  1. Pokemon summary:
  2.
  3. Albastorm - Strong aerial water-type special attacker. The name could be better imo but I couldn't find anything better.
  4. Alkeminx - A poison/psychic type!! It's a weird one, lowish stats across the board, but access to prankster and competitive as abilities. Notably, gets acid burn. The name is a mix of alchemy and minx (a troublemaker). It has a sort of dual (like u know how u have solrock and lunatone for example) in Kobolt, a dark/steel-type troublemaker. It is a phenomenal answer to Poison- and Fighting-types, resisting mves of those types and being able to hit them super-effectively with Psychic.
  5. Alovera - The healing plant, its name is a move of aloe vera and love. It's very much a support pokemon, with spikes, leech seed, and the dreaded health orbs. It is very slow, pretty weak, and lacks much in its movepool beyond that. Abilities-wise, two very nice abilities are available: Natural Cure, and Spiny (a clone of Iron Barbs)
  6. Arfox - generic fast normal type attacker, does get Limber which is kinda cool I guess. Basically a fox, name is pretty obvious: arf + fox.
  7. Arialis - a bug/ice type, it is a moth that lives on snowy mountain forests. Its name is a mixture of aria (a sort of vocal music) and aurora borealis (the northern lights). It should have beautiful wings, inspired by those northern lights! It is decently fast and strong specially, but somewhat frail. It could just about fulfill a support role, however, due to its access to Health Orbs and Roost, but it is probably better equipped to utilise an offensive Healt Orbs set.
  8. Armorillo - the name is a mixture of armor and armadillo, so basically it's an armored armadillo (kinda like armaldo I guess lol). It's a steel/ground type with swords dance and raze, so can do some interesting stuff but it is slow.
  9. Bulldor - fire-type starter, with rock as its secondary. Name is a mix of bull and boulder. The idea was a strong, fast razer that is very difficult to block.
  10. Chipmunch - name is chipmunk x munch - this one likes to eat! It's a grass/ground-type with cheek pouch, and acceptable attack and speed. Simple, fun offensive pokemon with one or two tiny tricks.
  11. Chromastone - rock/psychic type, the name is a mixture of chromosone, chrome, and stone. It is a colourful psychic rock. Good attack and special defense - perfect for using crystallize (a curse clone) with. Immunity makes it impossible to take it out with toxic, and crystallize's speed-dropping means it can combine crystallize with kinetic shift (a roar clone) to avoid being phazed out (at least, once it's accrued enough drops)
  12. Crushtacean - the water-type starter, with bug as its secondary. Decently bulky, particularly on the physical side, and strong enough to hurt stuff unboosted, just about. Its only means of boosting is Scuttle (an agility clone), boosting its speed. Unfortunately, it is limited to using concealed power (a physical equivalent of hidden power) for its physical bug-type stab. It also gets knock off, useful for support sets.
  13. Cuddlefish - Cuddlefish is a cute and cuddly cuttlefish!! That being said, I think all cuttlefish are cute and cuddly :3 it's a water/poison-type with one or two interesting things. It can Wish, it can Wash Away, and it gets a signature move in Ink Spray, which is a reasonably powerful special attack has a 1 in 3 chance of lowering the opponent's special attack. It is rather handy for keeping Narwhale in check, in particular. Its two abilities are suction cups and buoyant - both are excellent flavour-wise, but buoyant is probably the more useful. It mildly decreases the power of contact moves against it, cutting their power by 15%.
  14. Diamenix - Diamenix's name is a mixture of diamond and phoenix. It is a majestic, stoic rock/flying-type bird, with sky-high defense at 130, average speed, and a decent base 105 special attack - which can be further augmented via Wings Of Dawn, a special attack with a 1 in 4 chance of boosting the user's SpA.
  15. Dolfin - you might be able to guess where this pokemon's name comes from, huh. Yes, it's a mixture of Dolphin and Fin, and it's a fast, decently powerful pure water-type, with good attack. It has water veil, a fun ability that makes it immune to burns, making it an ideal offensive switch into fire-types looking to spread that status.
  16. Dorswish - this is probably the second-best name, imo. The name is a near-anagram of Swordfish - the first 5 letters are an anagram of sword. Furthermore, swish is the sound of a sword being swung, and Dors also comes from Dorsal - the Dorsal fin is the fin on the back of a fish! It is a water and steel-type, that should look like a swordfish, and has a signature physical attack in Sword Slash, a decent physical attack. Its speed is exceptional at 127, but its attacking power is mediocre with only base 97 attack. Its ability, Fencer, increases the power of Sword Slash however, which is nifty.
  17. Dragonfly - this is the least innovative name you have ever seen. It's bug/dragon-type, incredibly fast, actually quite strong, but its coverage is incredibly limited. Not a great cleaner versus more defensive teams, but could be dangerous for offense. Like Crushtacean, it has no Bug-type physical STAB without using Concealed Power. Its special attack is okay (78) so maybe Bug Buzz could be used on a mixed Choice Crown set as a substitute. Concealed Power is the only physical move it has which can hit steel-types even neutrally, let alone super-effectively, except for Dig.
  18. Gerbolt - The electric rodent, a pure electric type. It is fast, specially offensive, and frail, but with some fun options like Energy Draw and Recharge. Unfortunately, to access ice-type coverage, it needs to utilise Berry Blast (a special equivalent of Natural Gift), but at least it can recover HP via cheek pouch in doing so. (note: maybe we should make the power of berry blast quite high to make it a more viable option)
  19. Gurilla - the grass-type starter, its secondary typing is fighting. It is a versatile offensive threat, with an extensive movepool, and two STABs which can work with a variety of coverage options. Its attack is solid at 114, and it happens to have a good special defense stat too, though its speed is fairly average. It has access to SubPunch, Reversal, Belly Drum, and Bulk Up, making it incredibly adaptive.
  20. Halicia - An ice and fairy type, its name a mixture of Hail, Halo, Ice, and the name Alicia, it is the snow angel Pokemon. It has good special attack at 115, and incredible base 138 special defense. It can definitely function defensively or offensively, with Wish and Health Orbs, or a Choice Crown for the most obvious approaches, but more novel options like SubDisable, or Cold Chills (which sharply drops the special defense stat of the opponent, unless they are Ice- or Fire-type) have potential too.
  21. Karatoad - A water and fighting-type battling toad, created by drud! Its base 105 attack is its most standout stat, while its speed is a mediocre base 55. Nonetheless, a great offensive typing, acceptable stats, and boosting options like Bulk Up and Belly Drum ensure it has a lot of potential.
  22. Kastral - Kastral's name is a mixture of Kestral (a bird) and astral, making it an exceptionally high-flying bird, which is psychic- and flying-type. It is fast, and physically strong - making it a rare physically-inclined psychic-type. Infiltrator is a useful ability it has access to. Furthermore, it has access to Health Orbs.
  23. Katakomb - Katakomb and Nimpur are a pair of cats - Katakomb resides deep in underground caves, while Nimpur lives in the sky. Katakomb is a corruption of catacomb, while nimpur is a portmanteau of nimbus and purr. Katakomb is Ghost- and Fairy-type, with decent 60/100/108 defenses. It has a deep movepool, but perhaps its limited recovery options will restrict it from utilising much of it. And, it has 3 immunities!
  24. Kobolt - The twin of Alkeminx, Kobolt is a trouble-maker. Its name is a mixture of Kobold - a type of mythical sprite, Cobalt, a metal named after Kobold originally, and bolt, and hence is a Dark- and Steel-type. Like Alkeminx, it has Prankster, but it has Defiant rather than Competitive. Like Alkeminx, it has a bag full of tricks, and also like Alkeminx, it is very difficult to figure out what it will end up doing.
  25. Komodon - Komodon is based on a Komodo Dragon (hence the name). It is a slow, bulky Dragon- and Poison-type, with Legend's Curse as a boosting option (boosting its lackluster attack and special defense), and a variety of set options, from weaker ones that can't boost but have perfect neutral coverage, to those with very limited coverage but the potential for immense power.
  26. Locus-Pokus - The best name, hands down, of any Pokemon here. A mixture of Locust and Hocus-Pokus, this Bug- and Ghost-type is awesome. It has excellent base 110 speed, and an average but usable base 90 Special Attack. Whilst it may seem somewhat frail, with only 70/70/65 for bulk, it has excellent survivability for 2 reasons: firstly, Leech and Soul Drain are dual STABs which heal 100% of damage dealt. Secondly, its ability Vigilant protects it from critical hits, ensuring it has the room to play as much on the margins as need be without the risk of it all falling apart.
  27. Lopsicle - An Ice/Ground-type, Lopsicle's name comes from flopsy (a word describing rabbit ears) and icicle. It is a large snow rabbit, and its typing exploits the buffed type chart very well: it is weak only to Steel, Fighting, and Fire, and with Thick Fat it is no longer weak to Fire and gains a resistance to Ice. In total, a Thick Fat Lopsicle is immune to Electric, and resists Ice and Poison. It is an excellent defensive pivot, with well-balanced and high stats, with a decent array of options available to it.
  28. Metalmorph - Metalmorph's name is a mixture of Metal and Metamorph, and it is a Steel- and Psychic-type with a curious ability: Scrap Recycler ensures that, if the opponent is Steel-type, 33% of all damage dealt is recovered. It has excellent special attack and defense, making it a prominent and unique special attacker. It also gets Health Orbs and Transform!
  29. Morgallup - A ghost-type horse! Similar to the fairy-type Uniclops, it is fast, physically offensive, and otherwise unremarkable. Its name is a combination of Morgue and Gallop.
  30. Narwhale - Literally a Narwhale (otherwise known as a Narwhal). The unicorn of the sea certainly deserves a representation as a Pokemon!! It is a well-rounded, bulky Water- and Fairy-type which is extremely versatile. With an excellent typing it is sure to be one of the more important Pokemon to prepare for in the metagame.
  31. Nimpur - Katakomb and Nimpur are a pair of cats - Katakomb resides deep in underground caves, while Nimpur lives in the sky. Katakomb is a corruption of catacomb, while nimpur is a portmanteau of nimbus and purr. It is an Electric- and Fairy-type with a decent amount of options, but it does face some competition from other electric-types. One thing that is helpful is its decent access to coverage moves, giving it an easier time versus Ground- and Grass-types than some other Electric-types have it.
  32. Orbolt - Orbolt plays a hugely significant defensive role at the moment, being a hard stop to all the soar abusers - Kastral, Stormkite, Shrike, and Rokaw, as well as the Water- and Flying-type Albastorm. As an Electric- and Psychic-type with Levitate, its Electric typing simply adds resistances to Flying, Steel, and Electric. It is still perfectly exploitable, with its weaknesses to Bug, Dark, and Ghost, as well as overall modest bulk, but it really blunts the threat of some otherwise incredibly dangeorus Pokemon. Furthermore, it has Health Orbs, and is possibly the most valuable and splashable defensive user of the move.
  33. Pandorable - This Fire-type is based on a Red Panda! Its name is a mixture of Panda and adorable, and it is cute and fluffy :3 Its pure fire typing and excellent special defense make it a wonderful answer to fairy-types, and with a STAB move combined with Toxic is a simple yet elegant means of spreading status. Rekindle (a clone of Recover) helps to keep it healthy throughout a match.
  34. Panthaw - a name combining Panther and Thaw, this snow cat has an exceptional base 141 attack stat. However, the rest of its stats are mediocre, its attacks are fairly low BP, and its typing offers little defensively.
  35. Phoenyx - A fire- and flying-type, Phoenyx has great special attack and defense. However, lack of coverage makes Rock-types in particular hard to get through. It does have some usable utility options like Canopy (a Safeguard clone) and Light Screen, but it's certainly no wallbreaker.
  36. Porcuspine - The normal-type, its name comes from Porcupine and Spine, and it has good HP+Defense, 100/130, and Spikes. Its lack of coverage options is somewhat limited, so really it is just a subpar physical wall, but with Spikes, which gives it its niche.
  37. Rakunuki - Rakunuki is based on the japanese Tanuki, and the raccoon, hence the name. It is a Normal- and Ghost-type! It has decent attack and speed with passable stats elsewhere. It is immune to its own STABs. It has the ability Pickpocket, with a decently deep movepool.
  38. Rokaw - Rokaw is a good normal- and flying-type with good stats across the board, and can function as a physical or special attacker. With Natural Cure, it is the best answer to Locus-Pokus in the game.
  39. Scorpox - Scorpox's name is a mixture of Scorpion and Toxic. It is a Bug/Dark type, a unique and awesome typing. The only type resisting both of its STABs is Fairy, and it has the ability Deadly Sting which gives it a STAB boost on Poison-type moves. In fact, it hardly needs more than Poison+Dark coverage, though the Bug-type STAB can enable it to hit opposing Dark-types harder [wonder if maybe we should nerf the ability to give less of a boost, so that there is more incentive to use its bug-type STAB]. It has good attacking stats on both ends, with the rest of its stats being passable, and an adequately deep movepool, enabling it to be somewhat adaptable.
  40. Sharshock - Sharshock is an electric shark, and hence a Water- and Electric-type. It is deigned to be the Water-type that owns other Water-types, resisting their attacks and retaliating with Electric-type moves of its own. Its defensive stats are adequate - in fact it has a quite decent defense stat - and it's attack is a good base 112, with alright speed too.
  41. Shrike - A steel/flying-type, Shrike is an awesome bird. It is based on the bird of the same name, which impales its prey on spikes (look how cute yet deadly it is: https://youtu.be/okQYO10MT3c). Its name is also an anagram of the word shreik. Shrike, the Pokemon, has barbs under its wings, hence it has the ability Iron Barbs! It has good attack and speed, and is quite frail, but its typing is so defensively excellent, and it has access to roost, that it could potentially even fill a defensive role. It has access to Spikes - part of the idea is that it can make a good offensive Spikes setter. It can sweep with Soar, and so, in spite of its low BST, its numerous excellent traits ensure that it will have some sort of a role in the metagame.
  42. Slugly - The Pokemon with the lowest BST thusfar, Slugly is an ugly slug, of course. It is a pure Poison-type. It has excellent HP and dire speed, with somewhat low offensive stats, but the good bulk makes up for it somewhat. It has Enrich, a move which boosts its defense and special attack, lowering its speed, as a boosting option, and Syphon on the physical side, helping it stay healthy, but with its mediocre attack and high HP it is probably is not its best option.
  43. Stalk - Not one of my favourite designs tbh, we need more interesting ideas for grass-types, honestly ;w; anyway, it's a Grass/Dark-type, and the idea of it is a mixture of plant stalks, and some sort of big cat like a tiger (something which stalks its prey). Good offensive stats n so on.
  44. Stormkite - Mon so strong i wanna nerf it, it's an electric/flying-type, with good stats all around and is incredibly dangerous with Soar, that has plenty of great options.
  45. Surchin - Based on a sea urchin, this slow water- and psychic-type has access to Spikes and the ability Spiny (it would be based on an urchin like this: https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q00Ee2JqldI/TniEui4AGHI/AAAAAAAAA7U/s1uHORdi5Go/s1600/sea-urchin-sea-urchin.jpg). Spikes are the main draw, but it does have Trick Room as well, and Wash Away, and a decently deep movepool too.
  46. Terrattle - A poison- and ground-type, Terrattle's name is a mixture of terra (meaning earth) and rattle (as in a rattlesnake). It has intimidate and shed skin as abilities, and good offensive stats and speed. Raze and Syphon complement Intimidate in a way that means it could certainly function as a more defensive Pokemon too.
  47. Tortanium - With defensive stats of 55/195/80, Tortanium is an exceptionally bulky physical wall. However, its movepool is bereft of support moves beyond Toxic and Reflect. With base 97 attack, as well as Bulk Up and a decent selection of offensive moves, it can retaliate in an offensive way, so in the end it is more of a very slow, very bulky tank, than a support Pokemon.
  48. Uniclops - Uniclops is a unicorn, with good attack and speed and a pure fairy typing. It can act as an offensive health orbs setter.
  49. Usurpent - A dark/dragon-type with great special defense. It is the dual of komodon.
  50. Wallaroo - Based on a wallaby/kangaroo, Wallaroo is a fast, and moderately strong, Fighting-type.
