NWSU EPS VI: Return of the Ben-Ji

Alexithymiaa: -Bryan sat in a booth by himself, his laptop open in front of him and a plate with a large wedge of chocolate pie beside it. He stabbed his fork into the pie, bringing it up to his lips and not taking his eyes off his computer screen. Dropping the fork down onto the plate, he moved his hands to the keyboard of the computer, beginning to type away furiously.-
Artificer: Ben pulled up to the cafe, taking the final drag of the roach he held between his fingers. He turned the key, killing the engine before flicking the butt out the widow. He climbed out of the car and headed into the diner. As he stood in front of the counter, Ben did a quick half assed scan of the room, not spotting any red alerts. "Can I get a BLT and some fries. Oh and some lemonade." He said as he gave the waitress some cash. He walked away before she could give him his change, he grabbed the first empty stall he could find.
Tsaaq: Hayley rode her bike to the depot cafe. She locked it on a light post with a burdened sigh leaving her lips. She practically dragged her feet, the walk from the sidewalk to the front of the diner feeling like forever until she pushed the door open and pulled out her crumbled up monies. "I just want a black coffee." Hayley said in a monotone before turning her head to see who'd been around, seeing the back of Ben's cranium. "Fuck." She whispered before seeing Bryan as well. "Ugh, double fuck." Hayley grabbed her change and walked over to Ben's booth. "Hey..."
Alexithymiaa: -Hearing Hayley's voice, Bryan lifted his head from his computer, eyeing her walking to the dark haired male at the booth on the other side from him, listening in because she was Peanut.-
Tsaaq: ((Stop.))
Artificer: Ben glanced up seeing Hayley standing in front of him. "Oh, hey there gorgeous. Long time no see stranger." He said with a smirk, looking her over. "Are you okay?" He asked looking a bit concerned at her very unchipper manner.
Tsaaq: Hayley looked around, glancing at Bryan over her shoulder and furrowed her eyebrows and looked at Ben once more. "Yeah..."She whispered to him and went to sit in the booth. "Yes, I'm perfectly fine and nothing is wrong and my life has been going like, SO great." Hayley answered him before clearing her throat. "How are you?" She asked.
Alexithymiaa: -Bryan scoffed when he heard their exchange, hardly knowing the shit going on with either of them, but knowing it was a bullshit lie because Hayley is the worst liar on the face of the planet. He dropped his eyes back to his computer, masking the fact that he was just straight up listening.-
Artificer: Ben leaned in, watching hayley as she spoke. "Im good now that im talking to you. I missed you, you kinda just vanished there for a bit." He said, glancing over at Bryan trying to place where he knew him from.
Tsaaq: She sighed and covered her face. "Will you stop it?" Hayley sighed and covered her face with her hands. "I've just needed to be alone..." She whispered before looking back at Bryan. "Why are you giving him sex eyes? It's just Bryan." Hayley scoffed.
Alexithymiaa: -Bryan smirked at Hayley's words, not hiding at all that he was listening because that shit was funny. He shifted his elbow to prop up next to his computer, dropping his head behind his hand to hide it, but not really because he didnt care.-
Artificer: Ben smirked and looked back at Hayley. "Jealous Im not giving you sex eyes?" He teased nudging her foot with his own, under the table. "He just seemed familiar." Ben said in a hushed whisper leaning in a bit more, holding his head up on his hands,  on the table.
Tsaaq: She leaned her elbows on the table and kept her head in her hands. ""No, I'm not. I have a boyfriend remember?" Hayley said, sounding like she was going to cry. "What's familiar? He's a pain in everyone's ass. But it's whatever, he's literally the last thing on my mind."
Alexithymiaa: -He sighed, grabbing for his fork again to stab at the pie, shoving a mouthful up to his face to chew obnoxiously. He quickly chimed in, raising his voice so they could hear him. "Thanks, Peanut!"-
Artificer: Ben chuckled lightly shaking his head. "I think he heard you." Ben shrugged, looking over at him. "Is that why you vanished?" Ben asked before leaning in and whispering so Bryan couldnt hear. "You started to feel guilty about coming over all the time?" He asked glancing over to make sure Bryan wasnt still listening.
Tsaaq: "We can't talk about this here." Hayley whispered back. "I 'vanished' because everyone is better off without me... And I'm tired of hurting everyone so the only way to stop that is to be by myself." She murmured and rolled her eyes at Bryan before shooting him a glare. "Whatever, he's fucking nosy."
Alexithymiaa: -He looked at them with a smirk before returning his attention to his computer, shoving more pie into his face.-
Artificer: "Im not better of without you." Ben whispered quickly before he sat back. "How was your Christmas?" He asked, speaking normally now. He glanced back at the kitchen, seeing the waitress getting his plate together.
Tsaaq: Hayley shrugged. "It was weird... My brother was nice to me. Up until now I was pretty sure he hated me." She answered weakly. "You are better off without me Ben, stop. I'm only still here because-" Hayley stopped herself. "Listen. I was just really close to leaving Portland but I felt bad and decided to stay..."
Tsaaq: ((Kelseeey.))
Alexithymiaa: -Bryan rolled his eyes at the sound of their voices, his jaw tensing because he couldnt control his annoyance over shit that was not his fucking business and didn't affect him at all.-
Tsaaq: ((Nosy ass.))
Artificer: Ben's smile faded as he listened to her speak. "Oh, I'm sorry." He said watching her intently. The waitress came and placed his plate and drink in front of him. He munched a fry, still watching her. "Well I am happy you stayed, believe it or not, I would be really sad if you left."
Tsaaq: "A lot of shit has been going on with me, I don't know..." Hayley muttered and bit her lip. "I can't keep talking about this cause all it does is annoy everyone anyways. Sooo." She trailed off and looked around irritably. "Where's my coffee?" Hayley whined and slouched in her seat.
Alexithymiaa: -Bryan pushed his laptop closed when he'd heard enough of their shit, getting irritated even further and shoveling the remaining pie into his mouth because he wasn't going to waste a single crumb. He pushed up from the table, grabbing his laptop to tuck underneath his arm, turning to face Hayley and Ben in their booth. "So fucking stupid."-
Covet: -Kelsey came out from the back, making her way behind the counter to get her coat, having just clocked out for the night. She grabbed a banana nut muffin and made her way back around the counter seeing Bryan talking to Hayley and Ben. She made her way up to him, hopping next to him- Hey Bryan, Hayley, Ben. -she smiled at them then turned to Bryan.- Steph told me you loved the song she did up for you.
Artificer: Ben pushed his plate forward, offering her his fries. He grabbed half the sandwhich and took a bite, ripping a chunk off. "you can talk to me Hayley. You wot annoy me." He said, unwilling to drop the subject. He glance over at Kelsey as she walked over before looking back to Hayley.
Tsaaq: She shook her head. "I'm not hungry." Hayley said quietly and crossed her arms over her chest, before hearing Bryan she slouched in her seat saying nothing and not really getting his context but still taking it hard none the less. "No, it's okay." Hayley whispered and gave Kelsey and lethargic wave.
Alexithymiaa: -Bryan dropped his eyes down to look at Kelsey, trying to shrug her off. "Oh... yeah. It's a good song. She said you helped, so thanks I guess."-
Covet: She said you totally had to walk away to have a "man moment" -she smirked at him, looking back at Hayley and Ben, catching the more somber mood- I'm sorry did I interupt something? -she asked, genuinely concerned-
Artificer: "Hey Kelsey." Ben said with  smile, waving her way. "No everythings alright, Hayley just doesnt want to get cooties from me." Ben said as he pulled the plate back to his side. He glanced back at Hayley, munching his sandwhich.
Tsaaq: "You're not interrupting..." She told Kelsey and sighed a bit. She shrugged her shoulders and tried to slip out of the booth. "I should probably get going." Hayley whispered.
Alexithymiaa: -He moved his free hand to Kelsey's shoulder, giving her a gentle shove. "Shut up, I did not. Quit talking to Steph. She just says shit to annoy me on purpose." He stepped back to free up space for Hayley to slide out, glancing toward the door. "I was actually on my way out too. Need to let the fuckin' dog out."-
Artificer: Ben reached out, grabbing Hayley's hand gently. "Text me okay?" He said giving her hand a squeeze. He took a sip of his lemonade, clearing his throat.
Tsaaq: ((You skipped Kiki, Lucas >:o ))

Covet: -She gave Ben another wave- Hello Ben, long time no see. -Kelsey stumbled back a bit.- Um yeah, You do the same thing to the rest of us. But Sorry, I love her more than you, so I'm still going to talk to her -she shrugged and gave him a wave- Have a good night. -she looked back at Hayley- You don't have to, I was also on my way out. I'm going to be at the studio tomorrow, I just wanted to let you know, if you were free as well. -she smiled at her-
Tsaaq: Hayley wanted to sit back down when hearing Bryan was leaving too. "Well, I should probably wait for my coffee a little longer or something." She flinched a bit and gently pulled her hand away from his. "Yeah. I will, probably." Hayley told him before clearing her throat and looking to Kelsey. "Uh, I don't know. I guess I could drop by... I probably shouldn't leave Tony alone." She whispered.
Alexithymiaa: "Uhuh...." He narrowed his eyes on Kelsey, lifting his hand again to rustle the top of her hair. "Yeah. Later." He moved passed the group to head to the door, pulling it open and stepping outside to make his way to his car.-
Covet: That would be awesome.-Kelsey tipped her head to the side and brushed her hair back into place from his ruffling, with a huff- What was that? -she asked hearing, not hearing what she'd whispered.
Covet: [I guess it's my turn to skip Lucas XD]
Artificer: Ben continued eating his sandwhich, scarfing it down like he was starving. "I got you a present by the way Hayley, wasnt sure if i would see you before christmas." Ben trailed off biting a french fry in half.
Tsaaq: She cleared her throat and crossed her hands over her chest. "I said I should probably shouldn't leave Tony alone. He's still pretty hurt from the accident." Hayley spoke a little louder then turned to Ben. "Oh god, you didn't have to get me anything."
Covet: -Kelsey frowned- Oh no, I didn't even know he was in an accident. Is he going to be okay? -she asked.-
Artificer: Ben smirked and shook his head. "I wanted to." He said before listening in on what they were saying. "Is he okay?" Ben asked, trying to sound like he cared
Tsaaq: ((This fuck.))

Tsaaq: "He got shot..." She answered apprehensively. "He'll be fine but I'd really hate him to think I'm just abandoning him." Hayley said awkwardly to Ben and frowned, lowering her head. "Ben really. You didn't have to get me anything."
Covet: Oh my goodness! Who did he get shot by? That's so crazy. -she said with a shocked look on her face-
Artificer: Ben went wide eyed hearing Hayley. "Woah what? What the hell happened?" Ben asked, actually caring now. He dropped his sandwhich, wipig his face with a napkin.
Tsaaq: She sighed and covered her face with her hands. "It's a long story but the short version is that Devin shot him." Hayley answered them.
Covet: Wow, that guy is such a sleezeball. -she said scrunching up her face, feeling a chill go down her back- Please tell me Devin is in jail for that.

Tsaaq: She sighed and covered her face with her hands. "It's a long story but the short version is that Devin shot him." Hayley answered them. ((repost))
Covet: Wow, that guy is such a sleezeball. -she said scrunching up her face, feeling a chill go down her back- Please tell me Devin is in jail for that.
Artificer: "Thats crazy." Ben said shaking his head in disbelief. "I hope Tony is okay." Ben said, almost throwing up when he said it.

Tsaaq: She nodded. "No he's fine. But it wouldn't have even happened to him if it weren't for me." Hayley said with a frown forming on her lips before she turned to Kelsey. "He's not... If I go to the police about it then things will get complicated." She told Kelsey.
Covet: -Kelsey gave her a concerned look- But, that's some pretty serious stuff. -She looked at them both- Send him my regards, I understand if you want to be with him right now, though. -she told her then looked at the time- I need to go. But both of you stay safe. Good to see you around again Ben. -she told them both then waved as she made her way out the door towards her vehicle to head home-
Artificer: Ben waited until Kelsey was out of earshot and he leaned in, speaking in a hushed whisper again. "What the hell is going on?" He asked throwing his hands up.

Tsaaq: ((Night bitch!))
Tsaaq: Hayley sat back down across from him after waving goodbye to Kelsey. "Tony found out about... A lot of shit and he got mad so he tried to kill Devin." She said, almost struggling to tell him. "So for a while we thought he was dead but then we found out he wasn't and he shot Tony and said he was going to kill him." Hayley explained.
Artificer: "Holy shit." Ben whispered listening to her tell her story. "This has gone way too fucking far. Someone needs to call the cops." Ben hissed, glancing around the diner.
Tsaaq: "We can't go to the cops, Ben. Then people will know what happened to me." She said quickly in a panicky whisper. "And I don't want to cause anymore problems. That's the opposite of I want to do." Hayley said quietly.
Artificer: "jesus christ Hayley." Ben scoffed. "I get it, you dont want people feeling sorry for you. What happens when someone really does die? You think it will all just go away?" Ben asked, his voice started to get louder.
Tsaaq: She lowered her head while he spoke, biting the inside of her cheek. "No? I don't know. I-" Hayley laid her head on the table while sniffling. "God I'm so stupid." She whimpered a little and made sure her face was covered while she cried.
Artificer: Ben stopped, watching her begin to cry. "No, no Hayley." He said reaching out, he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Its not your fault Hayley. I just." He paused for a moment "I wish we could just fast foward five years. The two of us are done with school, have our own place, a baby, and you never have to worry another day in your life." He sueezed her shoulder a bit. "I want to give that to you more then anything." He whispered, pulling his hand away.
Tsaaq: Hayley rose her head and stared across at Ben. "A baby?" She repeated softly and bit into her lower lip. "If life had a delete and a fast forward and rewind button I'd change a lot of shit." Hayley said as she cleared her throat, not bothering to wipe her teary face. "Ben I'm scared, of what might happen to me or because of me. If I'm not hurting myself then I'm hurting everyone else. And I can't even leave cause that would still be hurting people." She whispered.
Artificer: Ben grabbed a clean napkin and reached out, wiping the tears off of her cheeks. "I'm scared too, all the fucking time." Ben whispered, giving her a reassuring smile. He lifted her chin a bit looking into her eyes. " But I am right here, I won't leave your side, no matter how bad things get. Ive always got your back."
Tsaaq: "Even when I'm the worst?" She asked him weakly while staring up at him. "You're too nice to me Ben." Hayley said, forcing a laugh past her lips. "I'm sorry I just stopped talking to you. It's just been so hard y'know?" She shrugged a little. Hayley got up from the booth. "Can you walk me to my booth?" Hayley asked carefully.
Artificer: ((to her booth??))

Artificer: Ben smiled and stood up with her. He hooked his arm for her to hold, all gentlemanly and shit. "I shall escort the queen to her chariot at once!" Ben said out loud, loud enough for everyne to hear him.
Tsaaq: She nudged him with her elbow. "Stop being so loud, what if somebody sees?" Hayley asked quickly as she looked around then hooked her arm on his loosely in case the scarce amount of people saw and went to walk towards the door.
Artificer: Ben chuckled and walked with her outside towards her bike. "I really miss hanging out with you." Ben waited til they were outside and away from everyone else before he continued. "If we cant fool around anymore, you can still come over and hang out." He said as they walked up to her bike. "You need a car missy."
Tsaaq: "I mean..." She licked her lips and looked up at her. "I like having sex with you, and you're nice. And you tell me you love me all the time but if I slept with you while Tony sat at home being shot up cause of me I'd be the worse person ever." Hayley said to him and held onto him tightly once they were alone and outside. "I can't afford a car, not on my salary at Target." She sighed and went to hug him, leaning on him a moment.
Artificer: Ben held her tight in his arms, kissing the top of her head. "I love you Hayley, dont you forget it." He whispered before pulling from the hug. "You know where I live, stop by and play some video games or something." Ben pulled from the hug, he slid one hand down her back to her ass, giving it a playful smack and squeeze before pullling away.
Tsaaq: She nodded, looking at little sad when he pulled away. "I won't forget." Hayley yelped a bit from the smack and laughed, rubbing her bottom. "I guess I can come over sometime. I don't know. I'll text you and shit, okay Ben?" She said blowing him a kiss as she climbed onto her bike. "Night." Hayley said softly and peddalled away and shit to Tony's apartment.
