Judging your pineapples

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting at the counter with his computer set up in front of him, a few plans pulled up on the screen for his next video with Anna. He'd had a long call with her today about her next big idea and it was definitely quite the production so he was trying to get some hours put into planning it and outlining everything that was going to need to be done. He glanced up at the waitress as she came over with his omlette and hashbrowns, his eyes lighting up.-
Covet: Kelsey was just kind of staring down at her phone as she scrolled through messages. She'd been at it with her parents a bit because of their plans to go to LA for Connor's birthday. She could hear the disappointment in her Dad's messages in the group text but she let out a sigh, then looked up as her salad was brought over along with his omlette. "Thank you."
Alexithymiaa: -He picked up his fork and stabbed at some hashbrowns, pushing them into the egg and scooping it all together up to his mouth. Hearing her sigh, he furrowed his brows, looking at her. "What's up?"-
Covet: "They're not thrilled about us going to LA for the weekend, even though it's for a good cause. I told them we could do something specific with them on Sunday, so it's not like they're missing out entirely." She told him, "What are you working on over there?"
Alexithymiaa: "And theyre not into the idea of doing something on Sunday when we got back?" He asked with a raise of his brows. "Just some preproduction stuff for Anna's next video. She's got a lot of ideas so I'm trying to wrangle things into one cohesive piece."-
Covet: "They are, they just wanted the weekend, but I told them we already had plans. It is what it is." She said digging into her salad. "Oh yeah... I feel like I should do another video before the tour, but then I'm thinking there might not be enough time before now and then."
Alexithymiaa: "Well considering when your tour starts and the fact that I'm already signed onto this project? I really don't think I'm going to be able to fit in a whole different production between now and then." He said with a bit of a laugh, scooping more eggs into his mouth. "That would have been a good idea BEFORE I signed on with Anna."-
Covet: "It's okay, I know it's my fault. I guess, I could always go with someone else producing it, if I was that dead set on it. It just means that you and I wouldn't see each other as much during all of that." Kelsey said taking a bite.
Alexithymiaa: "You'd really do that?" He asked, feeling a pang of guilt now that the shoe was on the other foot.-
Covet: "If I have to, what choice do I have? You're already booked, and I'm not going to overload you just because I want a video made and didn't think ahead properly." Kelsey said poking at the lettuce on her plate.
Alexithymiaa: "Well yeah, but you're overloading yourself too trying to get the planning done on top of your tour planning, don't you think?" He asked quickly, trying to justify why she shouldnt go with a different director.-
Covet: "I know, and I've thought about that. But it would also look good to release something to spark more interest in the tour as well." Kelsey said to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Well a lot of things would look good. That doesn't mean you have the time to do them..." He started, scooping more eggs into his mouth.-
Covet: "I know." She said louder. "But it's a small sacrifice, even if it'll be different not working with you."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, not everyone runs a set like I do." He said as he sort of tooted his own horn. "It might be a weird adjustment."-
Covet: "Yeah, but it's good to branch out too right? I mean, it's nice to be able to rely on you to help with my videos, but just like you work with different artists, I should work with different directors." Kelsey said to him, taking another small bite.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know if it really matters. I work with different artists because if I only worked with you, I wouldn't really be working enough. You're not constantly putting videos out. No one artist is, that's why working with a lot of different people keeps me busy."-
Covet: "Yeah but even still, it's about willingness to be diverse. And if you're already booked, am I just supposed to wait? Cause I've already stated the complications with that option too."
Alexithymiaa: "I guess." He said with a shrug, dropping the topic because he didnt want her to continue telling him why she was going to work with someone else. He saw a message pop up on his screen, opening his app that allowed him to literally just text from his computer so he could answer Evan.-
Covet: Kelsey sighed and leaned over, "And it's not like you can tell Anna no at this point, that really wouldn't look good either." She said mumbling.
Alexithymiaa: "I can't. When I sign onto a project we work up a contract of what's expected. It doesn't really work like that." He said in a low voice, typing to Evan again.-
Covet: "Yeah.... I know." She said looking at him. " Everything okay over there?" She asked looking to change the subject.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, he's just..." He trailed off, unable to finish his thought until he was finished typing. "I don't know what the hell he's talking about."-

Covet: "Hmm?" She asked him raising an eyebrow, not wanting to necessarily butt into his business, because she wasn't supposed to really have any interaction with Evan.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad shook his head, brushing off Evan's weird messages. "Nothing, doesnt matter. He's not making any sense." He said as he grabbed for his fork again, eating some delicious hashbrowns.-
Covet: "Oh... okay then." She told him, biting her lip, then she pushed her salad away. "How's your dinner, erm... breakfast?"
Alexithymiaa: "It's perfect. Exactly what I wanted." He said with a wide smile, pushing more eggs and hashbrowns into his mouth. "Breakfast for dinner might be my favorite thing."-
Covet: "Yeah, We should do waffles one of these nights." Kelsey said with a smile leaning over on her hand.
Alexithymiaa: "Is there a waffle maker at Talon?" He asked as he set his fork down, grabbing for his napkin to wipe at his mouth. "We could put sprinkles in the waffle batter and make funfetti waffles."- (Literally me)
Covet: "No, but they aren't that expenive. And I like how you think. We could even top them with ice cream." She told him with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: -His eyes went a little wider, starting to nod his head. "That sounds amazing. And whipped cream. And hot fudge." He added, jumping on this bandwagon.-
Covet: "Yes, We can probably do all of that too. We'll do breakfast for dinner and dessert waffles. We could do that tomorrow night?" She asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "We can definitely do that tomorrow night. Did Connor pick a birthday dinner yet?" He asked as he finished off his eggs.-
Covet: "He hasn't told me yet." Kelsey said. "But I'm sure we'll get something figured out. Knowing him it will probably be pizza."
Alexithymiaa: "I mean... you really can't ever go wrong picking pizza." He started with a shrug, half defending Connor's food choices. "Also he's six, so there's that."-
Covet: "Exactly, even though he cooks with a fairly well defined pallet, he's still six and a boy, so pizza will be his life." She said with a laugh.
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : "It could be worse. At least pizza is something we'll all enjoy." He said as he looked down at the message popping up on his computer, answering Evan again.-
Covet: "Yes, this is true. You can never go wrong with it, unless you put anchovies on it, then it's not so good." She said scrunching up her nose.
Alexithymiaa: "Do real people actually put anchovies on pizza or is that just something Ninja Turtles do?" He asked in ALL seriousness.-
Covet: "I don't know. I've never seen people eat them, but they exist at pretty much every classic pizza place. None of the chain places really do." She said to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Because it's a waste of money for them to put it on the menu and keep it in stock since NO ONE eats it." He started to laugh, typing again. "In all of my time eating pizza, I've never actually seen it."-
Covet: "I hear they are super salty and fishy, and that just doesnt' sound good on pizza." She told him with a laugh.
Alexithymiaa: "Not at all. And I do like a bunch of different fish, but that sounds gross. I'll stick to pepperoni. Or peppers and onions. Or sausage." He nodded, beginning to daydream about pizza.-
Covet: "Yes, and pinapple." She added because she was one of those West coast abomination pizza lovers.
Alexithymiaa: (I actually like pineapple on my pizza and no one here makes it so I never get to eat it)
Alexithymiaa: "Pineapple? Really?" He asked, giving her a judging look. "But it's like... hot fruit."-
Covet: [I love it so much it's soooo good Pepperoni and Pineapple is amazing the perfect salty and sweet combo.]
Covet: "Yes, it is, but it's really good, it gives the right kind of zing that is delicious." She said to him with a grin.
Alexithymiaa: "But it's hot fruit." He repeated in monotone, clearly still judging her.-
Covet: "Okay and fresh pie out of the oven is also hot fruit, so is cobbler, there's lots of hot fruit. And if you have Tomatoes on a pizza that is hot fruit too." She argued
Alexithymiaa: "It's not the sameeeee." He whined, letting out a groan. "I can't believe you like pineapple pizza." He repeated, shutting his computer and twisting to slide it into his bag.-
Covet: "I can't believe there's food you don't actually like." Kelsey said with a laugh getting up so they could head home.
Alexithymiaa: "There's plenty of food I don't actually like. I don't like broccoli. Or spinach. Or celery. Or avocado." He said, swinging his bag up onto his back to follow her.-
Covet: "You like broccoli if there is lots of cheese on it, Still counts." She told him as they headed out.
