Riley is one of the main characters, and the 6th character introduced in Rwby:4. His current weapon of choice is a pair of Hyper Kinetic Energy Gauntlets.

Appearance:
Riley is a teenage boy who wears a black combat vest and shirt with a bandanna picturing a wolves open mouth around his neck. He wears a basic pair of dark grey combat jeans and Atlesian Military Combat Boots. Riley also dons a pair of Pitch Black shades, keeping his eyes entirely hidden from view, he wears them cause "they're badass". Riley also has a pair of Atlesian Dual Combat Gunblades strapped on his lower back.

Personality:
Riley has a calm and collective personality, open to all ideas but not afraid to criticize or speak his mind on any subject. He cares deeply about everyone in the rebellion and does his best to keep everyone "out of deaths grasp". Riley is also an Optimist, preferring to see the good in a bad situation shown by his quote: "Every Dark cloud has a silver lining". Riley respects anyones strength, even who he fights against. He also has a keen sense of knowing a persons emotion based off there body language. His most powerful attribute is his sheer determination.

Abilities and Powers:
Rileys fighting style is a balanced mix of passive aggression and kickboxing. He has above average agility and superb strength, being able to completely lift and throw an ursai miles away. He is known to be physically the strongest fighter in the rebellion. His Level of Durability is extremely high, as he has survived building explosions and collapses, numerous handicapped fights, and grimm onslaughts. Rileys Weapons allow him to absorb the shock of most blows making them cause minimum harm while using absorb energy to make him hit harder. He is also a weapons master, meaning he has skill with a variety of different weapon types. Rileys sembalance allows him to manipulate energy into multiple other forms, including Potential(Energy that could be used) into Kinetic energy, allowing him to move faster and gain additional strength. he can also change Kinetic energy into Thermal or Electrical energy and vice versa,  allowing him to create bolts of Lighting or balls of fire to use in combat. He also can produce photonic energy out his eyes allowing him to see clearly out of his shades.

Weapons:
Riley is known as a weapons master, meaning he is highly skilled in using many different weapons. Riley fluctuates his use of weaponry to "keep things interesting"

Sun and Moon
Rileys first ever weapon, a pair of thorn blades that he stole from an Atlas military shipment. They are strong enough to slice through weak metals and can each "detach themselves transforming into metal whips. Riley has excellent swordplay with them and deadly precision when using there whip mode. Riley has also used them like rope, throwing them around out of reach ledges and pulling himself up. One blade is a golden-red color while the other is a silver-white color. 

Wolfs Fangs
A pair of Atlesian Dual Combat Gunblades Riley stole from a Supply Yard upon his return to Vale. Strong enough to pierce concrete and soft metals. Riley has complete mastery over these being able to deflect virtually any other blade with them as well as use them to scale buildings or cliffs and throw them with excellent precision. Above average marksmanship.

Ties That Bind
A gift from Neopolitan, A Kinetic energy Pistol that does not fire off of regular ammunition, but instead creates its own using the users Aura. Rileys strongest tactic for ranged assault with shots strong enough to pierce even Atlesian Warship siding. A rose is engraved on the side.

Killswitch
The first weapon Riley ever made himself, Killswitch are a pair of Hyper Kinetic Energy Shot Gauntlets capable of shooting regular ammunition as well as Aura. Durable enough to withstand countless past assaults as well as stop moving vehicles. Made from special kinetic-absorbing metal to amplify Rileys Sembalance. A Dark grey wolf head is depicted on each one.

Direwolf
The 2nd weapon Riley made, a customizable Battle Halberd with a serrated pick and Rileys main form of mid range combat. Durable enough to absorb bullet fire and even a hammer smash from Noras Magnhilde. Rileys skill with it can rival Ruby and Qrows skill with a scythe. 
 

Backstory: 
Riley was born to  a gambling addict father and a rising huntress. After an argument over rather his father actually cared about their family his mom left. While raising Riley, his father made him wear shades, as he said his eyes where just like his mothers His Dad raised him poorly for a while, but was later killed when he gambled money he didnt have, leaving Riley on his own when he was 12.

Shortly after his fathers death Riley left Vale and went to Mistral, and after his first theft, 2 Thorn Blades and a pair of Pitch Shades. Riley started his life as a thief and occaisonaly vigilante soon after, building up a reputation as the Black Rose. He was eventually hired by Platina Taivas, another master thief who went by Wraith, to help kill the man who murdered her father, a job at which the succeded and grew respect for each other. Not long after, Rileys attempt to rob a Schnee dust factory was foiled by White Fang interference, which caused the whole building to collapse an event that was blamed entirely on Riley, which caused him to rise as the Most wanted person in all of Mistral.

Soon after, Riley fled Mistral with the help of Wraith, deciding to go home to Vale until "the heat died down". He stopped using his Thorn Blades and started using a pair of Atlesian Combat Daggers and started donning a Bandana with an open Wolves Jaw, which spawned his next street name as the Black Wolf of Vale. While in Vale, Riley found Neopolitan, after she used her sembalance to steel food from a vendor, but got trapped in the allies by Juniors Thugs which led to Riley interfering and saving her. This led to Neo and him becoming partners in crime. Riley preceded to teach her Passive aggression, a battle technique that involves constantly avoiding a foes attacks and using agility to win. After Neo mastered this technique Riley bought her a special umbrella as a gift. After an attempted bank robbery that again got interrupted by the White Fang, the bank exploded causing Riley to get lost in the blast. No one found his body and was presumed dead but after a week of recovering He set out to find Neo.

When the Grimm invasion struck Riley was in the streets fighting against them with other hunters and huntresses, eventually finding Onyx Noir and assisting him,  until the call to retreat was given. Afterwards, after hearing that the White Fang and Cinder whee moving towards Haven Riley decided to head there himself to help defend it, but arriveed to late as the city fell to Cinders rule a few hours before he arrived. Inspite of these events Riley went through Haven finding any Hutsman or Huntress he could find, and brought them together to fight against Cinder and the White Fang.
