  1. (10) Jhin had motioned toward the gates in order to relieve the previous shift of their duty. An oppressive amount of rainfall accompanies his entry, and a small smile is offered toward the weary troops located in front of Genjigakure. Rather than lingering there, the relieved guards would wave in farewell, leaving Jhin to oversee the defenses of the village.
  2.
  3. (11)His eyes scan the horizons, curiously wondering what laid out in the unknown world. There was plenty he wished to accomplish, and he was even more excited to see what sort of things laid in store for him. There was bound to meet all sorts of different people, and perhaps a chance for him to increase his swordsmanship skills. With that latter thought, he'd take it upon himself to clasp upon the actual blade that now remained strapped beside him.
  4.
  5. (12)It's weight was oppressive, but he would grow accustomed to the newly acquired iron blade. It was nothing of note, and rather mundane! But the sheathe itself was passed down from his father to him, the worn scabbard being a stark reminder of the traveling his father accomplished. His hand gently clasps upon the hilt of his blade, unsheathing it as a gentle hiss emanates from the blade slipping against its 'home'.
  6.
  7. (13) As he completely unveils his blade, rain would split along the sharpened end of his blade, holding it out before him with curiosity. An assortment of standard swings would be practiced, figuring that knocking out some training would ease the mundane boredom of gate duty. It'd kill time until his shift was relieved, and he'd be all the better for it, right?
  8.
  9. (14) Jhin wipes a bit of rain from his forehead, though it might have been sweat. He's unsure at this point, but it wasn't as if he had many complaints. "I was working out a bit at the gate, but I need some more practice, anyway. Let's stick with the bokkens for now, though." He states quietly, intent upon raising his wooden blade before him. He readies a defensive positioning, delving into the unorthodox stancing that Emiko had instructed him to remember. His feet were solidly planted along the soaked ground, only to await for his comrade to mentally and physically prepare himself. "Whenever you're ready, bro."
  10.
  11. (15)Jhin studies Roshi intently as he maintains his ground, though he would find himself able to properly keep track of Roshi's movements. Diligent training and tutelage under those who were far more experienced than him had certainly left an excellent impression. His bokken sweeps to collide with Roshi's own, causing an audible 'thwack' to echo throughout the training field. It comes to a stale-mate as Jhin's bokken remains on its collision with Roshi's own, though his right foot would attempt to kick off Roshi's knee and serve as a means for Jhin to briefly distance himself.
  12.
  13. (16)"Time to show you something new! Death slash!" Jhin calls out, only to propel forward as his blade was lifted to eye-level. Without warning, he'd perform a manuever that would reveal to Roshi that Jhin had not just been idling about! An abrupt slash is made upon Roshi's torso, the trajectory of the attack being almost certain in its ability to temporarily throw him off. This technique had been passed on to him by one of Roshi's own, and now it was being used against him!
