  1. [02:22] Stopping at the fields, the boy looked over to the West and his eyes would linger upon the sleek black form that stood there. Falling silent for a second, the boy made his way closer to the Demon.
  2.
  3. "Erm...by chance...Are you..Ra'Kamel?" he questioned. His appearance certainly matched the description that Coraline and Zariel gave him --but one could never be too sure, right?
  4. (Adriel Isolet)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [02:30] A blank stare was given as the creature watched its Kin fail miserably against the stronger magi. Victory didn't come easily for any of its kind and although mortals believed them to be gods it did take a while before such power to awaken even in Demons.
  8.
  9. As the creature crossed its arms and expressed its displeasure for the whole ordeal it would eventually think about it self. It had been struggling for so many years to refine its magical power and had done little to do that in fact. It was time the demon took a different direction. One that would better play to its advantages instead of its disadvantages.
  10.
  11. After all it was a master of the Demonic magic that it had obtained there was no longer any need for it to learn how to combine it with anti magic...Thus the demon would decide here and now it would pursue a different path one perhaps more rigorous but in the end it would lead it to the desired goal. Ultimate power and knowledge.
  12.
  13. Ra stood contemplating itsexistence as all creatures do its metallic body oozing an unsettling sensation that seemed to manifest when the demon was thinking to itself. As it was disrupted its eyes swiveled back into its head and like dead bolts it stared towards the voice that called to it. With little intention the demon adjusted its gaze again." I am. Who are you? " The metallic tones of the Kaor demon echoed like the grinding of steel beams crashing against each other. With each breath a breeze of Demonic magic dripped into its form. It was in every way an intimidating and overbearing presence to be around even without it emitting a hostile energy.
  14. (Ra'Kamel)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16. 02:35] Though the boy had been around many Demons in his short lifespan --there was something that was nearly suffocating about this one here; but Adriel progressed nonetheless. Taking a second to steel his nerves, he'd bite into his lower lip before looking up to the hulking figure.
  17.
  18. "My name is Adriel Isolet --and I was told to seek you out by Coraline and her friend, Zariel. I went to her with a problem, being unable to control and channel my occultic energies properly, and after a moment of thought, she told me about you. I've sought you out up on Obsidia, but I must've missed whenever you were there...so here I am now."
  19.
  20. Even as he spoke, an occultic essence spilled over from his form, accelerating the time in which it took for the grass beneath his feet to wilt until the plant life surrounding him was withered and shriveled up, its life force completely drained.
  21.
  22. "..And I come with that same request --to learn from you..if you'd have me anyway."
  23. (Adriel Isolet)
  24. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25. [02:48] An interesting request...How many years since the demons creation had it been pestered by the mortals to -teach- them this and to -help- them with that. In truth the demon was rather well adjusted in its own power and Although Zariel and Coraline recommended the youth filled occultist to the demon it was uncertain if the boy knew what they were getting into precisely.
  26.
  27. " I do not teach control of the occult. Nor do I have any stalk in such imitations."A deep growling of mechanical grinding before a final exhaust of black smoke filled with occultism spewed from the creatures nostrils as it laced the ground filled with its dark power." That being said I am a master of Demonic magic. A completely differing variation of the Occultism you mortals claim to possess. Those few mortals who undergo the transformation into Accursed are able to wield and yet...you strike me as neither. You'vetied yourself to no Archon nor have you the will to use such magics uninhibitedly. " The demons claw moved up raised towards its own torso.
  28.
  29. " I had believed in controlling and limiting my own magic while also reducing the magic of those around me for some time. Although I have awakened Zariel it is possible to do the same for you. But..I will not work with those who have a weakened resolve. Or unaligned with Obsidia. If you promise your existence to me I will allow you to accompany me on my journey to draw forth the true knowledge that comes to bare with Demonic magics." No less and no more. The demon had its plans and for too long it had restrained itself from finding its true power. No longer. If any were to follow it they had better be ready for what was to come. Death Destruction and perhaps even the slow suffering of many.
  30. (Ra'Kamel)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [02:58] The boy found it difficult to remain standing still and completely calm in the creature's presence honestly. The sheer occultism that it gave off was indeed different from the other elemental Demons and even some Kaors he's been around --that much was true. Still though, to finally be speaking to the one whom he needed to find...he needed to be strong --even if it was only this one time.
  34.
  35. Initially, he thought that Ra was turning him down, but as we spoke on about the subject, Adriel would find out his true intentions. When he was finished speaking, the boy was silent for a moment, but after a second or two, he found what he wanted to say.
  36.
  37. "If that's what it takes, then I'm more than ready to join you on your journey." he began, looking up to the creature. "I'm no..'Accursed', nor have I tied myself to an Archon, but my resolve is strong and my will is even stronger! I've spent years looking for someone like you, and I'm not about to let myself lose an opportunity over something so small. If you require me to be aligned with Obsidia, then so be it!" Though he was born and raised in Dawn, he saw the small volcanic town as an extension of it in a way, so helping them was not an issue in the slightest.
  38.
  39. He then reached up for his staff and bore a playful smirk.
  40. "Ah...but there's more --for you to be my new master, you have to prove yourself in one on one combat!" The child was kidding, obviously, just to see if the Demon had a sense of humor, though if it didn't, things could get rather interesting.
  41. (Adriel Isolet)
  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [03:11] The creature often spoke with a cadence that seemed to belittle mortals yet in moments it did find mortals to be a useful resource. Their resilience to master such dangerous arts despite the effects it bares upon the world were always so interesting. Beings like Ra'Kamel and its Kin had no choose but to delve deeper and to neglect the world they were birthed into. Yet as for mortals? They often choose to relinquish control or to stand up for their own beliefs.
  45. " Good, If you desire is truly to understand the source of Demonic magic then I can show you that. Until then however you'll have to manage with your lesser variation until you are marked by an Archon with great Demonic power. If that is the path you truly wish to tread upon I can assure you one thing. You will be powerful in the end." A slight scraping sound came from the demons feet as it shifted its position turning its back to the boy.
  46.
  47. " If you wish to test me in battle your more than welcome to. However if you're going to learn the truth behind Demonic magic you must understand its basics. Occultist like yourself who have merely stumbled upon such power are generally ignorant of these details." The demon began to move its body like a massive hunk of metal scraped and clanked like an enormous suit of armor.
  48.
  49. "Come to the fields I will enlighten you on the arbitrary mistakes you mortals make when invoking the 'Occult' and what holds you back from truly understanding its power." the demon gestured to the boy as it walked southwards to the open field it seemed the demon had agreed in the very least to show the boy this much.
  50. (Ra'Kamel)
  51. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  52.
  53. [03:16] "As my father used to say...patience is a virtue, right?" he'd respond with a small chuckle. "Waiting isn't an issue, as long as I can become stronger and finally be able to have my magic under my own control."
  54.
  55. The two moved to the South, where surprisingly, Ra'Kamel agreed to fight with him. Truth be told, he knew that he had no hopes of ever out-classing the Demon in one on one combat --but a part of him was curious as to how powerful the being really was, and why those two pointed him in its direction.
  56.
  57. Once they arrived, a purple mist laced with occultic energies surrounded the boy and almost immediately the plantlife and even small insects around him were killed, their lifespans reaching an accelerated end.
  58.
  59. "I -am- curious to see just how strong this Demonic magic is though...so hopefully this turns out to be a great lesson in that regard."
  60.
  61. He was ready.
  62. (Adriel Isolet)
  63. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. [03:29] As the two stared forth on either end of the battle field the Ra'Kamel would take a stance. Drawing forth occultic energies the demon shrouded itself in an Demonic Aura that harassed the very nature that surrounded it. As the two began to clash it seemed the boy had mastered a higher level of occultic magic. Generating blades of water doused in occultic magic.
  66.
  67. As they came closer Ra'Kamel would stand still doing nothing and allowing for the magics to bash against its body. A combination occult magic? It seemed the boy was rather gifted if he was able to do so much at such a young age. As the demon took the brunt of the child's attack it would roar towards the boy in anger."WRONG! ALL WRONG." As the demons voice echoed across the plains so too did its magic power.
  68.
  69. Spiking to a dangerously high level. As the creature began to speak spheres of shadows began to manifest near the creatures body. First a few then hundreds began to form. And without any warning they all began to give chase to the boy gravitational power increasing the density of the shadow spheres making them lethal in every sense.
  70.
  71. " You draw upon nothing to manifest your magics. Use your hatred. use your anger. draw upon that which offends you the most and use that as your weapon. Demonic...and occultic magic are empowered by a simple manifesto. It is why their is such a separation between the two magics." The spheres continued to chase the boy as he ran blasting him with occultic energy and brutalizing his body until the demon saw he had enough.
  72.
  73. " You must always be hostile, Always willing to kill or harm whomever you are in combat with. Your power manifests itself wildly because you are allowing your mortal emotions to block out your true power. Find it or die now. " Its fist charged with Demonic aura moved closer towards the boy and with one powerful swing an eruption of deadly magic filled the area blasting the boy away from the demon. Perhaps rattled but generally okay."We demons differ from you occultist do to this fact. We aim to kill and destroy everything we see as a threat during combat. There are no half measures. No chance at reconciliation. We are beings that destroy our foes bodies one step at a time. That is Demonic magic. Magic forged for the purpose of Killing of all of creation"
  74. (Ra'Kamel)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [03:36] With their first encounter over, Adriel found himself on the ground, his body shaken by the Demon's various attacks. Without a doubt, he was the strongest opponent he's fought thus far --and that's saying something.
  78.
  79. Had it not been for the magic surrounding his form allowing him to have some precognition and giving him the clarity to avoid some of Ra'Kamel's attacks, he would've been in even worse conditions he felt. He felt his senses coming back to him now...and he'd rise to his feet slowly. The Isolet was gasping for air as the miasma that shrouded him worked on reversing some of the damage done.
  80.
  81. "Ack.."
  82.
  83.
  84.
  85. Shaking his head a few times, his eyes now focused on the Demon again, a little shine to their usual red color. The aura around him grew thicker now, and he glared towards the thing. If he wanted him to go all out --then he'd get it!
  86.
  87. Without another word, blades of water hardened with dark magic swirled around the teen as he dashed in!
  88.
  89. "Hrrraaaah!"
  90. (Adriel Isolet)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [03:50] Multiple more attacks formed from the demon as it invoked hideous forms of magic that aimed to harass and brutalize the boy. Distorting gravity to make his chances of escape nearly impossible and with a final flick of its wrist a blade of darkness erupted from the creature crashing into the boy sending him barreling into the dirt.
  94.
  95. The demon slowing its magic down to a lesser amount for the moment. Allowing for its rage to settle as its eyes peered upon the beaten and broken child." Hm. You have some talent for the occult. But talent means nothing if you aren't willing to sacrifice for it. Demonic magic requires sacrifice of the most visceral parts of you. Your humanity, your morality. All must be exchanged for power. If that is the path you desire then continue to walk at my side knowing that in the end you'll become a horrific monster, Like myself and others who reside in Obsidia. An emotionless killing machine bent on claiming what has been stolen from us. If you wish to lead such an existence then prepare yourself." Another test of faith from the demon It would have no second chances or misguided thoughts or solutions. It would bind those who wanted to learn the truth of occultism to itself and from that dig deeper into what hides beneath the shadows.
  96.
  97. "I have barely yet discovered my true potential. To take on a child who does not wish to kill. Or is not yet prepared to have their innocents discarded means my time is wasted. So choose now and for ever be resolved in your choice. I am sure there are plentiful of human magi capable of teaching you the weaker mortal imitation of Demonic magic." A cold stare and harsher and harsher words. Ra'Kamel had never truly taken on an apprentice or any such person who wasn't already without power. Even so there was some talent in the boy. If he committed himself and discarded his humanity here and now there was perhaps a chance a truly malefic being could be birthed.
  98.
  99.
  100. (Ra'Kamel)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102.
  103. [03:58] Again, he was sent tumbling towards the ground, but this time he'd remain there, his body too injured to just get right back up. He was still conscious, though, and he listened to what the Demon had to say.
  104.
  105. And what he heard was truly frightening to say the least. He'd have to give up his humanity, the thing that set him apart from the fellow monsters that resided up at the volcano; in the end, would it all be worth it? Well, the Huangese took his parents away from him --and as he is now, he is -far- too weak to do anything about it.
  106.
  107. As he began to get lost in his own thoughts, Ra'Kamel's words reeled him in quickly, and he was about to lose his one and only chance. After coming so far along, would all truly be lost in this moment?
  108.
  109. The teen struggled to his feet, the aura around him somehow growing even bigger as he regained a significant portion of his mana back.
  110. "Don't...underestimate me..!" he exclaimed, now making eye contact with the creature. "All my life I've been killing things...unwillingly --but if I have to consciously make that decision --that choice; then I will...I'll change, and I'll start with you!"
  111.
  112. Oh? A twist?
  113.
  114. Seems slipping on the verge of being unconscious had caused the boy to slip into a bit a occultic rage, and now he dashed towards the Demon, orbs of time magic surrounding his form as he threatened to rot the Demon's flesh with his power.
  115.
  116. "Die!"
  117. (Adriel Isolet)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [04:08] How easy mortals were to fall into their emotions so easily persuaded to self destruct. With the additive corruption imposed by occult magic they were even more so volatile to themselves than to anyone else. As the boy rushed him he would be met by a waterfall of gravity magic suppressing any chance of him moving a single inch.
  121.
  122. The weight of his body increased so massively the ground below was beginning to crack and crumble as the distortion rained down on him. As the demon watched the human writhe in pain its attention was brought to just how zealous the boy could be. Perhaps there was still a chance. Although if in the end it turned out he wasn't capable of it Ra'Kamel decided it would eat him instead.
  123.
  124. " Keh, If you are prepared to sacrifice then show me it. you think you are able to kill me? Try as many times as you like I'll always crush you. But at the very least you understand now. There can be no more hesitation. No more 'accidents' if you want to channel this power you must do so each time with the intention to destroy all creation like it was intended for." As the weight was lifted off the boys shoulders the creature would stand idly watching him.
  125.
  126. " Perhaps you will become a monster on par with Coraline and Zariel. Or perhaps you'll make a good test subject for the magics I wish to master. Either way I will find a use for you. Welcome to Obsidia." A slight glance in the direction of the Archon as it passed by but its attention held firm on the boy still wondering if he was in truth trying to kill him. After all. Threats were taken seriously all the time.
  127. (Ra'Kamel)
  128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  129.
  130. [04:16] Adriel was held in place by a strong force of gravity magic --so strong in fact that it began to crack the ground beneath him. His one saving grace was the shroud of time magic that always clung to his being, repairing the cracked floors as the gravity crushed it and stopping him from sinking into the ground; though, the pain was still overbearing.
  131.
  132. He was forced to stand still and listen to what Ra'Kamel had to say, and the very fact that he couldn't move forced him to calm down a little --at least to the point where he could control the corruption eating away at his mind.
  133.
  134. Then, he was released, and now he just stood in spot, falling to his knees but still conscious. His eyes were on the floor and he was panting for breath, but in the end when he was 'welcomed', his head shot straight up and he looked the Demon in the eye.
  135.
  136. "Th-Thank you..." he replied gratefully, though his body was in too much pain for him to stand up at the moment, yet alone to continue speaking much.
  137.
  138. "I'll work on my emotions...and I'll ensure that there are no more accidents...From now on, every action will be with a purpose, and holding back...is a thing of the past.."
  139. (Adriel Isolet)
  140. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  141.
  142. [04:18] Ra'Kamel says, "Hrm good. There will be more lessons to come be prepared for them. If any bother you feel free to explain to them you are my apprentice for the time being."
  143. [04:19] Adriel Isolet says, "M-Mmm..Understood."
  144. [04:20] {Item} You picked up Orchilacum. Dropped by Adriel Isolet. .
  145. [04:21] Ra'Kamel says, "Practice on your emotions Adriel. Mortals of your life span often are irrational and weak minded. Do what you must to control that. "
  146. [04:22] Adriel Isolet says, "Mm, work on controlling my emotions...and learn to kill or maim with control..."
  147. [04:22] Adriel Isolet says, "I'll work on those for the next time we meet."
  148. [04:23] Ra'Kamel says, "Good. I'll be awaiting your progress and our next session then."
  149. [04:24] Adriel Isolet says, "Mmhm! Safe travels."
  150. [04:24] Ra'Kamel says, "Farewell."
  151. [12:58]
