>"Can I sleep with you tonight, Anon?"
>Dammit, again? You were just about to fall asleep, too.
>You pry your eyes open and sit up, already knowing who it is.
>You swear, It's every night with this mare.
>Sure enough, poking her head through your door is the sun god herself, Celestia.
"Cellie, you don't need company.  You're a big girl."
>"Please Anon?  I had a bad dream."
>You'll get her to say it someday.
"Isn't that your sister's job?"
>"Anon, you know perfectly well why she can't help."
>Right, something about a permanent ward or something.
>Cause Luna went crazy.
>"Please, Anon?" She repeats, stepping into your room while giving big puppy eyes.
>That's cheating, she knows you can't resist.
"Fine." 
>She lets out an excited little whinnie and gallops over to you.
"But!"
>She skids to a halt at the edge of your bed.
"Only if I get to be the little spoon."
>"But Anooon!"  Her ears droop as those puppy eyes return.  
>Your conviction wavers, but you stand firm.
"No, no buts this time.  This bed's barely big enough for me, every time you do this I end up with about six inches of mattress."
>"Anonymous…” She places a hoof on your bed. “You’re the first being in Equestria who’s been able to properly cuddle me.  My ponies are all too little, and minotaurs are too big.  I’m sorry if I get a little overzealous.”
>She lowers her head, still giving those puppy eyes.
>”I promise to give you all the space that you need..just say if I’m being a bed hog.”
“Celestia, that’s what you said last night.’
>She lets out a little snort and drops the cute act, grinning away.
>”Oh, I’m sorry, was it?”
“I’m beginning to think you aren’t having bad dreams at all.”
>If you didn’t know better, you’d suspect there was an ulterior motive to Celestia’s constant late night visits.
>But she said friendly cuddles are just a thing they do in Equestria.
>”Anon, I wouldn’t lie to you.  If you lived as long as I have, you would have plenty of reasons to have nightmares too.”
>...Wait.  Didn’t she say that last week?
“Celly…”
>”I’ll buy you a bigger bed tomorrow?”
>She’s not going to give up, is she?
>You just want to sleep.
“Fine, you win.”
>You barely have time to scoot over before the squeeing sun princess jumps on your bed, soon wiggling under your blanket.
>Her head soon finds its way under your chin, a little “mmmm” rising from her throat.
>You try to pull your head back as her mane tickles your nose, but you know from experience that it’s a fruitless endeavor
>”Thank you Anonymous..”
>Draping one arm over her barrel, you start to play the game of, “find the least uncomfortable position for your other arm.”
>You aren’t very good at this game.
“Good night Sunbutt.”
>”Nighty night Anon…”
>It doesn’t take too long before you can feel little random twitches under her fur, signalling that she’s falling asleep.
>You try to join her, attempting to ignore that mane as it occasionally brushes against your face.
>It’s not working so well.
>It begins once you feel her breathing reach a slow, steady rate.
>She starts unconsciously pressing into you, forcing you to scoot backwards again.
>Once again, you’re pushed back until you’re riiight on the edge of that mattress, pretty much forced to lean on her to keep from falling off the bed.
>And she wonders why you’re always tired.
