BACKGROUND : Born and raised in Hong Kong, she lived with her parents and her older sister. During most of her childhood, she spent most of her time with her mother and older sister the most because her father is usually busy with work. She knows that he's busy because he has to take care of the family, so she doesn't really mind it. But when her father is home, he'll always spend his time with her and her older sister. 
             Unfortunately, towards the end of her primary years, her mother passed away due to an accident - leaving behind only a butterfly necklace for her ( which is why she wears the necklace every day ). Due to this, she and her remaining family moved back to her father's hometown in Seoul. The girls are being taken care by their grandmother, while their father worked.

PERSONALITY : Overall, she's a really happy, cheerful and bubbly girl. It's rare for one to see her upset since she's always smiling. She can sometimes be seen in tears too - tears of joy. From her hilarious jokes to her unexpected sass, one can always hear her talk. She isn't a loud person, but her voice can be heard easily from a few feet away. She mainly gets this personality from spending time with her mother a lot and her laughs and smiles - it sometimes makes them feel nostalgic because her mother was simply an older and mature version of her.
              Due to her personality, it's easy for her to make friends and she isn't afraid of making the first move. She isn't necessarily the popular girl, but she is definitely well-known and usually liked by most people. Despite knowing plenty of people who usually either greet each other or have a quick chat, she only has several close friends that she hangs out with often and share a lot of stuff with them.
             However, behind that cheerful side of hers, she keeps the true sad feelings to herself. She would express her anger and sadness to her family or friends, but there is so much more behind it than the people around her know. One of the reasons behind a sadness is her mother. Despite letting her go, she always thinks of her mother and misses her until the point she cries herself to sleep ( but crying usually happens when she's having a really really bad time ).
             She is definitely a nice person, but once someone makes her mad, it means that they've really done horrible things to her ( like her ex ). She'll always ignore the person and indirectly insult them on purpose when they're around her. But luckily, it rarely happens because she is quite oblivious. She is also the type to forgive people easily BUT she'll ALWAYS remember their mistake.

HIS PERSONALITY : He looks like a quiet person, but he's actually pretty out-going. He makes friends easily and he's quite a charmer too, but he doesn't simply call everyone his good friends. He is quite optimistic and mature because he's used to hanging out with the older kids - he is also very 'oppa' material. Despite being outgoing, he is not very confident and has insecurities. He always hides the insecurities with all the smile. He might not seem like it, but he's actually aware of his surroundings and always knows a lot of things that happen in school - but doesn't talk about it.

HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM : In the beginning, he is simply another one of the boys that she knows in class but doesn't really make an effort to be friends with him - mainly because she knows that he is her ex's cousin. When the two have a conversation, she is - of course - very friendly and nice because it's just how she naturally is, but she's careful about what she says because he is her ex's cousin. 
                         In the beginning of the middle part, he confesses to her, which she "politely" rejects and just tells him to act like nothing happens. Which the two do, but it's hard for them to actually forget about the situation when all they both can think of is the awkward confession. 
                         Eventually, in the middle, after making a deal with him, they two try to spend time together - however, it doesn't make them actually close to each other. She'll still feel uncomfortable because she keeps remembering her ex and spending time with her ex's cousin is honestly not the thing that she should be doing.
                         In the end, she grows feelings for him because of all the things that he does for her and but doesn't want to date him until she feels completely ready to, because she doesn't want to experience the same thing that happened to her previously - which is okay for him. So, the two basically just act like a couple but they aren't a couple.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOU : In the beginning, he tries to communicate as often as he can - which he succeeds, but deep down inside, he's really nervous. Whenever a guy talks to her, he'll always join it because, to him, it seems like he isn't awkward - plus he gets a tiny bit jealous. He can sense that she isn't really comfortable around him, but he doesn't really care about it.
                         When he confesses to her and she rejected him, he gets very upset and just goes along with whatever she told him to. But, of course, just like her, he can't forget the rejection. Which is why he makes a deal with her and, due to that, he gets to spend time with her more. Even if it gets awkward, he's happy that he's with her. 
                         In the end, he's completely okay with her not wanting to date him 'yet' but he does feel hurt on the inside. He lowkey blames his cousin for dumping her. He treats her as if they're dating but, like above, they aren't a couple.
