Abilities:

•Vaaren Grit: Capable of carrying heavy loads with relative ease.

•Superior Darkvision: Can see in dim light within 120 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. Can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

•Vaaren Resilience: Recovers from poison easily, and enjoys resistance against poison damage. Requires only half the food her build suggests, and is fully rested after four hours of sleep.

•Stonesense: Can concentrate in order to determine current direction and approximate depth underground. Additionally, proficient in determining the age and history of stonework.

•Profession: Proficient with leatherworking and butchering tools.

•Scrounge: When procuring food exclusively for herself and other Vaaren, has a greater chance of success. However, non-Vaaren attempting to eat or drink what was Scrounged may suffer the Poisoned status, due to the often questionable nature of what Vaaren comfortably consider 'food'.

•Survival Equipment: Starts with a basic mask and three filter-canisters of artificial Cloud (one of which is already attached), which provide enough breathable toxin to last for roughly two weeks apiece; can don the mask, remove/change the filter, or install a new filter very quickly.

•Cloud Dependence: Adapted to the toxic fumes of the Cloud, so much so that it is now required order to survive. May only endure without breathing the Cloud for 5 days; for every twelve hours after that, become increasingly ill and exhausted, with the only recourse being to rest and breathe in some Cloud.


Backstory: A retired Rank 4 Vaaren "Harvester", Redleather grew tired of the intense stress of the Vaaren lifestyle, moving away from the Cloud-covered "Motherland" to enjoy a much more comfortable life as a butcher and leather-maker. Her moniker comes from an incident in which leather armor she created for a client was stained crimson with blood due to her being attacked by a monster en route to delivering the armor. She apologized profusely and offered to redo the job, but the client was actually impressive with the "custom dye job" and paid her extra. Descended from the Vaaren "Iron King", meaning she is unusually large and strong for her species, with dark charcoal fur and dark red eyes. Ends up meeting the party while in town to make a delivery.
