- Thanks to a DNS work-around, several Pokemon events from 2008 to 2013 can be pulled for all Pokemon Gen 4 and 5 titles due to a "bug"/exploit in Nintendo WFC since it's been shut down. Status: Running.
- Three methods:
- đťź·. WIIMMFI / RIICONNECT24 - Primary DNS: 164.132.44.106
- - Allows players to trade and battle via WiFi Club in Gen 5 AND allows for players to collect mystery gifts.
- - NOTE: In Gen 5, these Pokemon cannot be obtained on this server:
- Pokemon Hills Mewtwo
- Shiny Giratina
- 2013 World Championships Smeargle
- Ray Rizzo’s Metagross
- Toler Webb’s Ludicolo
- Abram Burrows’ Cloyster
- 2012 World Championships Pikachu
- Summer 2012 Pikachu
- Summer 2011 Karrablast
- Video Game Championships 2012 Larvitar
- 2. WIIMMFI 2 (Kaeru WFC) - Primary DNS: 178.62.43.212 Secondary DNS: 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
- - Recommended for after you receive all the Mystery gifts since no Mystery Gifts are available on this DNS server.
- - Allows players to trade and battle via WiFi room (Gen 5), grants access to GTS, as well as the ability to view and upload battle videos.
- - http://pkmnclassic.net/gts/ will allow you to see all of the Pokemon that have been deposited for Gen 4 and 5 WiFi on this server.
- 3. Zwei.Moe (WFZWEI) Primary DNS: 172.104.88.237
- - Recommended Server for receiving Mystery Gifts and allows access to all of them shown on the Shacknews list.

- If you have trouble, it's one of dozens of error codes where the solution is unknown.
- Check the Shacknews article for some fixes or try starting fresh with a new internet connection in the Nintendo WFC.
- You do not need to beat the Elite Four to use the Poke Transporter.
- Gen 4 will work, but has to be configured within the game itself (use the same info, but once you're inside the game).
- You have to be using an older router or lower end hotspot under WEP to get it to work though.
- It will not connect without it. If it gets code 52100, you may need to put it on an iPhone network or you're out of luck.
