  1. It had been awhile for the sphinx. Avie hadn't been shopping in a year. All of her clothes had fit before, but then she started to transition. It was for the best, she had decided, to go out and try to find a few clothing stores. While she had found what she was looking for online, she wanted to mingle among the people more. She was more of an introvert, though Avie knew she had to get out of the house more often and at least try to interact with more people more often.

  3.
  4. Which is why she was walking towards the best store she could find right now. Though, the poor girl was a little nervous, preferring to stay and read a book or watch TV. But the poor little hybrid needed to shop. Desperately.
  5.
  6.
  7. She stood outside of Wings and Thangs for what felt like ten long minutes before the chime went off in the store. It was only then that Avie realized that she gotten into the story. A cursory glance around the store told her that this might be a special place and finally a store worth her time and money.

  10. Avie walked towards the women's section of the story. The poor hybrid knew she needed a few cute shirts to go with her pants and skirts. One of the major drawbacks was being a sphinx, Avie’s wings got in the way. Either that or they would cause holes in her shirts that she then had to repair.

  12.
  13. She pulled out a few shirts, a couple of greens and pinks that looked lovely. She also brought out a couple of blues and yellows. Avie also knew that she needed a couple of business shirts and a dress. At least one.
  14.
  15.
  16. “Hi there! Are you finding everything you’re looking for?”
  17.
  18.
  19. Avie froze for a moment before turning her head and seeing the very tall and athletic looking tigress. She had a very curvy figure and didn’t look much older than Avie. But behind her were two giant phoenix wings. Red at the tips, gold going down before ending back at a dark red where they connect to the body.
  20.
  21.
  22. “Or do you maybe need some help?”
  23.
  24.
  25. “I’m looking for clothes that will look good but allow me to contain my wings without them ripping…”
  26.
  27.
  28. The tigress nodded and then spent the next ten minutes talking of the virtues of the open bag and spaghetti straps. She put a few pieces into the sphinx’s arms and then lets her try them on. Avie came out after the first couple of pieces.
  29.
  30.
  31. “Well?”
  32.
  33.
  34. “You’re right. They do work better and I can finally flutter while even standing still.”
  35.
  36.
  37. “You can still buy the other ones too. They have slits in the back that allow plenty of movement.”
  38.
  39.
  40. The two moved to the register and the tigress rang up the purchases. What she didn’t tell Avie is that she also applied her twenty percent employee discount. The sphnix paid then left the shop, her stomach growling, but content that she finally had a few cute outfits and felt more confident than she had in a long while.
