[Chapter 5-Artemis Cup GFs]

This is the last match of the Artemis Cup within the Gradivus Arena as the dome is bursting with life. Both trainers, Jalen and Belkut, stare at one another from across the arena. Jalen with a calm and focused look..and Belkut with a prideful smirk .

Belkut in particular is feeling very prideful considering that not only is his fiancee is watching, but the day before he left for Ylisse, he boasted to his peers that he will easily win this whole shebang...asserting himself over the 'Ylissian pups!'

"(As the heir to the Branch Enteprises, I cannot lose here...Ylisse knows nothing about pride..and that is why they and other nations fail against Nohr!)" He clench his fist before him as Solomon stand before Hilbert on the ring, his cape flowing beneath him...

As far as Jalen is concerned...This is just another day in the office for him. Another noble to crush and humble, another tourney to win...although the only new thing here is that he's fighting a Gali, and he never fought one before..

Galis specializes in both POW and INT techs and can fight at both Close AND Long ranged...making it quite the challenge for anyone to fight one, let alone win against them. That said, they have weaknesses..and he plan on taking advantage of them.

"(This is gonna be a tough battle...but I'm confident in me and Hilbert winning this.)"

"Faraday!" Jalen raised an eyebrow as Belkut call out to him amid the roaring crowd..the latter having his usual haughty smirk on his face. "I shall grant you this one chance to back down before me to save your hide.."Upon hearing this, the crowd jeers at the nohrian noble whereas in the noble box, Rinea at least have the decency to not look over to see the annoyed looks on both the Faradays..


"...." Jalen scowls as he crosses his arms..Hilbert hopping on his feet readying himself for combat.. "If I were to give up here, I shouldn't had entered, don't you think?" Belkut laughs arrogantly as he nods with a smirk. "So Ylissians DO have some semblance of pride..good, good...this will make my win all the more sweeter!"

"....Your delusions in winning this is almost admirable.." Belkut scowls as Jalen look quite calm. "You told me you heard of me...who told you such things about me?" Belkut shakes his head in a dismissive manner.. "As if I would tell you, Faraday.."

"...Ok, Guess Hilbert gonna have to beat the answer out of your Solomon then." Jalen shrugs as the bell rings.

"I won't allow such a thing to occur, knave....Solomon! Lightning!"

Solomon whip up a quick shot of bolts towards Hilbert who jump to the left and land on top of a rock as he crouches low...

"Hilbert, use 1-2 Punch!"

...And then jump off the rock to sprint towards the Gali, shocking Belkut and Rinea up in the stands as Hilbert get close to land 2 fists on the astral body that wears Solomon's cape.

"What?!" Not many people knew of that peculiar weakness, so it caught the Branch heir off guard for a moment...Giving Jalen another chance to attack.

"Now use Straight!" But as Hilbert bring back a fist to sock Solomon on his mask/face..Belkut recovers from his shock and issue his own attack. "Intercept with Fire Wall!"

Solomon recovers faster than Hilbert throwing his fist out with him holding his astral hand out and summoning a wall of fire before him to block the hare off as he floats back to retreat..Hilbert threw his hand out just as the wall came up and burn his hand. He shouts in pain as he shakes his hand and hold it..

"So Rhiannon...is there anything Hilbert should be doing in this match to win this?"

As Rinea cheers Belkut on, Palutena ask her daughter the question as the latter adjusts her glasses in thought..She never fought any Galis before either, so this is a new territory for her. Then again, Galis are Hoshidian Monsters so Belkut getting one means that he used his connections..

"...From what I gathered from just watching this..." She begins to speak up as Hilbert shakes the fire off of his fist, slightly burned from it. "Jalen will have to prioritize getting close, seems as if Galis have their best attacks from afar.. However, he will need to keep in mind of that Thwack attack..but it's fairly slow and inaccurate.."


"Well, at the same time, it doesn't seem that Galis are that fast either..." Paluena spares a look down at Solomon who looks somewhat in pain from the attack. "So perhaps he can outcamp him?" Rin smiles in an assuring manner towards her mom for saying that. "Now mother, as much as you have been learning from watching us battle, you DO realize that camping his foes out just isn't in Jalen's nature however much it would help him, right?"

"Well..." Palutena pouts before she looks away scowling. "Maybe today's the day he will try it?"
"That day will be the day you will give up wine then, correct?" Palutena widens her eyes at the horror of never drinking her wine.
"Never...."

"Well, there you go, Mom." Rin giggles as she lay back in her chair as the match goes on below them...Unaware that Rinea was listening to them, she is worried...Jalen sounds like a decent trainer...

"(My Belkut, please don't get upset...)"

Hilbert is currently dodging stray Lightnings from Solomon following the Fire Wall attack, Jalen on the defensive as crossing the distance to Solomon is proving to be quite an issue...

But his calm look hides his inner feelings of confidence as he waits for Belkut to use that one attack, and then he can go in with Hilbert..Reason being that Galis have one of the slowest Guts regens recorded...so all of these Lightnings will drain Solomon's guts..until Belkut will need to set up Red Wisp to zone Hilbert out...And Jalen can then use his plan.

"(Come on, I know you gonna have to do it eventually..)"

As Hilbert continues to dodge the bolts, Belkut knows that Solomon is tiring out from his weaken bolts...and goes into his next phase.

"Now! Red Wisp!!"

Jalen does his best to not smirk as Solomon hums in a ghoulish manner and creates a red sphere of light that shoots away from him before it stops in place and sluggishly hover towards Hilbert...

Belkut laughs at his winning plan coming into fruition... "Now..Now you have no way of getting close to Solomon while he regen his Guts...by the time Red Wisp goes away...Solomon can zone your rabbit once more!"

"...That IS true...but there's a flaw that I'm gonna show you now...Hilbert, just like we spoke during our time resting in this tourney.."
Hilbert nods as he slowly walk towards the Red Wisp as the light stop and stay still..

"Red Wisp is a wonderful zoning tool that stop approaches, that's true...However the main flaw within it lies in the fact that once it's zooms in on the closest heat signature..." Hilbert starts running at a reasonable pace towards the light...Belkut looking on confused.

"...It can't changes it's direction.."
"Wh-what?!"

Hilbert soon starts to sprint towards the light as it buzz loudly and zoom towards Hilbert...and just as the 2 collides...Hilbert, without losing speed, makes a sharp turn to his left to avoid the attack! Letting it zoom towards a rock behind him and fizzing out to a hazy red smoke as he continues onwards to a shocked Solomon and a gasping Belkut!

"WHAT THE HELL!?!?" He steps back a bit, aghast over what he's struggling to comprehend before him. "HOW!?!? THAT TOOK ME AND SOLOMON MONTHS TO WORK ON, MONTHS!!!"

Up in the stands, everyone is roaring in joy over Jalen's plan working out as in the noble box, Rinea is sharing Belkut's shock as the Faradays have their own reactions...Namely Rin looking on with a proud look as Palutena's cheering loudly..

"Oh no! Belkut!"
"Heh, good work Jalen...you saw what I've seen, huh?"
"LOOK AT THE BIG BRAIN ON MY BABY BOY!!! I GAVE THEM THAT 5000 IQ!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!! SLAY!!!"

Rhiannon facepalms at how loud her mom is..
"Mom..."

Down on the floor, Berkut is having a mental breakdown as Hilbert starts getting closer and closer to Solomon...Already he's not there as he's in the deep parts of his minds where he already seeing Alexander with a disapproving look, Camilla with an annoyed expression, Diego sporting his disdained look, and Raven with a evil smirk on her.

"How embarrassing...you call yourself a Nohrian and yet you lost to a Ylissian, in their own region? As the crown prince, I feel nothing but shame from this.."

"Bad enough that I heard claims of you beating them easily...and yet the opposite came true...Weak."

"Hmph...You dare to be my rival and lose to such filth...I see you're back to being your powerless self, Belkut..."

"What a little bitch...I can't fathom Rinea being with you besides pity...You reek of small-dick energy and should commit to an early retirement and just try to live the remainder of your life mooching off of both her family's fortune and your own...assuming your daddy will still claim you! Ahahahahahaahahah!!!"

"No..." Belkut clench his fists, filled with intense rage at the near future... "No!" He stomps the ground defiantly.. "NO, I WON;T ALLOW THIS!!! SOLOMON!!! HURRICANE!!!!!!!"

"Oh shit, Hilbert!" Hilbert stops in his tracks as Solomon's mask enlarges and actually sports a demonic grin as it laughs in a high-ptich voice while spinning so fast that the wind catches on fire...a giant hurrricane spouts from the mask and head towards Hilbert as it covers the floor in a wave of flames...

"HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!" Palutena stands up concerned for not just Hilbert, but Jalen as well as the attack covers the floor...just stopping before Jalen as his hair flows back from it...

"That's one of Solomon's strongest attack...no one have ever dodged or blocked it...let alone survived through it..." Rinea covers her mouth with fear over such an attack..she knew if he was pushed to a corner...Belkut would use this attack..and it would lead to another injured monster...

"I'm so sor-" Before Rinea could even finished...Palutena stands up and stomps her way to her as she knock down all the bodyguards before her, grab Rinea and hold her up with two hands on her fancy clothing with a face of a Mama Bear consumed by the anger of their offspring being in danger.

"Listen here, you blueberry skank, if my son's monster died from that attack, you can be assured that your AND that snobbish small dick sorry excuse of a male with an ego as big as a Zilla King and as frail as a newborn Hopper you call your fiancee's family will NEVER hear from the suffering that I will put them through!!"

Rhiannon would had joined, but she spots something on the floor that gives her hope for Hilbert's safety...She smiles as she call out to Palutena who's busy choking Rinea with one hand while punching any foolish bodyguard who come near her on their face, breaking their noses..
"Momma, come look..."
"NOT NOW, SWEETIE! MOMMY'S CURRENTLY MOURNING THE DEATH OF YOUR BROTHER'S MONSTER!"
"Be-Be-Belkut...he-he-help me..."

"Mom, come over here! Hilbert's not dead!"
This make Palutena look back with a shocked look, and let go of a gasping for air Rinea...As she walk back and look down...

"What am I looking for?"
Rhiannon point towards a rock that seems to be standing out amiss the sea of flames that's dying down now..

"Mom, are you a fan of Looney Tunes?" Rin smirks as she look at Palutena who's lost. "Why yes, I love them...you and Jalen knows this..but what does th-" Then Palutena gets it as she too forms an evil smirk and chuckles...

"...my boy have a big ol' brain..."
"(I'm totally sucking his dick...)"

Belkut flips his hair as he takes in what his Gali has done to the floor...this has been the 4th time he have used Solomon's current strongest attack...And everytime he done so...the foe have either died or was heavily injured to retirement...

"Well..." Regaining his composure and smirk at Jalen who is oddly enough staying calm.. "That's that...I will admit, you have pushed me farther than I could imagine...but alas, I'm afraid your Hare have either perished..or is close to it..."

"...."Jalen stays silent as he crosses his arms, making Belkut feel perplexed... "You know, your monster is probably dead and here you are, not caring....I see Ylissians are also lacking compassion for their own..."

"......Hilbert." And as his name was called out....

A rock was flipped over as Hilbert smoothly crawl out from underneath it with a smug look and put his fists up before the shocked Berkut, a panicking Solomon, the cheers of the crowd, the gasping of Rinea..and the joy and jeering of the Faradays.!
"WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS!??! HOW DID YOU SURVIVED!??! HOW!!??!"
Jalen grins back with audacity as Hilbert slowly walk towards Solomon with a menacing look...

"Hilbert have enough strength and speed to not only react to Hurricane..which is quite fast, mind you...but to also dig a hole along with covering it with a rock to hide from the flames..."

"I..I...The fuck!?!?"

"Gute Trauer ..." (Good Grief)Jalen facepalms before he scowls at Belkut. "Basically, you're fucked.."

Hilbert grabs Solomon by his cape and bring a fist back..

"Hilbert...Machine-Gun!!!"

Hilbert brings his fist down hard on Solomon's mask with great speed before doing it multiple times with so much speed that his one arm becomes a blur before being joined by his other arm...Soon, one can see a Hare beating the shit out of a mask with a cape before he ends it with a hook that knocks Solomon to the ground KO'ED...

"Annnnd..." Jalen points at Belkut with a stoic look.  "That's game.."

The crowd erupts in Jalen's name as he wins the tourney...leaving Belkut on his knees in despair as he clutches his head. Solomon being carried off to the medical room.

"This.....this can't be...I lost....in front of not just the ylissians..." He look around and see the cameras in the arena looking at him and then to Jalen and Hilbert who waves at the crowd. "But also the whole world..." He bang his fists on the ground in anguish... "This cannot be!!"

He fail to see Jalen and Hilbert walking to him and looking down at him. "Now Belkut.." Hearing his voice, Belkut slowly look up with hatred in his eyes shining... "I told you I would make Hilbert beat the shit out of Solomon for the answer to my earlier question..."

"...damnit."

"Now.." Jalen frowns as he crosses his arms.. "Who was it that you heard from about me...?"

"...." He stood up and glare at him before he spoke through his teeth..  "...I overheard my fiancee discussing things with a friend of hers....And I gotten curious about your skill..."

"And so you come here and lose to me.." Jalen finished for Belkut, not really satisfied with the answer... "Who was it....I bet I know who it was.."

Belkut scoffs and look away.. "As if my pride as a Nohrian noble would compe-"

"Bitch, I took your pride to an alley and choke it to death with my dick as if it was a common whore and then crush its head beneath by shoes..."
"....." The whole crowd heard what Jalen had said to the emancipated Belkut as Rinea hold her hands to her mouth in shock and disgust while Rin can't contain her laughter while Palutena struggles to do so...earning the slight ire of Rinea.

"How could you 2 sit there and laugh at such a crude joke??"

Rin wipes her eyes behind her glasses before she calm down a bit and stare at Rinea with a small smirk. "No clue..how can you sit there and allow your fiancee spout those anti-Ylissian words?"

"....." Rinea shakes her head and stand up as her bodyguards amass around herself. "...You wouldn't understand his inner struggles..."

"I could understand, but I more than likely wouldn't care considering how much of a dick he is, probably trying to make up for his one inch pecker..."


Rinea scowls at Rin as she walk out of the room with her bodyguards leaving out and closing the door...leaving Palutena to roll on the ground and howl with laughter..

"OH GOD, MY FUCKING SIDES!!!"

"I swear, I think most Nohrian Males are drunk on muh nationalism or something..." Rin chuckles as she reach between her pockets for some candy to eat..Palutena stands up and walk towards the door..
"Come on, let's go home..we'll meet Jalen there to congratulate him.."
"Right.." Rin stands up and walk behind her mom, tightening her butthole in preparation for her brother's late-night victory sex while their mom sleep..

Down there, Belkut is still reeling from Jalen's comment as the latter glare at him..

"...You only won cause of the tourney settings here...Round robins..what nation still does that?" Jalen chuckles...seems Belkut is making up excuses now...

"Most nations do Round Robin a lot since everyone can fight one another at least once...Ylisse, Hoshido, and other smaller nations have the format for their Official Rank Cups.."

"Not Nohr..we have single elimination cups for all tournies...sometimes even double elim!.."

Jalen roll his eyes as he walk off with Hilbert following him...He's not amused with this clown of a noble before him..time to claim his money.

"Listen, You can speak how many excuses you want, but it won't take away my win over you...Hell, I'll come to Nohr and fight you there.."

"...."
"(Damnit, If I lose in Nohr, then I'll REALLY be the laughing stock again...I...I...)" Belkut's pride makes him accept the challenge..if word gets out that he turned it down...

..He can see his father throwing him out to the streets...Rinea leaving him for some other noble...and all of his peers laughing at him....In reality, none of that would happen to him..he just suffers massively from a frail ego. At worst, Raven will laugh behind his back at him.

...Cause Raven was the one who manipulated him to come here just for her to stay at her home to watch the tourney to gather data on Jalen..
