How well do you know the source material?:
I have watched Knights of the Zodiac, Lost Canvas, Omega, and Knights of the Zodiac (Remake) which is terrible. I have played and beaten the game even with it being terribly balanced. I say all this to say I love Saint Seiya, I think the anime deserves more hype. I think it deserves a better newer anime adaptation that isn't on Netflix or a new series. Something like Omega, but set in the future. Well, to say I do know the source material.

Reasoning:
Annoyingly, thrown out of the rebirth world the soul of Kaminaga had tried to grab some ancient holy artifact. Higher powers caught the mischievous spirit before it could fully grasp the object. Fingertips touching a staff and sending a spark through the soul. The soul was flung into a body before fully realizing what it had done or even seen. The body would slightly recall the big bang in the dreams and a voice explaining that everything is made of the same atoms. The beginning of everything being the big bang, the true power one had inside themselves. One had to harness that power and burn their cosmos.

The Oni was born with thoughts of space and feeling empty, a vastness like he was always empty. It felt like a piece of himself was turned off or just completely missing. He felt as if he would never reach the potential stated by that voice, It had not come to him for the days that he had been alone trying to figure himself out.

Kaminaga would have met with the leader, Fujin, to tell her that he would not be fully combative.  He had not found that power within himself, explanation of his powers and what they worked like. Fujin would only tell the male to put his fist ups, they begin to spar, placing some resolve in his mind. A voice rang out in his head to burn his cosmo, but he did not understand that. Kaminaga would go back to resorting to his old ways of studying his compatriots to learn.

Reaching once more for that golden staff, meditating would shoot him back in that empty darkness. His mind would go over flashes of what happened to the soul. His power shot up, the voice told him to burn his cosmo! Feel the energy in everything, align your soul, body, and mind and create a big bang in your soul. Hit with the power of a meteor, it made Kaminaga's heart race, and the rapid images flashing through his mind. It only forced his body to come out as his heart started racing, his body causing his mind to break the spirit free from the lifeless universe. His mind, body, and spirit were not yet ready to work in unison.

The days went quiet as that voice went quiet, the days were silent, but a small white-haired male would come to address him. Mimoto was the name of the boy and Kaminaga would take the boy under his wing for a moment. They would have a quick conversation. Kaminaga would unlock the mind of the boy informing him of the power of Cosmo. The words of Kaminaga would be the following, "The power we want to use... is akin to...a big bang. In the creation of a universe, our bodies are that blank slate. Nothing in it and we have to somehow activate it. We have to find a way to explode our blank slate and summon our power." This gave the boy new resolve and understanding. This allowed Kaminaga to gain some favor and push past this to another chance meeting.

Stepping in would be a water dragon, Meridia, a like-minded person who would do their best to push Kaminaga. The dragon would train Kaminaga, just as hard as Kaminaga would train the dragon. They both pushed themselves to the limit and Kaminaga would find his body finally keeping up with his mind and spirit. His souls would burst a little and a spark would be ignited in the blank slate of his soul. His cosmo at the point where it was ready to burst and summon forth his true spirit, aligning his spirit, mind, and body like the constellations in the night sky. This awakens the true power of the sun, the mascot of the Sun's village, the Phoenix.
