old dream, ca. oct 2014

Last night's dream was kind of really amazing and I'm really sad I only remember snippets and the major details. It also seemed to go on for ages and ages. Like seriously, I swear that was three nights' worth of dreaming put together into one, it seemed to last for like a week not counting timeskips.


I was a girl for some reason, and fully aware that I was not supposed to be a girl. The dream was in a futuristic setting, and everything was anime-looking, and also cat people. ?????
There were these two robot girls that were really close friends with one of my friends (another girl, and someone who not only isn't an actual friend of mine but, afaik, doesn't actually exist). One was color-coded with pink, and the other with blue (though this applied to their "clothing" rather than their actual arms, legs, etc.). The former was the really energetic, outgoing one, and the latter was shy and reserved.
All electronics and computers were linked to one central system, including the two girls and a massive number of other robots. An unknown virus infected the central system and started spreading like wildfire to everything. The pink girl fell prey to the virus, but we managed to sever the blue girl's connection to the system before the virus got to her. All the infected robots started lashing out any anybody nearby, and other electronics and computers just failed to work at all, except for the pink girl. She lashed out at first, but then left for somewhere. Note that she was terrifyingly powerful for some reason. Smacked me and the blue girl around a good bit, missed my friend. My friend, the blue girl, and I all followed her, along with a Pikachu belonging to my friend. She went to a completely different planet, which wasn't out of the ordinary, but it was to a planet we didn't recognize.

The planet turned out to be a Space Pirate base (yes, those Space Pirates, and yes, now that I think about it, this dream shares many similarities with Metroid Prime 3's plot), which we had to infiltrate. The problem was that even though there were 4 of us, we were far less equipped to deal with them than Samus is: Pikachu is Pikachu; the robot girl had light firearms and respectable strength, as well as being quite durable; my friend had claws and a rifle; and I had claws and a sharp blade affixed to the tip of my tail. There was a timeskip, after which we were near the top of a very large, tall tower, dealing with enemies through a curving hallway; everybody was beat up pretty badly, especially the blue girl, who we'd had to stop for repairs for a few times up, due to her role as the "meat" shield keeping the rest of us alive.

We reached the top of the tower, where there was... I dunno, a commander or something. He was a very old man attached to some kind of machine, and he had gravity manipulation powers. He wasn't aware of his surroundings very much, as we were able to walk right up to him. We all lashed out with our strongest attack at the same time, but we didn't even seem to leave a mark. At that point, everything started getting really, really heavy, and it looked like everything was being squeezed into a ball. The pink girl lashed out out of nowhere and opened fire. We ended up collapsing before long. Everything kept getting tighter, and the pink girl laughed at some point. Then, without warning, the process began to slowly reverse. Turned out, backup had arrived. A few soldiers and cured robots, all of which had similar gravity powers, had arrived and were reversing the effects, though it took all of their efforts just to slowly decompress the commander's gravity field.

With them holding the commander at bay, we engaged the pink girl in one last fight. I don't remember the fight very well, but I know how it ended. A gigantic burst of electricity (apparently the blue girl picked up something along the way, and had just figured out how it worked, plus Pikachu helped) erupted from the ground under the pink girl, lifting her into the air with a slight dissolving effect on bits of her. When the blast ended and the smoke cleared, she was laying on the ground, smoking. At that point, I heard this music* from PMD2 playing. We approached her - I was limping pretty badly and the blue girl was missing part of her left arm... and then my mom woke me up. >:c
