Love Formula Chapter 19 

Chapter starts with a rainy scene outside. Inside the apartment, fmc and mc are lying down on the bed. Fmc tells mc that it's raining. She then asks mc if he remembers when he confessed to her it was also raining. Mc tells her if it's that so. Mc thinks how he was brutally rejected by fmc. Fmc tells mc that she wasn't sure back then. She tells him how she wasn't confident enough to make the step up from just being friends. She tells him that back then they were like siblings. 

Mini flashback and fmc narrates/tells mc how she wasn't sure if she could be more than friend with mc until mc started dating a classmate. We see HS fmc looking from behind at mc and his gf in hs having a good time. Fmc tells mc that after seeing that she then realized that she liked him but couldn't confess. She tells him that she was afraid that he'd reject her so she started to send him signals frequently for him to confess to her again but it never happened. MC tells fmc that he's sorry and never noticed. Fmc tells him it's okay and it's her fault. She tells him that from now on she'll be honest with him about her feelings and everything. 

Mc then tells fmc that since they are being honest now and will tell each other everything, he asks her to tell him the reason why she asked for his help earlier while crying. Fmc stays silent while biting her lip unable to say express her words. Mc tells her that she doesn't have to tell him anything if she doesn't feel comfortable saying it. Fmc tells mc that she'll tell him everything. Mc narrates how as fmc was telling him the atrocious events that happened to her, it felt like his heart was being stabbed and was filled and overcome with maddening rage listening to what that rapist did to fmc. An angry mc suddenly asks fmc where rapist manager lives. Fmc surprised and asks him what is he going to do. Mc tells her that he'll go to the asshole's place and sort him out. Fmc hugs mc from the back telling him to not go and she wants him to stay by her side. Mc calms down a bit then pat fmc's head. Mc narrates how it rained that entire night. In the morning mc is awake, looking at a sleeping fmc. He tenderly grabs her cheek and tells her to not worry, then he leaves. 

Mc coming to work thinking how should he handle things with Jieun(coworker). He remembers how he promised to come back as soon as possible after taking care of fmc. He then think how that ended up being a lie and he didn't come back. He thinks she must be angry. Mc goes inside the cafe and see a ponytail dude working in front of a desktop. He thinks it's Jieun(coworker) and start trying to explain what happened yesterday but it turns out it's his boss. Mc suprised. Boss looks at him and asks if he's looking for Jieun. Boss tells mc that Jieun has quit saying she can't work here anymore due to personal circumstances and matters. Mc is surprised by that. Boss complains how she was such a good worker and it'll be hard to replace her. Mc suddenly leaves the cafe while his boss is left screaming at him asking if he also wants to quit. 

Mc running on the street trying to call Jieun. Meanwhile Jieun is in a bus looking at her phone ring. She sees it's mc's number and not picking up. She's crying and start narrating to herself how did she meet mc. She narrates how the first time she met him was during her interview for her job. Flashback and we see a nervous Jien telling mc that she doesn't know how to use Aspen(probably an computer app/software in this ktoonverse. Mc tells her to relax and not be nervous and it's easy. Jieun narrates how she didn't expect to get the job and wen she asked mc why she picked and hired her, his answer surprised her. Flashback and Jieun is asking mc why he hired her. MC tells her he did so because the boss said there are no person with ponytails who are bad people(lol, this is funny bc the Boss himself has a ponytail). Jieun is surprised by that then banter with mc asking if she didn't show up with a ponytail she wouldn't have been hired? Mc tells her maybe or maybe not. Jieun narrates how it was quite funny. 

Jieun continues narrating how her time with mc was fun, how mc always made her smile and eventually she gradually fell in love with him. We are shown a flashback moment when Jieun takes a picture of a dozing off mc on her phone while she giggles happily. Back to present and Jieun is still tearing up while Mc is busy looking for her still trying to reach her. She looks at her phone and reject the call. Mc's call goes to voicemail. Mc then asks where is she, he then says how he want to meet her so he can tell her he's sorry. Mc narrates how Jieun didn't want to have a wordy farewell because she didn't want to have and leave any regrets between the 2 of them. TBC...

Maupp's Thots: Well, quite a bittersweet chapter. Feels like this toon is about to end, unless author throws in more drama.
