   shiratori hikari was born and lived a majority of her life in sapporo, japan along with her older sister and mother. her father was a military soldier and often moved away. despite so, she still has a strong relationship with her father. she's actually the closest to her father. ever since she could remember, she and her family lived in a big house with her aunt's family - a total of six people living under the same roof, excluding her father of course. her mother works as a baker while both her aunt and uncle were teachers for a nearby high school. just like any child, she played outside a lot. as a child, she was more mischievous than she is now. she would often cause trouble and get scolded. even so, she did it anyways.

  around the age of fourteen, her mother and father divorced. it was a peaceful one, not like the ones that usually happened and hikari was thankful for it. she lives with her father and moved a lot. despite this, every holiday she gets, she would be with her mother and older sister. around this time, there were gossip about jyp's audition. she was curious about it and had asked her sister. apparently they were looking for new trainees to accept. intrigued by it, she and her sister auditioned - while the older went hard with her audition by showcasing her vocals, hikari showed the judges her moves. though lacking in energy and was stiff, she had potential. both were accepted. she was about seventeen when this happened.

   she stayed in the company until she was nineteen, where she stopped due to her mental health. her sister had also stopped - saying that she prefers focusing on her studies first and aims to be a doctor instead. she took a two year break before auditioning for woollim entertainment. she was accepted and has been training there for a few months now.
