⟼ background : she has always had a burning passion for hip hop and rap, so she often participated in dance competitions with her troupe (a 4 member team she formed with her friends) named 'kagayaki' ('shine' in Japanese). they were eliminated during the semi finals of their first competition but made it as the runner up in their 2nd one. however they did not last long and yuzuru moved to SK with her parents [her father who used to be one of the most loyal employees of a famous gaming company got a promotion and was moved to the south Korean branch, as the leader of the character design team] and her younger sister (yukika, 12 yrs old — intl age). yuzuru had issues in getting adapted with her new life and could barely make friends at school, and shared her dream of becoming an idol to her parents. they were reluctant at first, but on performing 'i am the best' by 2NE1 with a group of student in hanlim (this school is known for hosting quite many idol trainees and they often upload the students' performances on youtube — yuzuru changed of schools from GeumDo High to Hanlim), she was scouted by a source music entertainment staff and her parents were actually glad for her. after auditioning, she got in, and even became friends with gfriend's SinB (they shared their knowledge on different dancing styles with each other). they still kept in touch with each other even when she was transferred to big hit.

• PICKY
she is picky about everything: food, clothes and even about people she wants in her entourage! she is not used to boys yet as she used to go to an all-girls school in Japan, thus she feels awkward whenever she is caught in the company of a boy and is quieter than usual.

• FIESTY
she doesn't give two shits about whether she is on broadcast or not and is always being her own savage self (swag™), although it gets funny at times. she is the type of person who would be quietly judging you with an intimidating frown (and a cat shaped neck pillow because sleeping is life) but she does not join the fun easily.

• STRICT and CARING
she is strict towards the members when it comes to composing and writing lyrics. she turns down all of their immature ideas, taking in those that match their concept only. the members tend to hold grudges against her at times but they know how hard working yuzuru is, so they support her no matter what. she seriously talks them out whenever she suspects the members to secretly be on a diet (*cough* YUJIN *cough*) and spends her own allowance money to buy food for everyone. she is the best person with whom you would like to have a deep conversation with but she'll lowkey spit rapid fire your way if you press on the wrong button.

• FUNNY
yuzuru can be funny when she wants to, much in favour of her variety skills (yoo jaeseok is shaking lol). [scenario e.g: MC: "who should step up for this random play dance? ___ (worst dancer in SELCOUTH)? / YUI: "we'd never make that mistake."] when she's with SORN, she tries her best to cheer her up and to make her smile, because she thinks that confidence is all she needs to become perfect.
