  6. >"Axel-" you begin to complain
  7. >"Ohhhh no you don't" he quickly cuts you off
  8. >"You have weekends off and do nothing but sit your ass on your computer, anyways."
  9. >He wasn't wrong.
  10. >"but it's the little peace time I get, dude.." you reply
  11. >In the end, he convinces you to go, telling you that there are gonna be some girls, and that you need a little someone.
  12. >You mostly did it because he's a good friend, and that you can take home some food that is laying around.

  14. >The day of the party
  15. >You started walking to Andy "Axel"'s house
  16. >You had known him since your childhood, lived within a mile of him, too.
  17. >Both of you were troublemakers, though you typically just followed him for the fun of it, pitching in your own little pinch of delinquency to whatever he came up with.
  18. >Lot has changed since then. You got a job, and he became the cool guy.
  19. >Course you two still speak to each other and hang out, he just tends to be busy most of the time.

  22. >At least fifteen cars were parked there.
  23. >And two vans. One of which you could see some people hotboxing in before they went in for the party.

  25. >With this many people, it was likely going to be cramped.
  26. >You approach his front door, and just walk in.
  27. >Music was already blaring, and people were already fucked up beyond belief.
  28. >"Hey-ey-ey! My man Anon!" Axel was warming up to some girl on the overlook.
  29. >Already? Lucky asshole.
  30. >Though he quickly leaves the girl in the dust has he jogs his way down a flight of stairs to greet you.
  31. >"What's up, Anon!? I was thinking you were gonna bail on me, glad you made it!" he swiftly hugs you and pats your back
  32. >to which you awkwardly return before breaking it
  33. >"Y-yeah, figured I should have a change of pace, loosen up in a different way, right?"
  34. >He smiles and nods "Yeah!"
  35. >He pats your back again "Want a drink? good way to start the night." he gives you a questioning look
  36. >he sounds like he's about to sell you something.
  37. >"sure, what's on the table?"
  38. >He grins when you take his offer "You know what, How about a bourbon? It'll warm you up and you'll start breaking out of that social shell of yours."
  39. >You never really were a drinker, guess there is always a first.

  43. everything seems to become a slight blur, as if time is passing a bit faster.
  44. You recollect yourself in front of a girl
  45. >"Hey?" she asks, a puzzled look on her face
  46. >you're a bit dumbfounded, it's been perhaps five minutes since you came in that door, and you can safely tell yourself you cannot hold a drink for the life of you.
  47. >"H-hm?" you realize you were standing there like an idiot
  48. >she doesn't seem to pay any mind "You're friends with Axel, right?"
  49. >"yeah?" you swear, if she is about to use you to hook up with him-
  50. >"Might you be Anon? As in Anon in the 8th grade that helped Axel pack a smoke bomb with cinnamon and blinded a quarter of the cafeteria?"
  51. >"Smoke bomb was Axel, he wanted to smoke the whole place out, but we wouldn't be able to sneak in that many. I added the cinnamon to blind and freak people out." you quickly added
  52. >her facial expression glows for a moment "So that was you! I'm Sarah! Sarah Quibell!"

  55. >She's the daughter of some CEO. it surprised you that she didn't go to private school for rich kids.
  56. >You never talked to her because you felt like you were being watched and that your life was in danger.

  79. >"oh really?" her tone definitely tells you that you just hurt her
  80. >"I work on weekdays, and next weekend I have a meeting!" Meeting part was a lie, you just didn't want to make any arrangements at the moment. you'll probably say it was cancelled and go along with her anyways.

  82. >You sigh "Listen, I'll give you my cell number, and you can call me to set a date, alright?"
  83. >she looks away for a moment, still frowning
  84. >"Fine.." she replies
  85. >Oh thank god.
  86. >You two exchange numbers, and she texts you on the spot to make sure it wasn't a phony number.
  87. >To which you reply, and she seems content
  88. >that being said, she then turns and walks off to do her own thing.
  89. >Though you are still drunk, that was a bit of a wake up call.
  90. you find your way to the snack bar and chow down for a minute, looking to see if you recognize anyone else.
  91. >you hear the some people come in- likely the stoners that were in that van- come in, shouting together: "TIME TO PARTYYY!!"
  92. >One of them has a fucking smoke machine on their shoulder, quickly looking for a place to hook it up.
  93. >"Hey dude!" you turn to your side to see a guy approaching you with a solo cup in hand. speaking in a bro/jock accent
  94. >"Yeah?"
  95. >"Axel has told me some of the crazy shit you two have done! why don't you stick around him any more?!"
  96. >His face is red, likely blacked out already.
  97. >"Grew up, decided to-"
  98. >"LAME!" the guy interrupts you, and puts a hand on your shoulder
  99. >"This is your prime, Anon! you're supposed to fuck, and get fucked!"
  100. >"Yeah I-"
  101. >"In two different ways, I mean." he interrupts you again, in a calmer voice
  102. >" My point is, as a friend of Axel's to another friend of Axel's: enjoy yourself!" and... back to the bro accent
  103. >You kinda have an urge to go home, but you feel like you'd be insulting your best friend.
  104. >In order to shake the guy off, you take his shoulder, and start nodding "You know what, Yeah!"
  105. >"That's the attitude! Someone get a keg!" this seems to work the guy up
  106. >"Yeah! Get me- wait, what?"
  107. >"We got a stiff that needs breaking in!"
  108. >Plenty of people can hear this guy shouting, and they start cheering.
  109. >Oh boy, too late to turn back now.

  111. >A few minutes pass, and sure enough, you find yourself on the receiving end of a keg, about to chug as much beer as you can.
  112. >Axel is in on this, and he brought himself to be the one to pour.
  113. >"CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!" A crowd had gathered, and has started chanting
  114. >You dont recall Axel's place turning into a fraternity house.
  115. >Axel smirks "Can't turn back now, everyone wants a show!" he starts lifting the keg, and with the help of you and one other, they start pouring it, with you drinking as fast as you can.
  116. >You were used to chugging from gallon jugs and 2 liter bottles but never something like this
  117. >needless to say, you got to what you guessed was about one third through before giving in. this was a decently sized keg, the size of a medium cooler, at least.
  118. >You got some cheers for your attempt, as far as they knew you were a stiff anyways.
  119. >Axel helps you stand up and starts rooting "Anon! Anon! Anon!"
  120. >Good pal.
  121. >"Alright..." you mutter out, you wanna get home before all this hits you and you end up stranded at his place.
  122. >"Hm?" Axel turns his head to you
  123. >"I'm gonna head out, it was fun."
  124. >"Awwww, c'mon dude.. it's been...." he checks his watch "an hour."
  125. >Hour? you thought it was thirty minutes. all the more reason to get home.
  126. >"Yea, it's been fun, but I need to get home. I have a dog I need to feed and let out before he shits on the floor, and-"
  127. >Axel seems a bit disappointed, but he nods.
  128. >"Fair enough, Anon. Lemme at least get you a container for you to take some food home with ya. a little party to go, eh?" He smiles as he leads you to the door, but props you on the wall to it
  129. >"yeah, mmhm.." you lean against the wall for a moment while Axel goes to pack you your 'party to go'

  132. >You weren't much of a party guy, it really was some fun, but next time you shouldn't get plastered so quickly and actually participate.
  133. >About halfway home, you have a really big urge to piss, like a liquid bowling ball just suddenly filled your bladder.
  134. >Taking your bag with a container and a few bags of junk food of what Axel gave you along for the ride, you jog into the remains of a path that you and Axel had cut out in your early years. it's starting be be overgrown, but you know where to walk.
  135. >Using your phone as a flashlight, and setting the food aside you go deep enough in to make sure nobody will see you and your Johnson.
  136. >One of the best pisses of your life.
  137. >as you finish and zip back up, you hear rustling behind you.
  138. >You're ready to fight something.
  139. >you quickly turn around to see that your food is gone, but you can hear the bag making noise as whoever took it starts to run

  141. >This SOB is tryna steal your cheetos!
  142. >You break into a sprint to chase whatever was making off with your extra $25 of food

  145. >You begin to lose your breath, the sound of the bags was beginning to just be an echo anyways.
  146. >slowing down and eventually coming to a stop, you take your breath and look around

  148. >You had chased this thing for at least five minutes
  149. >You realize that you're lost

  152. >Welp, Nobody can "hear you now"

  154. >After a minute or two of having a mild mental breakdown and catching your breath, you try your best to re-trace your steps
  155. >Instead of finding a way out- and thus, back home, you find the remnants of your bag. torn open, and a trail of broken containers, junk food bags, and portions of the food spewed across the ground.
  156. >"God damn- fucking hobos!" you call out in an agitated fit, kicking one of the containers.
  157. >Though with you being drunk you mostly kick up dirt and tumble the container slightly.
  158. >you hear some more rustling from a tree off to your right
  159. >big tree, too. surrounded by bushes.
  160. >Now isn't the time for gawking at some plant.
  161. >"You son of a bitch!" you call out, making a sprint for the bushes, expecting to get into a fistfight with some bearded homeless guy

  164. >As you make a leap towards the bushes, for a moment you see a massive open palm swing towards you.
  165. >with you being in the middle of a leap, you cant really do much about it.
  166. >You're sent tumbling away, only some overgrowth to cushion your travel and slow you down.
  167. >Dumbfounded, you quickly recover yourself and stand up, partially afraid of whatever just fucking turned you into a baseball

  169. >You hear growling, and you see it's figure, struggling to focus on it
  170. >But sure enough you do, and your blood runs cold, adrenaline filling your veins.
  171. >you want to yell, you want to run, but you're paralyzed on the spot
  172. >Fight or flight doesn't exist right now.
  173. >It's tall, at least 15 feet.
  174. >it snarls as it moves closer
  175. >Holy fuck.
  176. >You wanted to think it was some sort of mutant bear.
  177. >Bears don't walk on twos in such a familiar fashion

  179. >That's a wolf's muzzle
  180. >with Human features all over
  181. >fur all over

  183. >You began to think it was a werewolf

  188. >"W-w-Wait!" you cower and close your eyes
  189. >The snarling grows closer, and you brace for what you assume is death
  190. >You can hear the wind as it swipes
  191. >There is a sudden wimper, and you jolt as you hear a collision with the ground next to you
  192. >you open your eyes, and sure enough, there is a massive, fur-covered hand there
  193. >you slowly look over to the massive she-werewolf, whom is looming over you
  194. >it's bleeding from it's side
  195. >That's a bulletwound
  196. >Hard to make out, but with the location and shape of the blood-covered fur, you quickly take that assumption
  197. >You attempt to make a run for it, but found yourself quickly pinned to the dirt.
  198. >You call out in fear as you are then lifted by the collar of your clothing
  199. >Good thing you pissed earlier.
  200. >you're brought eye-to-eye with your predator
  201. >"A-AAAH!" you again call out, assuming you're about to be bent in half and eaten
  202. >But no.
  203. >The she-wolf points at you.
  204. >And then to the wound
  205. >"W-What?"
  206. >again, it points to you, and then to the wound
  207. >It.. wants... help?

  209. >You look over towards the wound
  210. >You learned how to perform CPR but that's about it.
  211. >You have a pair of tweezers back at home your bathroom cabinet
  212. >That's how the movies do it, right?
  213. >"U-uh.. I-I have pair of tweezers back at-"
  214. >Angry growl

  216. >She sets you down, and sits, turning their wound towards you, raising an arm, and looking at you expectantly

  220. >"haha.." you chuckle nerviously

  223. >You slowly step forward, looking up and fear somewhat hurries you, with her glaring at you like that.
  224. >You start to part blood-soaked and sticky fur
  225. >A wimper followed by a growl
  226. >"W-wait! I have to do this!" you quickly attempt to reassure your captor
  227. >She huffs, still watching you.
  228. >Your guess was correct, a bullet wound
  229. >Looks bad too. they've been moving a lot, as far as you know.
  230. >You have no idea what kind of round, though.
  231. >you think to yourself: 'Now how the hell am I expected to remove it?
  232. >With nothing else on your person, it leaves you with one decision
  233. >Use what you've been given: your hands.

  236. >She simply looks at you and lets out another huff.
  237. >You interpret this as a "whatever"
  238. >having zero medical expertise, you begin debating how to work this out
  239. >You decide on testing the waters using your pinky, try to get a feel for where the bullet is
  240. >You're met with the she-wolf tensing up and you immediately stop
  241. >your doctor always told you not to tense up when getting a shot
  242. >"R-Relax, it's going to hurt even worse if you tense up."
  243. >You receive a growl in response
  244. >It dawned on you that you're managing to communicate with a giant fucking wolf
  245. >You shake your head and continue your below-ignorant levels of medical expertise
  246. >it takes you a solid minute of you sucking up your fear and slowly feeling into the wound using a single finger
  247. >You've never seen this done.
  248. >If anything this is going to make the wound worse, right?
  249. >you bite your lip for a moment, and then your pinky collides with something hard
  250. >and the wolf wimpers, then huffing at you again
  251. >"alright, alright!" you quickly exclaim
  252. >"Worst part is now"
  253. >How the fuck are you gonna A-Team this without a knife, at the least?

  255. >She can just put up with it.
  256. >You're likely going to die either way.
  257. >You use some force to slide your finger around the back end of the bullet and next to it
  258. >She does not like this

  261. >Seems that fear kinda sobered you up.
  262. >Focusing on your finger, you do your damndest to hook it wound and slowly work your way to getting it out
  263. >takes you a few moments, but you manage to get it out.
  264. >The wolf then feels at their side and huffs for a few moments.

  266. >Fear sets back in now that you don't know what is going to happen next.
  267. >She looks at you, and huffs, making a "Go away." motion with her muzzle

  275. >It takes you at least forty-five minutes before you find a way out.

  287. >You fall to your knees. this was another lie. But the relief of being out of those woods makes you somewhat believable.

  290. >"I got myself cut up by thorns and a damn wolf tried to make me into dinner.

  326. >A few moments of silence pass before he speaks up again
  327. >"Listen, we just want to know what we can so we can get rid of this problem and protect people, alright?"

  329. >"It was deep in, I was running for forty or so minutes after I had fought it. I was lucky that it decided to let me run away. Even luckier that I found my way out. I had been lost in there all day"

  331. >You're eventually brought to your house, they tell you to be careful and to stay away from the woods for now.

  333. >You shower that night and have a nightmare of your experience.

  360. >When you remember this, you google bullet wounds.
  361. >See that doctors may or may not remove bullets depending on the location for various reasons, including blood loss

  364. >For a change in your usual routine, you're going to be leaving on the weekend.

  366. >You take a satchel and start packing it with medical supplies that you kept in a cabinet.

  369. >you take a few bottles of water and pack a lunch for yourself

  371. >you then put on your shoes and head out
  372. >Right into suicide
  373. >You find where you entered, and look around, doing a more sober attempt of retracing your steps.

  375. >take about ten minutes before you see the familiar area of bushes and the massive tree
  376. >You still wonder why that hasn't become a state monument

  415. >You set your bag down and open it, taking out a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, and get to work on disinfecting
  416. >She tenses up and gives you a growl
  417. >"Can't let it get infected."

  420. >She glances over towards you like you're stupid, and then shakes her head.
  421. >"So... Question: The government is after you, aren't they?"
  422. >She looks at you again, and shakes her head slowly before putting a palm over her face

  424. >She gives you a long hard look, before tapping her chin, thinking over the question, and then reaching to flick your head gently.
  425. >She doesn't know her own strength, it was more like you got hit with a foot ball that was thrown directly at your head
  426. >Lucky for you, you're used to stuff like this, given your history at school and getting into fights.
  427. >You're already started applying gauze and using medical tape to keep it down, avoiding fur as much as you can

  429. >You then take one of the bottles of water and walk around to her front
  430. >She continues looking at you.

  977. >Anon goes quiet for a moment and then sighs
  978. >"Since I was visiting on a regular basis, she started being happy to see me, and even hid me inside her den when she heard drones approaching."

  1003. >"Yeah, but he has a weak reason to have returned, if she did attack him." you respond
  1004. >"I believe the part about her attacking, given her past, but that is questionable." Christopher shrugs
  1005. >"We did find shoeprints in the den that match up to him." Shannon crosses her arms

  1034. >"You're wanted at the second level to see the subject"

  1037. >"I don't know. something about her activity has changed. Or something along those lines. they want you to see and confirm something."

  1042. >You then stand up and make your way to the elevator

  1044. >Made so that it is less likely to be seen from the surface.

  1058. >"The subject jumped and slammed into it." an assistant responds
  1059. >Damn...
  1060. >The subject's holding room was large, but for her to jump and actually damage the window..
  1061. >Surprising.
  1062. >"Mister Lark, Can you please come here?"
  1063. >A balding man beckons you over
  1064. >You pass by the main window, looking through it and noting the cracks.
  1065. >The subject was unconscious on the ground.
  1066. >"She had to be stopped before any damage happened. we're going to replace the glass and restrict her movement."

  1068. >"What did you need?"
  1069. >"Well." The man starts
  1070. >"She is different. but instead of just letting this out, I want you to see this. You've seen her previous activity and I want you to decide what action is to be taken next."
  1071. >He offers you a tablet, with a paused recording
  1072. >"This is the subject minutes after she initially woke."
  1073. >You play the video
  1074. >There are already scratches and a few dents in the walling.
  1075. >She is furiously pacing back and forth, growling and wimpering
  1076. >She's crying, on top of it all.

  1080. >At one point, she crouches on all fours, and leaps, body-slamming into the window

  1090. >The man nods "It was already planned, rest assured it will be done."

  1092. >"Administration says to hold any tests until the interloper is properly dealt with. focus on one thing at a time."
  1093. >"I caught the message, sir."
  1094. >"Good. I was saying so just in case."
  1095. >You look back to the man
  1096. >"I am sure her attitude will shift back to what we are used to."

  1098. >"Is that all?" you ask
  1099. >"Yes sir." the man responds

  1101. >You then turn and leave, going back to the first level and to your desk.

  1105. >This is terrifying
  1106. >Sometimes, in the back of your head, you think to yourself that you regret returning to Mia
  1107. >But you quickly shake the idea out of your mind
  1108. >You're in a cell.
  1109. >One bed, a nightstand, a tiny bathroom, and a small window that is on a metal door.
  1110. >You have no idea where you are.
  1111. >There is a guard standing right outside your door
  1112. >Your heart is in your stomach
  1113. >You wonder what is scarier: what they're going to do to Mia, or what they are going to do to you.
  1114. >You have nothing to do but lay around.
  1115. >You decide to do just this.
  1116. >You have a feeling that even if you did ask for anything, you wouldn't get even a book.

  1118. >You lay around for a few hours and you hear activity out your door.
  1119. >"Stay in your bed."
  1120. >A rough voice from outside the door commands you
  1121. >You sit up, but remain in the bed
  1122. >The door opens, and a man carries in a tray with food.
  1123. >He sets it on the nightstand, and then promptly leaves.
  1124. >The door closes and is locked.
  1125. >You look at the tray
  1126. >You guess they don't have any facilities here
  1127. >It's a bag of fast food.
  1128. >Simple burger, fries, and a bottle of water.
  1129. >You begrudgingly begin eating
  1130. >Not like you have a choice, given your situation.
  1131. >Once you finish eating, you shower.
  1132. >It feels weird to shower and get back into what you were already wearing
  1133. >At least they gave you a towel.
  1134. >After you put your clothes back on, you realize that they took your phone and satchel.
  1135. >Ugh..
  1136. >That sours your mood even further.
  1137. >Even though you've been knocked out, you're starting to feel tired, so you simply lay back down on the bed.

  1160. >You're also curious as to where you're going with her.
  1161. >As you think this, she begins slowing down, changing from her four-legged sprint
  1162. >To a two-legged sprint
  1163. >Down to a two-legged jog
  1164. >And she eventually stops, catching her breath.
  1165. >You have no idea why or where she stopped due to her standing up, but you climb down to a point and eventually jump off of her back.
  1166. >You look around
  1167. >She stopped at a river
  1168. >It's a freshwater river, at that.
  1169. >Regardless of your own will, you go up to the river, get down on your knees, and start drinking handfuls of the water
  1170. >In your mind you know this is unsafe.
  1171. >Mia comes up alongside you and begins drinking as well, mimicking you.
  1172. >You smile at her
  1173. >But you feel heartbroken
  1174. >Why?
  1175. >Why do you feel so sad?
  1176. >Mia leans her head close to you
  1177. >You hold her muzzle, petting the top of her head
  1178. >You want to cry
  1179. >Something isn't right
  1180. >None of this is right.
  1181. >She pulls away
  1182. >And draws a heart in the mud using her finger.
  1183. >You feel pressure on your face
  1184. >You want to cry so badly
  1185. >But it refuses to come out
  1186. >You chuckle, and reach to scratch the bottom of her chin

  1188. >And in that moment
  1189. >It all seems to get blown away by a breeze.
  1190. >All of the colors begin to mix and move in one direction, as if blown on by something.

  1192. >And you open your eyes
  1193. >Tears flowing down the sides of your face.
  1194. >Waking to this realization only hurts you more.
  1195. >You ball your hands into fists.
  1196. >You sit up and bang the wall of your cell with the side of a fist.

  1198. >You barely knew her for a few days, but you want her back.

  1200. >You manage to calm yourself and wash your face.
  1201. >Though the fear still sits in the back of your mind

  1203. >You look out the window of the door, and see that the person guarding your door has changed, and that they are sitting, and reading a book next to your cell.
  1204. >You aren't tired, so you decide to make an attempt to speak to them.

  1207. >"What is this place?" you ask
  1208. >He sends a glare at you, but answers.
  1209. >"An underground facility."

  1211. >"None of your business. Go to sleep."

  1213. >You step back and sit on the bed.
  1214. >"Can I get the time?"

  1217. >You hear footsteps.

  1234. >"Lucky you that it's being concluded so quickly."

  1236. >"Don't make any sudden movements, and stay behind me." he firmly says, before walking away

  1246. >There is a man squatting, in a lab coat, beckoning for you to come to him
  1247. >You run up to him, and he pets your head

  1251. >"Ready for the day?"
  1252. >You nod agressively
  1253. >"Even better!"
  1254. >He takes you by your hand, and leads you out of your bedroom
  1255. >His friend always follows both of you
  1256. >His friend never speaks though
  1257. >Papa's hand is so much bigger than yours
  1258. >He says that you're very important
  1259. >And that you're special
  1260. >You look different from papa, and you want to ask why, but you don't know how
  1261. >Doesn't matter though, because you know that papa is papa!
  1262. >Papa and his friend lead you to the "playground"
  1263. >"Go and play for a bit, okay?"
  1264. >He smiles and points to the entrance to the playground
  1265. >You frown, tugging on his coat
  1266. >He nods "I know, you want me to come with, but Papa has to do something important, okay? I'll join you in a few minutes."
  1267. >This makes you smile, and you go into the playground
  1268. >The playground is fun
  1269. >You get to run around, jump on things, and throw stuff around
  1270. >Right as you start getting bored, papa walks in
  1271. >"Okay! whaddya wanna do?'
  1272. >He sends you a toothy grin
  1273. >You get excited and collect some of your favorite things
  1274. >You first give papa the soccer ball
  1275. >"Catch?" he asks, raising an eyebrow
  1276. >You nod, running back a few feet before looking at him
  1277. >He smiles and tosses the ball
  1278. >"Catch!"
  1279. >He throws it across the room
  1280. >You manage to run and catch it.
  1281. >"Nice one! Toss it back, now!"
  1282. >You nod, and toss the ball back to papa
  1283. >He isn't too good at catching.
  1284. >He tries to catch it, but it goes past him and lands on the floor
  1285. >"ahhk.." He complains as he chases it and picks it up
  1286. >You play catch with papa for a while, before he sits down, catching his breath
  1287. >"That was fun, but papa is tired."
  1288. >You nod and go to sit with papa
  1289. >He chuckles and hugs you

  1416. >You make eye contact that you were previously avoiding

  1418. >You continue making eye contact, and he returns it for a moment, before looking at a sheet of paper in front of him
  1419. >"Mr. Anon. You can choose to serve a set amount of prison time for your interloping, or you can serve here until the project is concluded."

  1453. >They tell you that your old clothes will be washed and kept in storage for you.

  1455. >You're then taken through an elevator and brought to a fairly long hallway.
  1456. >they bring you to a door, where Lark has to bring out a keycard and open it

  1497. >"I know.. I shouldn't be here, but They gave me an ultimatum: to serve time elsewhere, or to stay here until the project is over."

  1499. >"Of course I couldn't just leave you alone, Mia. Are you okay?"
  1500. >She stares at you for even longer, before she begins to frown
  1501. >And then tears well in her eyes
  1502. >She takes you up into her arms and hugs you
  1503. >She's sobbing
  1504. >To your human ears its strange, but she's sobbing.
  1505. >"Shhh, shhh... I'm here, Mia."
  1506. >"Ahhnnnn..." She whines, you feel a few of her tears drop onto you
  1507. >You open your arms and hold her
  1508. >"There there... I'm happy to see you too. I thought you were tough, hmm?" You tease, patting her back.
  1509. >She sets you down and wipes away her tears, before reaching to noogie you
  1510. >"Ahh!" you pseudo-complain, holding your head before chuckling
  1511. >She smiles at you
  1512. >You finish explaining what has happened up to this point
  1513. >Mia is both happy and agitated with the fact that you're here.
  1514. >And now, like in all of those movies, you need to plot your escape.

  1516. >Of course you don't plan to sit here for a better part of your life!
  1517. >And you don't plan to abandon Mia, either.
  1518. >There is also the question of "How?"
  1519. >this facility likely has numerous security measures.
  1520. >Though in your mind, you are willing to bet they are to stop Mia.
  1521. >There is likely minimum security for personnel.
  1522. >But you have your priorities.
  1523. >Looking around again, you see that there is a one-way window at the ceiling
  1524. >you spot the cameras, again.

  1526. >Probably how they put Mia under when she was causing problems for them.
  1527. >If you do plan to escape, detail is everything.

  1529. >You spend the rest of the day talking with Mia.
  1530. >When you do get food, Mia’s food looks disgusting.
  1531. >Not even dog food.
  1532. >It’s some kind of slop.
  1533. >You decide to share some of your food with her, at least to coat whatever ungodly taste it has.
  1534. >Though yours isn’t much better.
  1535. >Yours is probably nutrient-focused.
  1536. >Once you are done eating, you go and lay in the bed that Lark previously mentioned.
  1537. >It’s a mattress with a sheet, and two pillows.
  1538. >You have no idea why it’s here, Mia would never fit on this.
  1539. >You’re trying to get comfortable, when Mia taps on your shoulder
  1540. >You turn to look at her “Hm?”
  1541. >She notions towards the hose with the showerhead attached to it
  1542. >It takes you a moment, but you realize she wants you to wash her
  1543. >There’s no soap, but if she wants you to, you’ll do so.
  1544. >”Alright, let’s wash you down.”
  1545. >You get up and walk over, she follows you, her tail wagging a few times.
  1546. >You take the showerhead, and there is a button on it
  1547. >There is a slant to the flooring over in this area. It leads to a drain
  1548. >Mia sits in front of you, with her back to you.
  1549. >You point the showerhead away from you, and press the button.
  1550. >As you expected, this turned it on, and water starts flowing out of it.
  1551. >You feel the water
  1552. >It’s warm, but barely.
  1553. >”You ready?” You ask her
  1554. >She smiles and nods
  1555. >Seeing her smile melts your heart slightly.
  1556. >You proceed to start washing her back
  1557. >Though it’s more like rinsing.
  1558. >Though you do wash dirt off of her
  1559. >Unable to stop your urge, you reach to scratch her back while doing this
  1560. >It helps loosen any dirt on her back, and she seems to absolutely love it
  1561. >So much so you have to take hold of her tail so it stops hitting you
  1562. >You rinse her tail as well, though you decide not to scratch there…
  1563. >Her fur is a lot darker when it’s wet
  1564. >It’s to be expected
  1565. >It goes from red, brown and white to an almost black, dark red, and grey color.
  1566. >She turns her side towards you
  1567. >Your decision just sets in
  1568. >You’re going to wash her stomach and legs, too.
  1569. >You feel a blush setting in, and you struggle to hide it.

  1571. >She looks at you with a questioning look on her face
  1572. >”Can you wash your front and legs by yourself?” You ask, looking away
  1573. >She looks disappointed, but nods
  1574. >You feel bad, but you have some dignity to hold on to.

  1576. >She takes it, and with her hands being bigger than yours, she has some initial problems getting a grip on it.

  1578. >”Just get my attention when you’re done” you say
  1579. >You hear a grunt in response.

  1581. >A few minutes later, you hear another grunt
  1582. >You turn
  1583. >She is holding the showerhead towards you, with it still on.
  1584. >You can also see her entire soaked front
  1585. >Breasts and all
  1586. >Good thing there is a bit of extra fur down below.
  1587. >You approach, blushing.
  1588. >You take the showerhead and turn it off, then set it down
  1589. >You clear your throat.
  1590. >”N-Now, is there any way for you to dry yourself off?”
  1591. >She shakes her head
  1592. >What a pain.
  1593. >She points to the bed
  1594. >"Hm? what is it?"
  1595. >She points to you, and then the bed
  1596. >"You want me to go to sleep?"

  1598. >She probably means 'it's fine if you want to go sleep'.
  1599. >You look into her eyes for a moment
  1600. >"Alright then. I'll see you tomorrow, Mia."
  1601. >She smiles and nods at you, reaching to pat your head with a wet hand

  1603. >Using a pillow to cover your head so the light doesn't bother you
  1604. >It's annoying to do so because you aren't used to sleeping while clothed, but you eventually sleep.

  1648. >With minor assistance, you put your shirt back on and are brought to a room with a TV and a desk. Like ones you would see in high school.

  1651. >Lucky you. All you have to do is watch some training videos this time.
  1652. >You sit there for a few hours. your body begins to feel sore, and your legs are still unstable.

  1654. >soon enough, the video stops, and you're brought a piece of paper and a pencil.

  1656. >Seems almost childish, but you fill it out.
  1657. >you finish, and announce as such.
  1658. >Turns out there is a guard that was ready to pick it up, and he takes it.

  1662. >You lounge in your seat and wait
  1663. >You guess that ten minutes or so pass.

  1667. >You're brought two bottles of water, and a tray of food similar to what you had for dinner yesterday.

  1676. >when the afternoon comes, they take you to a shower room and give you a clean set of clothing.

  1740. >Remembering her, and this fact, seems to relieve you, even if it is by some small amount.

  1782. >A single step at a time, but you know he isn’t going all out.

  1784. >”You’ve found your reason for fighting.” He says this while you’re sparring

  1825. >However, Mia seemed to be roughed up as well.
  1826. >Her dress was off in another side of the room
  1827. >She was attempting to turn on the showerhead so that she could clean herself.

  1829. >”Mia.” You call to her, shocked.

  1831. >Her eyes widen, and her ears fold down.

  1840. >”MIA!” you shout, losing your patience in a mix of fear and agitation
  1841. >This seems to make her jump and she cowers slightly, but using the blood on her hands she writes:

  1843. >It’s sloppy, but you can read it.
  1844. >”Fight? Mia, who did you fight?”
  1845. >She doesn’t do anything for a moment, then writes:

  1847. >Mia then points to herself
  1848. >It takes you a moment
  1849. >Then it hits you

  1852. >”Mia.” You take a deep breath
  1853. >She seems scared about your reaction

  1891. >You have been pushing your body for months, went through grueling punishment and martial arts training by that monk for what you would think was half a year

  1933. >Your eyes widen, and all it takes is one shout:

  1938. >Your voice seemingly booms in the hallways.
  1939. >In a split second, Mia’s fur seems to stand on end.
  1940. >You think you see her muscles ripple beneath her fur
  1941. >And with a single, sudden pull, she snaps the chains of her cuffs.
  1942. >You spin on your feet, and send an overhand right punch into one of the two guards that were accompanying you
  1943. >Your training comes to fruition.
  1944. >The guard is sent back a few feet and falls over
  1945. >You presume he is knocked out.
  1946. >You follow up the second guard with a kick to his side
  1947. >You can feel and hear his ribs break through your kick
  1948. >No time to feel bad.
  1949. >Your blood is freezing.
  1950. >You’re horrified, and excited.
  1951. >Mia has swiftly taken care of the guard detail that were following her.
  1952. >She looks at you expectantly.

  1954. >With no time to waste, you tell her to follow you and break into a full sprint.
  1955. >You already feel free
  1956. >But it’s not enough.
  1957. >You and Mia tear your way through an office room, quickly dispatching other guards that are caught off guard.
  1958. >You hit the elevator button to call the elevator to you, and sprint, looking for a stairwell
  1959. >Mia is following you, but looks a bit confused.

  1961. >A stairwell would be better but you best prepare the elevator just in case

  1964. >You snarl to yourself in agitation

  1966. >You manage to find a stairwell, but the doors seem to have automatically locked

  1980. >What happened next caused you to almost shit yourself
  1981. >Mia began leaping on the inside of the elevator shaft, climbing upwards.

  1983. >The facility goes hundreds of feet deep
