When the game starts, immediately set your HVAC thermostat and oxygen output to about 15. Set your coolant pump speed to 300 or 350, then run to the drill and set it's speed to match that of the coolant pump. Leave your gravity generator at 100%. Fight as many mobs as you can to earn extra money but don't stay outside of the airlock too long. Keep 20 or 30 space food in your inventory for hunger and healing. Sleep when you reach an energy level of 30 or 40. Respond to any failures as fast as possible. After a power outage, you should always reset your gravity generator first and reset the coolant pump before you start the drill again.
