  5. >>>WHEN DO I FIND TEMPERED MONSTERS?
  6. Starting from level 4
  7.
  8. >>>HOW DO I GET LOTS OF MONSTER PARTS?
  9. All sources of loot from monsters (shinies, tail carves, captures, body carves) have the exact same drop table and chances. It's often a complete waste of time to try and cut a monster's tail for one extra carve, as the bulk of rewards is going to be from shinies. That one extra loot is useless. There's only one reason to cut tails and that's explain in the next question.
  10.
  11. Guiding Lands monsters drop shinies whenever they stagger, whenever their parts break or whenever you wallbang them. 1 for each specifically. It's possible for a monster drops multiple shinies if these things happen simultaneously, however.
  12.
  13. Just hunt a monster the way you'd always do, but be careful; if you do shit like stunlocking a monster with status and traps, it will not be able to stagger at all, so you will miss out on shinies. It's time to get gud.
  14.
  15. As of writing, there's also a bug where equipping Geology 1 (not higher) lets you grab shinies twice so go nuts with that until it's fixed.
  16.
  17. >>>I WANT MORE LURES/I WANT TO FIND X MONSTER IN A LEVELED REGION
  18. Level an area to 4 minimum (preferably one where monsters have cuttable tails a lot, such as the forest region), and hunt tempered monsters. Carving/capturing a tempered monster always gives an entire lure, but you also get another lure by carving a tempered monster's severed tail. That's 2 lures for one hunted monster. No I'm not saying special tracks, I'm saying COMPLETELY FINISHED LURES THAT CAN BE USED IMMEDIATELY
  19.
  20. The special track system is pretty fucking garbage and really only functions as a cherry on top of hunting tempered monsters. Don't bother looking for signs of turf wars, don't bother trying to complete a specific special track, just hunt tempered monsters.
  21.
  22. If you're trying to find a specific monster, hunting in its designated area for longer periods of time increases the odds for the game to generate new monsters in that area, so be patient and just kill some shit.
  23.
  24. >>>I WANT TO FARM A MONSTER IN A REGION THAT ISNT LEVELED, NOW WHAT?
  25. You can summon any monster you have a lure of even if that region's level is at 1. You won't be able to get tempered materials, but you effectively have access to everything else without leveling it this way.
  26.
  27. >>>FUCK THE GUIDING LANDS I HAVE TO DELEVEL A REGION JUST TO GET THIS ONE NON TEMPERED MATERIAL AGAIN
  28. As long as you've gathered a monster's material once, that material will forever show up at the melder's item melding screen, and can be melded at a 1:1 ratio using the tempered equivalent. In fact, you can meld monster materials using ANY material from a higher tiered monster with access to the same region as that monster, including invaders, albeit at a 1:4 ratio or even less. That said, TRY TO AT LEAST GATHER ONE OF EACH MONSTER'S MATERIAL. That way their material becomes accessible at the melder. All you have to do is grab their shinies, so just wallbang a new monster you encounter one or two times until it drops its unique material, or actually play the game and hunt the monster)
