- How Do You Think You Can Benefit Meep:
- I believe there are a number of ways that I could benefit Meep, which I will list here:
- I am extremely active. Admittedly, I don’t partake in a lot of real life activities, so I have a lot of time to dedicate to Meep, but most of the time I am online, there aren’t many staff online, and I see rule breakers who I simply cannot gather evidence to report them with, and it is frustrating having no staff online. I feel as if I could massively help with this issue, and hopefully, make players less frustrated.
- I am mature and professional. Admittedly, I do get angry and make mistakes sometimes, but I know when to keep calm, especially in a role such as a helper. Although I am a fairly mature person, I am not a robot. I like to have fun and interact with the community while still keeping a mature and professional attitude I try my best to be patient and see what the problem is without acting rude or unprofessional. For example, If someone is provoking someone in chat, I will try my best to calm them down, and contact staff if needed. I feel if I was helper I could do this a lot better as people don’t normally listen to players who aren’t staff, but will listen and follow rules if a staff member is present. Arguments are on of the biggest problems on Meep and I feel as if I am very good at handling similar situations.
- I am a very trustworthy, dependable and level-headed person. I am willing to give my help and support whenever I possibly can. Being dependable is a vital part of being a good staff member because if players are having problems in game, I feel that being dependable would make such players much happier. I also work extremely well in high-pressure situations, such as the vastly growing community that is Meep. I’m also a very dedicated player. If someone told me I was doing something wrong, or that I wasn’t doing enough, I would do anything possible to change that.
- In the short time that I have been staff on Minecraft servers as well as other games, I have learnt how players like to be treated as equal members of the community, regardless of their rank or reputation. I have also learnt that players particularly dislike biased staff. In the even smaller time period in which I was a developer, I learnt a lot about plugins, as I was in charge of adding every plugin, as well as configuring them all. I also configured the server’s website, so I know most, if not all, of the features of XenForo forums.
- After working with minecraft servers for the best part of 2 years, I know the ins and outs of nearly every single plugin, and even the punishment system (rules and commands). I am close friends with one or two staff members, and I learn a lot just by spending time with them. I also know the unwritten rules as such and am very familiar with the layout of both Meep forums and in-game.
- How Would You React If You Were Put Into A Situation Which You Did Not Understand:
- Well I’d like to think that a situation that I did not understand would not arise, but there will obviously be times that these situations do happen. I would like to handel in in a calm and mature manner by first asking a more experienced staff member than myself, if one is available. If one was not available , I would have a long hard think about what to do, and if I could not think of a solution I would simply ask them to ask a more experienced member than myself when one becomes available, or I would simple ask them to wait until I can get in contact with another staff member.
- What Would You Do If A Player Was Hacking (Answer As If You Were A Helper):
- In my past staff roles I have came across this situation many times. If I was not 100% sure that the player was hacking, I would simply run OBS and begin to record the player. If the player continued to be fishy during the recording, I would ask them if they could screenshare for me. If they refused the screenshare I would ban them for the appropriate length of time. It’s important to have 100% proof when banning a hacker, but if the suspected hacker cannot prove to the staff member that they are playing legit, then they must be removed from the server.
- Why Do You Want The Rank Helper On Meep:
- There are multiple reasons that I would like to be a helper on Meep. I feel like even though it is one of the smallest communities I have experienced on a faction server I have not staffed, It was one of the most friendly. I feel like I should give back to the community by ridding the server of rule-breakers, as they ruin the fun for everybody.
- Have You Had Any Previous Staff Experience:
- My moderating experience is completely within Minecraft, I have moderated in other games, but similar roles and responsibilities. My moderating experience started quite a number of years ago, approximately 1 or 2 years ago on a game called MCFactions. A good friend of mine made a server on this game, and after applying for Moderator I got accepted. This server averaged 20-30 people a day, and there were about 1-2 moderators online a day. Eventually, I got bored of the game and decided to resign as a moderator.
- After resigning as a moderator there, I decided to purchase Minecraft. Up until about two years ago,I had no experience in moderating Minecraft servers, until a friend of mine offered me as a position as a developer in his factions server.
- After a year in development, the server launched, and I had the job of fixing any bugs/glitches as players started to play. This server averaged around 15 people per day before the user count dropped to around 3 per day. Money then became an issue and the server had to be closed.
- After that ,I wanted to find a new server to play. I came across a hub server, with around 20 people online per day. I applied for helper and got a lot of positive feedback on my application, so I was accepted. I made my way up through the ranks up past management and into the development team. The same thing happened with the server I had helped create, and the user count slowly went down until we would be lucky to get 5 people online at a time.
- Although it may not be much, I do have experience moderating servers.
- If You Were Accepted Onto The Meep Staff Team What Would You Main Goal Be:
- I would really have two main goals. The first goal would to keep the server clean of rule-breakers, and my second goal would be to make a lot more friends in the community, and on the staff team.
- Have You Had Any Trouble With Plagiarism & Bans On Past Servers:
- Lucky I have not had any problems with Plagiarism, but I have one ban on a server I used to play due to having an argument with the manager a while back.
- Explain Some Cases In Which You Would Punish A Player (Important Question):
- There are a number of reasons that a player should be punished for. Some of these include Spamming, Caps, Death Threats, DDos and Dox threats, Hacking and Tp Glitching. There is also a lot more cases in which a player should be punished, but I’ve listed a good few. I would punish these as the rules state in the rule thread.
- Anything You Would Like To Add:
- Nope
