\w[5]
  81. \s[5]
  82. You are Lord Roy of House Pherae, correct?|
  83.
  84. \s[2]
  85. Er... Yes. How may I help you?|
  86.
  87. \s[5]\m[5|5]
  88. Milord, I beg you! Please, rid us of\n
  89. the bandits terrorizing our village!|
  90.
  91. \f[2]
  92. Bandits?|
  93.
  94. \s[5]
  95. There's a group of bandits that made\n
  96. their base in the castle near the cliffs.|
  97.
  98. \f[6|Merlinus]
  99. \s[6]
  100. That's a job for the castle guard!|
  101.
  102. \s[5]
  103. Hah...\b[5|2] They fled once they heard that\n
  104. the Lycian Army was defeated by Bern...|\b[5|0]\n
  105. We villagers were left on our own.\n
  106. Our days are spent in fear of bandit attacks.|
  107.
  108. \s[2]
  109. ... ...|
  110.
  111. \s[5]
  112. We have no one else we can ask. Please, help us!|
  113.
  114. \s[6]
  115. Lord Roy, we must keep our pace towards Ostia...|
  116.
  117. \s[2]
  118. I know, I know! But, we can't simply\n
  119. ignore people in need of help!|
  120.
  121. \s[6]
  122. Master Roy!? But...|
  123.
  124. \s[5]
  125. You will help us?! Thank you!\n
  126. Please use the gate to the west.|\n
  127. It'll take you right to the castle.|
  128.
  129. \s[2]
  130. All right, thank you for the information.|
  131.
  132. \s[5]
  133. I'll arrange for the gate to be\n
  134. opened when you give the signal.|\n
  135. Thankfully, it's easy to miss, so the\n
  136. bandits have never tried to utilize it.|
  137. \s[-2]
  138.
  139. \f[5|nil]
  140.
  141. \m[6|5]\w[5]
  142. \s[5]
  143. Master Roy... Are you sure about this?|
  144.
  145. \s[2]
  146. I am. We can't just abandon them like\n
  147. the previous soldiers did. Lycia isn't\n
  148. just us, it's these people too.|
  149.
  150. \s[5]
  151. ... Very well, I will inform our army.|
  152. \s[-2]
  153.
  154. \w[16]
  155. \r[2]\m[2|1]\w[5]
  156. \f[1|nil]
  157.
  158. \f[6|Guinivere]
  159. \s[6]
  160. Lord Roy? Is something going on?|
  161. \s[-2]
  162.
  163. \f[1|Roy]\m[1|2]\w[5]
  164. \s[2]
  165. Oh, Princess Guinivere. We're going to\n
  166. help some villagers with bandits tonight.|\n
  167. You can remain here, where it's safe.|
  168.
  169. \s[6]
  170. All right, well, good luck.|
  171.
  172. ## Scene 2
  173. \g[5|Hill]
  174. \f[2|Roy]\f[5|Merlinus]
  175. \s[2]
  176. Merlinus! Are our preparations ready?|
  177.
  178. \s[5]
  179. Sigh... Youthful energy. Where does it come from?
  180.
  181. ## Saul Scene
  182. \g[Village]
  183. \f[2|Villager_MaidF]\f[5|Saul]\e[5|1]\m[2|1]\w[5]
  184. \s[1]
  185. Er... Brother Saul, I appreciate\n
  186. the offer, but not tonight...|
  187. \s[-2]
  188.
  189. \f[5|4]\w[5]
  190. \s[4]
  191. Come now, don't be like that. We can\n
  192. sit by the fire in the dark of night\n
  193. as I soothe you with my calming sermons--|
  194.
  195. \f[6|Dorothy]
  196. \s[6]
  197. There you are! Saul!|
  198. \e[4|0]\b[4|1]
  199. \s[4]
  200. Wonderful. Dorothy...|
  201.
  202. \s[1]
  203. Well then, good night!|
  204. \s[-2]
  205. \f[1|nil]
  206. \w[8]
  207. \b[4|0]\m[4|3]\w[8]
  208. \s[3]
  209. No, wait!
  210. \s[-2]
  211.
  212. \r[3]\m[3|2]\w[5]
  213. \s[2]
  214. Tisk tisk... Look what you've done now, Dorothy.\n
  215. That expression on your face scared her away.|\n
  216. Such a menacing look! Shakes me to my core!|
  217. \s[-2]
  218.
  219. \m[6|5]\w[5]
  220. \s[5]
  221. This is my normal look!|
  222.
  223. \s[2]
  224. I shudder at the thought.|
  225.
  226. \s[5]
  227. ... ANYWAY! Saul, you were hitting on another girl.|
  228.
  229. \s[2]
  230. You make it sound so evil! I simply offer\n
  231. my helping hand to any poor souls in need.|
  232.
  233. \s[5]
  234. Then why do you always offer to give your sermons at night?|
  235.
  236. \s[2]
  237. How dare you! Why, the sun makes it hard\n
  238. to see and... er... the bugs...|
  239. \s[-2]
  240.
  241. \[2|2]
  242. \s[2]
  243. Never mind that! Did you have some reason\n
  244. for interrupting my good work?|
  245.
  246. \s[5]
  247. Oh! Yes, I did. The Lycian Army is\n
  248. apparently somewhere around here.|
  249.
  250. \s[2]\m[2|2]
  251. Truly?! Is Princess Guinivere still with them?|
  252.
  253. \s[5]
  254. Er, I think so. Assuming I read the reports\n
  255. from the St. Elimine Church properly--|
  256.
  257. \s[2]
  258. Then we must make haste! We must find that army!|
  259. \s[-2]
  260.
  261. \f[2|nil]
  262.
  263. \w[16]
  264. \s[5]\b[5|1]
  265. ... ... ...|
  266. \s[-2]
  267.
  268. \f[1|Saul]\m[1|2]\w[5]
  269. \s[2]
  270. What's the matter, Dorothy? Didn't\n
  271. you hear me? I said we have to hurry--|
  272. \s[5]
  273. You only want to join them because Princess\n
  274. Guinivere is said to be soooo beautiful.|
  275.
  276. \s[2]
  277. What!? D-don't be ridiculous...\n
  278. Come now, hurry along.|
  279. \s[-2]
  280.
  281. \f[2|nil]
  282.
  283. \b[5|2]
  284. \s[5]
  285. Ugh... Coming, coming...|
  286. \s[-2]
  287.
  288. ## Gate Scene
  289. \g[Mountains]
  290. \f[1|Villager_CraftsmanM]
  291. \s[1]
  292. Ah, I heard you were coming. You want\n
  293. to get to the castle much faster, right?|\n
  294. Hold on, let me open up the gate.|
  295. \s[-2]
  296.
  297. ## Dory Scene
  298. \g[Fortress]
  299. \f[6|Dory]
  300. \s[6]
  301. What the hell!? That... That was a gate?!\n
  302. Crap, that army'll be here in no time...|\n
  303. Everyone! Get on out here! Now, quick!|
  304. \s[-2]
  305.
  306. ## Village
  307. \g[Village]
  308. \f[5|Visitor]\f[2|Villager_VeteranM]
  309. \s[2]
  310. You're headed up towards Ostia? I'd be careful, there\n
  311. are traitors all over the place in Lycia now...|\n
  312. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some in Ostia\n
  313. too, with the rumors of Lord Hector's disappearance.|\n
  314. Here, you should take this lance. It's designed to\n
  315. rip into the thickest armor. You might need it...|
  316.
  317. ## House 1
  318. \g[House]
  319. \f[2|Visitor]\f[5|Villager_ConF]
  320. \s[5]
  321. You're headed east? Make sure you watch out for\n
  322. any enemy reinforcements that might show up.|\n
  323. They're probably hidden in the caves here in\n
  324. the valley... If you can block them off, you\n
  325. can probably stop them from charging your army.|
  326.
  327. ## House 2
  328. \g[House]
  329. \f[5|Visitor]\f[2|Village_BarmaidF]
  330. \s[2]
  331. I was there when Araphen was taken...\b[2|2]\n
  332. The wyvern riders of Bern were terrifying enough...\n
  333. But then a dragon engulfed the Lycian Army in flame...|\n
  334. Oh Elimine, please tell me it was a dream...|
  335. \s[-2]
  336.
  337. ## House 3
  338. \g[House]
  339. \f[2|Visitor]\f[5|Villager_ApprenticeM]
  340. \s[5]
  341. This whole area is like a bandit garden, with all of\n
  342. the mountains and peaks. It's no wonder they appeared.|\n
  343. Most units have issues with crossing such rough terrain,\n
  344. but it's nothing for those pillagers. The last thing\n
  345. you want to do is try fighting them up their, sheesh...|
  346. \s[-2]
  347.
  348. ## Vs Dory
  349. \f[1|Dory]
  350. \s[1]\e[1|1]
  351. No one's ever survived a blow from my axe! Hey, you. Wanna try?|
  352. \s[-2]
  353.
  354.
  355. ## Dory Defeated
  356. \f[1|Dory]\m[1|1]
  357. \s[1]
  358. Gah...! No...I don't wanna...\b[1|1] die yet...|
  359. \s[-2]
  360.
  361. ## Outro 1
  362. \g[Fortress]
  363. \f[2|Roy]
  364. \s[2]
  365. That appears to be the last of them.|
  366. \s[-2]
  367.
  368. \f[5|Villager_CraftsmanM]\f[6|Villager_ChemistF]\e[6|1]
  369. \s[5]
  370. We're in your debt, Lord Roy!|
  371.
  372. \s[6]
  373. Thank you, thank you! Because of your\n
  374. efforts, we'll be able to sleep tonight...|
  375.
  376. \s[2]\e[2|1]
  377. Of course. I'm just happy we were able to help.|
  378.
  379. \s[5]
  380. It's not much, but this is the least\n
  381. we can do to thank you. Take this\n
  382. sword for your coming battles.|
  383.
  384. \s[6]
  385. And this Potion. It will heal your wounds\n
  386. a bit faster than traditional Vulneraries.|
  387.
  388. \s[2]
  389. Oh! Thank you, I... I didn't expect anything\n
  390. in return. These will certainly come in handy.|
  391. \s[-2]
  392.
  393. \f[5|nil]\f[6|nil]
  394. \w[16]
  395.
  396. \f[5|Merlinus]
  397. \s[5]
  398. Well, Master Roy?|
  399.
  400. \s[2]\[2|0]
  401. Merlinus... We have to save Lycia. There are so\n
  402. many people just trying to live quiet lives, and\n
  403. they need our help to preserve their peace.|
  404.
  405. \s[5]
  406. Of course, Master Roy. But, in order to do that...|
  407.
  408. \s[2]
  409. Right, we need to get to Ostia. We'll return to\n
  410. camp to rest and leave at first light tomorrow.|
  411. \s[-2]
  412.
  413. ## Outro 2
  414. \g[Camp-Night]
  415. \f[6|Merlinus]\m[6|5]\w[5]
  416. \s[5]
  417. Lord Roy! A priest from the St. Elimine Church wants\n
  418. an audience with you...and Princess Guinivere!|
  419. \s[-2]
  420.
  421. \f[1|Roy]\m[1|2]\w[5]
  422. \s[2]
  423. Hmm...? Wait, they knew that\n
  424. Princess Guinivere was with us?|
  425.
  426. \s[5]
  427. Yes... I can't imagine how.|
  428.
  429. \s[2]
  430. Me neither... There may be foul play, I\n
  431. think I should just meet with them alone.|
  432. \s[-2]
  433.
  434. \f[6|Guinivere]
  435. \s[6]
  436. Roy, I will be fine. I wish to meet this priest.|
  437.
  438. \s[2]
  439. Princess?|
  440.
  441. \s[6]\b[6|2]
  442. Tensions between my brother and the\n
  443. church have worsened as of late.|\b[6|0]\n
  444. I do not believe they would attempt\n
  445. anything underhanded. We can trust them.|
  446.
  447. \s[2]
  448. I see... Merlinus, please lead\n
  449. this priest to our main tent.|
  450. \s[-2]
  451.
  452. ## Outro 3
  453. \g[Tent]
  454. \f[2|Roy]\f[1|Guinivere]
  455. \w[16]
  456.
  457. \f[6|Saul]\m[6|5]\w[5]
  458. \s[5]\m[5|5]
  459. Lord Roy, it is a pleasure to meet you at last.\n
  460. I am Saul, an acolyte of the St. Elimine Church.|
  461.
  462. \s[2]
  463. Pleased to meet you.|
  464.
  465. \s[5]\e[5|1]\m[5|5]
  466. Oh... And you must be Princess Guinivere!\n
  467. You are as beautiful as the rumors say!|
  468.
  469. \s[1]
  470. Er... Pardon me...?|
  471.
  472. \s[5]\e[5|0]
  473. Ahem! Forgive me, Your Highness.\n
  474. Now, for the reason I'm here...|\n
  475. I wish to know the location of the Fire Emblem.\n
  476. You have it with you, do you not?|
  477. \s[-2]
  478.
  479. \event
  480.
  481. \m[1|1]\e[1|3]
  482. \s[1]
  483. What?! How did you know that?!|
  484. \s[-2]
  485.
  486. \m[2|3]\r[3]
  487. \s[3]
  488. Princess?|
  489.
  490. \s[5]
  491. The Head Church in Bern informed us the Fire Emblem\n
  492. disappeared from the Shrine of Seals. And you suddenly\n
  493. went missing at exactly the same time. Coincidence?|
  494.
  495. \s[1]
  496. ... ... ...|
  497.
  498. \s[3]
  499. You never mentioned this to me...|
  500.
  501. \s[5]
  502. I was sent by the Church to confirm the\n
  503. truth. Why did you take the Fire Emblem?|
  504.
  505. \s[1]\b[1|2]
  506. ... \e[1|2]Sigh... I'm sorry, Roy, I should\n
  507. have informed you earlier. I... took it\n
  508. to try and stop my brother.|
  509. \s[-2]
  510.
  511. \s[5]
  512. Your brother... Zephiel, the king of Bern.|
  513. \event
  514.
  515. \s[1]\e[1|0]
  516. Yes.|
  517.
  518. \s[3]
  519. What is the the Fire Emblem used for?|
  520.
  521. \s[1]
  522. ...It's the key that awakens a sword that\n
  523. was used to slay the dragons long ago.\b[1|2]\n
  524. That was what my father told me anyway.|\b[1|0]\n
  525. I am unsure how exactly the Fire Emblem or the\n
  526. sword work, but My brother seemed to worry\n
  527. abut the Fire Emblem falling into enemy hands.|\n
