- Pretty much the standard Fake Out + attacking weavile set that you will see on 99% of weaviles (that aren't part of the infamous Justified + Beat Up duo). The fastest Fake Out in the game, combined with a super effective hit from any of other 3 attacks is almost always enough to get the job done. I've included calcs below that I lifted from Smogons gen 5 weavile analysis that really show how much power Weavile has, so credit to them for doing the leg work :). As for teammates, anything that can deal with scizor and conkeldurr, both of which carry priority moves that are super effective on weavile. Talonflame stands out as the best teammate, resisting both Bullet and Mach Punch and being able to OHKO Scizor and Conkeldurr with Flare Blitz and Brave Bird. Focus Sash ensures that weavile not only stays around as long as possible, but also will allow it to take advantage of its ability Pickpocket which steals an opponents item if they make contact with Weavile (this ability will not steal Mega Stones). Jellicent also makes a good partner, being able to come in on the fighting, steel, and fire attacks that are directed at Weavile and shrugging them off no problem. Electric types in general make strong partners, being able to take out Steel and Water types that Weavile cannot touch. [Mega] Manectric is a great example, being able to use Overheat or Tbolt on these walls.

- If you're a borrible person and want to run the infamous Justified + Beat Up combination then this is the set for you. For those unfamiliar, the strategy involves having a fast, low attack pokemon use beat up on a teammate with the ability Justified. Justified boosts the pokemon's attack by 1 stage everytime it is hit with a dark move. Beat Up will hit one time for every healthy ally, so generally you want to lead with this strategy (if you're a horrible person). I've given weavile the absolute minimum attack to hit Beat Up and do as little damage as possible, and max speed because you want to have your Justified sweeper as fast as possible, without outspeeding your beat up user. The best partner for this strategy is terrakion or lucario, who are super fast, hit very hard, and resist beat up. I'll also include a link to Serebi.com that lists all of the pokemon in gen 6 that have beat up as an ability. Please don't use this strategy, but if you do, beware follow me and ragepowder users that will redirect the beat up onto themselves, leaving you unboosted and in a lot of trouble (but you deserve it).

- If you save Weavile to late game, you may be able to sweep with it after setting up a swords dance. +2 attack weavile is a threat that can OHKO Mega Charizard Y, will always OHKO standard aegislash in shield forme, Thundurus, physically defensive Togekiss, Amoonguss and more. The ideal teammates for this set are pokemon that can take care of threats to Weavile, Talonflame fits the bill perfectly, taking out users of Mach Punch and Bullet Punch that threaten Weavile. Electric types in general also make strong partners, being able to take out Steel and Water types that Weavile cannot touch. [Mega] Manectric is a great example, being able to use Overheat or Tbolt on these walls.

- Checks & Counters
- Bulky Steel and Water types take little damage from Weavile and can threaten with Scald or Steel STAB moves. Suicune, Escavalier, Rotom Wash, Defensive Politoed, Mega Blastoise, Jellicent, and [Mega] Gyarados are all fairly strong checks to Weavile. Speedy Choice scarf users like Mienshao, Chandelure, Rotom Heat, Heracross, and Darmanitan are all examples of pokes that outspeed with a scarf and threaten to OHKO. Bullet Punch users like [Mega] Scizor and [Mega] Lucario, and Mach Punch users like Infernape and Conkeldurr also threaten Weavile with super effective priority hits. Lastly, Intimidators that aren't weak to Weavile's STAB moves also hurt its potential, these include arcanine, hitmontop, and scrafty in particular.
