Section 1 - Introduction Section 2 - Do you have a relationship with God? Section 3 - List of Scriptures pertaining to this message ----------------------------------------------------------Section 1 - Introduction----------------------------------------------------- Is "once saved always saved" really true? Does God's Word support that idea? Is all your future sins as a Christian automatically forgiven? As Christians we must understand that once saved always saved only applies if we live saved. When a person is born again then their sins are forgiven but not their future sins automatically. John 3:3 in God's Word says "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." If we are born again then God will forgive us in the future if we mess up and ask Him to forgive us. 1 John 1:9 in God's Word says " If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.". If all of our sins are automatically forgiven once your born again then why did God tell people to repent? Why did God allow us to ask Him for forgiveness even after a person is already born again? Only people who do the will of the Father will inherit the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 7:21 in God's Word says " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.". We are servants and God is our Master. If for example our Master is throwing a party and ask of us His servants to do certain tasks and we decide to do something else then how can our Master throw the party the way He wants? How can God's plan for our life work if we decide to do something other than what He ask? If all of our future sins as a born again Christian were automatically forgiven then couldn't that give us the ability to not do what God says? Couldn't that give us the ability to just keep sinning? Romans 6:1-2 in God's Word says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?". God's Word says in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 " Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." We as Christians must understand that God does forgive us but that's only if we ask of Him and afterwards we are to repent. God loves all of us very much and wants us to repent as Christians, He wants people that don't have a relationship with Him to turn to Him so that He can have a relationship with them. ----------------------------------------Section 2 - Do you have a relationship with God?----------------------------------------------- God is so loving and cares for each and every one of us! You may be here right now and you don't know the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, God's will involves us becoming His children, to become one of His children you have to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and in order to do that you need to accept what Jesus did for you. God's Word says in John 3:16-17 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.". God's Word tells us in Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.". God's Word also tells us in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;". Romans 5:8 in God's Word says - " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.". God loves you and wants to have a deep relationship with you! God is merciful and is willing to forgive us and accept us in, we just need to accept His gift of Jesus Christ! If your reading this and you want to give your life to God then confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and believe on God who sent Jesus and raised Jesus from the dead. Then ask God to forgive you of all your sins. Romans 10:9-10 in God's Word says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.". If you've done those steps then welcome to God's family!! God's Word says in Luke 15:7 - " I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.". From this point forward, continue your life in God's will because that's very important! Matthew 7:21 in God's Word says "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.". Ask God to show you what His will is, ask God to reveal Himself unto you and ask God to give you wisdom of His Word. I strongly encourage that you read your Bible everyday! ---------------------------------Section 3 - List of Scriptures from God's Word pertaining to this message----------------------------- (KJV) King James Version Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Titus 2:11-13 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
