This world has what they call monster hunters. They fight men and monsters alike with swift precision, casting spells, imbuing your sword with magic properties in order to allow for higher damage on your opponents. Adventurers called monster hunters are sent on a mission by the King of Lorian to destroy the evils that lay within the corrupt Sheghold cave. As they reach the entrance of the cave they steel themselves for whatever comes next as they make their way inside. Walking around the internal caverns for a while, they notice that this place is bigger than they expected. In the distance they can hear echoes, human screams and moans, monsters roaring. They reach a particular part of the cave where they find dozens of villagers hung up from the cave walls, some barely still alive and conscious, others dead with half their bodies or limbs missing, old bones scattering the cave floor on which they stand. They deduct that this must be some sort of monster feeding ground, they turn around to face one of the cave tunnels, when suddenly they hear an echoing loud roar. Rushing out of the tunnel and into their direction a massive creature comes into view, it makes the powerful and weak villagers scream in fear as the hunters ready their weapons to face it.

> Yuki readies his shield and plants it on the ground in anticipation of the Monster's CHARGE.
The creature looks like some kind of animal, it dives and rolls as it knocks Yuki off his feet. He tries to get back up but the creature has already got his foot placed on him and is about to strike at his head with claw.
"Don't worry new guy there's no way you could survive this!"

> Livb conjures a cookie out of thin air and throws it at the monster in hopes of distracting it and making go away.
"Look everyone a cookie!"
The monster looks at the cookie with interest and suddenly backs off. Yuki exclaims to the rest that this is his chance and starts rolling around the cave trying to get away but runs straight into another monster this one looking like some sort of humanoid lizard.
To everyone's surprise, the humanoid looking lizard picked up Yuki and stood him straight up to get him back on his feet. The humanoid lizard then spoke and said "Come on ape, don't you want to live? The name's Tundra by the way" as he helped up Yuki.
"Listen all monsters are sentient beings, you can't hunt them for sport or fun, and you sure as hell can't eat them."

> Acti says "What are we supposed to do as a job then? We're monster hunters. WE HUNT MONSTERS!"
"Meh, that's great and all. But did you ever think about maybe catching said monsters instead?"
"What?! Catching monsters, are you high?"
"Pfft he's not high, go on..."
"I swear to the Gods! Are you even listening to me?
To catch them is their real quest? They pondered. Are we the monsters for hunting? The Monster hunters asked themselves. Should we really have been just capturing them to sell to the many Magicians and kings?"
TUNDRA! Mind giving us a hand over here?!
The lizard man strips his armor off, armor that surprisingly fits all of them except Tundra, after this he says something that they do not understand.
"What did he say?".

> Livb casts her magics to turn all the party members into Lizardmen to be able to understand what the Lizard says. And the Lizard said.
Livb casts her magic and it surprisingly works to give all the members of the party an idea of what the lizard was saying.
He said, "I speak too fast for you humans, Slow now. I will help you catch up."
"Thanks for your help friend lizard. Now we should introduce ourselves to each other now that this has been sorted out, what are you called?", Yuki asks the Lizardman while performing a respectful bow.
"I am Terak, thankee kind sir!".
Tundra says "Since we are all Lizardmen now, you can fully understand me right ex-Monster Hunters? Instead of hunting monsters how about we hunt the real monster here. The KING who gave us this task!"
"You're talking about commiting treason, instead of that why don't you discuss what is really on your minds."
The new friends do not take long to warm up to each other now that they all could communicate with ease. Yuki and his fellows soon told the true reason they were here.
"Basically, me and the rest just got sick of how the capital was treating us. They called us heroes but only gave superficial gifts and never any thanks, so we came here in hopes of being treated justice.

> Acti says "As long as I get the gold from the King, I am willing to do anything"
"We're with you"
"Yarr!"
The party then said that they'd help them get a good deal on buying equipment, then after they started heading for the capital. On the way Yuki and Tundra walked aside.
"So, you really think we'll be able to pull this off?".

> Yuki nods in affirmation and confidence.
They soon reached the city, and the place where the equipment was sold to them was exactly as they remembered it. The old man sitting behind the desk looks shocked at their lizard appearance, but after they speak to him in Common Tongue he realizes that it's them.
"....What happened to you all?".

> Livb says "Your lizard overlords are here human. KNEEL!"
"...Let me guess. There are some things called Lizardmen that decided to make you all into one of them, and now you're here to get the old price for equipment deal?"
"Yep! now hand it over!'.
After the deal they went to head back to the camp. When they got there, the other members were surprised of how fast they came back. Tundra approached Yuki with a grin on his face.
"You didn't think we would really go ahead and betray the king, did you?".
Everyone was shocked at this revalation from Tundra. Is this lizard holy paladin actually a double agent? Everyone wanted to know how he really felt about the situation.
"I....Would've been disappointed if you weren't."
"You're not mad?".

> Tundra says "Yes I am a double agent. It was merely a prank. But since you were willing to go along with this assassination plot, then I have no choice"
"Nooooo!" "TUNDAAAAAAAA!" the Party members tried to beg for their lives but Tundra ignored them and shot the entire party before Yuki stopped him.
"Wait what are you doing, yelling stop won't do any good..

> Acti threatens Tundra and said menacingly while holding his bow and arrow straight "I don't care what you are, but I am not afraid of releasing this arrow right through your lizard skull"
Tundra then sits there speechless as Yuki explains EVERYTHING to Tundra. From the start, why they came out here to begin with and even after Yuki was done speaking..
"Just make sure this doesn't happen again..." says Tundra and leaves the party.
The monster hunters slowly and stealthily stalked Tundra to where ever he goes and keep an eye on him.
They notice that he seems to prefer his own company and never visits the town or villages unless they are of no use to him.
In only a month he had destroyed 4 evil monsters and saved countless people without ever taking credit for it.
The lizardman hunters party begins to get bored of just watching and begin to want something to do. Just as they are about to make their move and ruin everything Yuki stops them.
From the shadows the party emerges, Livb then throws a cookie at Tundra and says "Help us kill the King and you shall have more of that delicious cookie"
It worked.
"Thats more like it, now I know you're thinking clearly".
The party worked on a full plan for months to kill the King and get away with it. It would be no easy task, but it could be done. They were ready.
The party then expertly went to the Palace to execute their amazing plan to kill the King and get away with it.
At first everything was going just as planned, but then blood was shed and lives were lost...
It started when these fools had to try to kill a king who actually has magic.
"Bring out the Heathens to their execution!

> Acti orders his giant rat to nibble at the king as a distraction.
As the rat jumps onto the King, the King lights it on fire instantly killing it.
"You shall have no heathens in my kingdom, you're already infidels after all!" the king laughed as the rat burned to ash.

> Yuki activates his ace in the sleeve and summons a phalanx of shields to create a wall between them and certain death.
Yuki thought it would be nice to be behind a wall of allies as opposed to the usual lone wolf job he was accustomed to.
The King was furious, the normal wall of soldiers he had weren't being so cooperative with him.
They fired arrows back in forth madly.
"I'll teach you bastards!"
The party escaped with the skin of their teeth and vowed to return stronger. They went on a mission to eat humans in order to become stronger. Strong enough to one day return and kill their enemies!
They wanted to kill the king more than ever now. They eventually returned readier and stronger than before.
The adventurers went out to make sure they are ready. They tested our their new found strengths by challenging the king's generals to a duel. The 4 adventurers vs the 4 great generals of the kingdom.
Several bruises, black eyes and breakages later they managed to kill all of them.
"Have we become demons...? No. We are simply taking back what's ours and avenging our race."

> Acti says "LIZARD RAT LIVES MATTER!!" in a roaring shout"
Truly, this is a moving message. The adventurers then went on to develop signature poses for when they strike fear into the hearts of their enemies.
They then returned to the town to eat their fill. Lots of it. All of the villagers were deprived of food that night, but they were just peasants in the scheme of things.
But there is this sneaking suspicion on the Back of Yuki's mind. What was his race at the very start. When he was born he had none. When he evolved he became a beastman. Then an orc. Now, he's a lizard person. But does that really make him any of these things? Yuki goes off moodily into a corner from the feast.
"What's gotten into Yuki?"
They all wonder what the meaning of his life is. Was it to create a nation only for himself? That didn't sound too fun. Was it just to be an adventurer with his friends?
Yuki in an affirmation confirms to himself. Yes indeed the journey, the adventure. The friends he had made along the way is what life is all about. And the goals they have set and they need to reach. To kill the king in cold blood with the friends he made along the way.
"I'm going to kill the king... I'm just not exactly sure why, but I know it'll be fun."
They all laugh. A true friend knows the truest meanings of things. And this was a fun time indeed! Yuki goes back in the room with a happy growl.
Livb creates a Rat plushie and gives it to Acti as a reminder of those that have fallen.
"You miss them yes? I miss them as well. Tell me, what's it like to use these ratling bastards as an example for those that would dare defy the king?"
The adventurers decide to all go to sleep. The good food has made their stomachs grumble in hunger that only eating can solve!
The next morning the adventurers ready their gear, steel their hearts, sharpen their scales and they began their march to the castle. To fight the king once more!
The king was reading "How To Torture Your Prisoners 101" to his son, the prince, while drinking a glass of wine when the king opened the door for the annual heroes' welcome.
The king was greatly upset by their return. The adventurers were slightly confused.
"You done fucked up dude. What the fuck did you do?"
The adventurers were angry but the king could not be bothered.
"You bastards! All of ya! I'm gonna have your heads for this! Call the guards!

> Acti shoots an arrow into the king's leg.
The king let out a roar of pain as the guards rush into the room.
"You shoot the king?"
"I didn't shoot him. He got shot."
The adventurers don't know what to believe. They surround Yuki while Dendrin watches on with glee.
He goes through his bag to find food.

> Yuki charges to the wall of guards with his tower shield and knocks them all down.
The tower shield is used perfectly as a ram as it plows through the line of guards knocking them all down like pins in a bowling for a perfect strike. The king, still recovering from his arrow wound only looks on in horror of what Yuki has done. With this opportunity, they all rush forward to grab the prince and escape.
The Lizard transformation spell that Livb casted on the party a long time ago has been dispelled. Everyone turns back to their original non-lizard form except for Tundra who was always a Lizard Person.
"Fuck you, my new friends! Fuck you!!!" the king shouts pointing at Tundra angrily.
Tundra and his prince hostage scurry away from the king's room far away from the castle all the way outside of it where they all change back into their normal form.

> Tundra says "while looking at the prince "We could get ransom for this prince or better yet, kill him and end his lineage. The king is not gonna get any younger."
But Tundra and the rest didn't know that the king was already doing something to prevent his children from killing each other for the throne. He had made several clones of himself in secret which were all raised separately without knowledge of each other. He had planned it that way until he could see one of them was fit to be king.
Acti thought of a brilliant idea and muttered "What if we turn the prince into a Scaly lizard. The very foes the King hates. His son turned into them."
Honestly, he should have considered the act much sooner. He was the one who brought up turning people into lizards before when he didn't like them.
Acti used his bow to fire arrows at the prince to hold him still while Livb cast the Lizard Morph spell on him. Soon, the prince had taken the shape of a reptile but he wasn't a De-mate like before. Everyone was unsure of what type of lizard was beyond the obvious difference of scales.
But it didn't matter to Tundra, this fellow was on his side. The king will pay and pay dearly.
The party then released the boy prince back into his father's room and waited for his evil minions to find their ruler and his son.
It was only a matter of time before they arrived with a loud shout.
"What is the meaning of this?!?" the king bellows looking from side to side.
The lizard that was once the king's son is over took with hunger for flesh. Enough so that he attacks the king, his own father!
While the king is being torn apart by his son, everyone slips out into the hallway and away from the castle.
What awaits them is their destiny to conquer the land. Civilization will fall.
Tundra takes his rightful place as the right hand man of the new KING. The prince that was once a man now turn a lizard. A PROPER LIZARD KING!
Acti then transforms back into his preferred lizard form and lives out his life as a lizard that hunts humans. A Lizard human hunter.
Livb settled into her new life as Tundra's lover and sorcerer apprentice.
That's right. Sorcerer.
The new Lizard King didn't stop at killing his father and seizing the throne, the fool went on to raze every city and town between the swamp and the mountains.
And thus the friend's had their fun. Lizards they were, the deepest of friends. As civilization falls due to their actions, they laugh and proclaimed "Are we the baddies?". "Yes, yes we are!" They all proclaimed in unison.
Legend has it, they all lived happily ever after. Unfortunately, they were the bad guys, and you know how these stories end.
