>You continue to follow this little purple unicorn through the town, admiring the unusual architecture and general look of the whole place
>Most of the other p0nies around just stood aside and stared as you walked by, most of them with angry glares
>Hyperion really must have left a bad impression right off the bat
"So hey, umm.. purple.. unicorn.. thi-"
>"Twilight Sparkle."
"Huh?"
>"My name, it's Twilight Sparkle."
"Oh, right, of course... Anonymous. Pleased to meet ya."
>Twilight only nods her head in response, still focused on leading you somewhere
"So how long has Hyperion been here anyway?"
>"Only a couple-"
>Her response is cut-off as a scream echos through the town
>You and Twilight immediately stop in your tracks and look back
>A bright teal-colored unicorn is galloping up the road toward you
>In an instant she vanishes and appears in front of Twilight
>Twi:"Lyra, what's going on!?"
>L:"A few diamond dogs came into P0nyville looking for the human, said they'd come and take him by force if they needed to. They aren't normal diamond dogs either, like they've gone completely insane or something."
>Twi:"Ugh, we don't need this right now... What the heck do they want with this human anyway?"
"Guess I'll have to find out."
>Just then you see a group of larger creatures come around a corner down the road where this Lyra came from
>They were standing on their hind legs and were all wielding large axes

>Well, three of the four of them were, the last one had a much smaller axe but it looked like he had quite a few more strapped around his waistline
>What you noticed next however, was that they were all wearing white masks that looked strangely familiar
>And really, that's all you needed to see
>Whatever these creatures normally were on this planet didn't matter, they were corrupt now
>You knew they would take what they want or die trying
>And right now it looks like the ladder is about to happen
>One of them motions to you and the others turn, all of them now jogging your direction
>You holster your Jacobs assault rifle onto your back and replace it with your Maliwan sniper rifle
>It wasn't anything super special, but damage and accuracy were enough to get the job done
>You crouch and bring up your rifle, aiming through the scope at the 'dog' on the far left
>Twi:"Anonymous what are you-"
>Twilight is cut off again, this time by the sound of your rifle
>Such an easy critical hit to the head, and the creature goes down fast
>The other three quicken their pace, but barely a second after your first shot, you had your sights on the next one in line
>Another shot escapes your rifle and finds it's spot in the head of your second target
>The last two had began slaloming in-between various carts and stands that were setup along the road
>The dog with the smaller axes jumped onto a cart and threw the axe in his hand at you

>Luckily you noticed this and stepped to the side to avoid it
>Damn he had a good arm
>You look back through the scope of your rifle and focus on the dog's head
>Just after he throws another axe and his head becomes stationary, you pull the trigger
>Immediately you jump to the side to avoid another well-thrown axe
>You see your shot reach its intended destination
>Three for three, you're on a roll so far!
>The last target was in too close now though, so you place the sniper rifle on your back and bring your assault rifle forward
>Most people you've ran into so far give Jacobs rifles a bad rap, but this one has proven it's worth
>It was an odd design, and the golden plates and wooden trim gave it a unique style, fairly out of place compared to most of the other weapons you've seen out there
>But it has quite a kick to it, and pretty decent accuracy to boot
>Yep, this single-shot semi-automatic rifle was plenty good enough for you in the past up until now
>You've never gone up against Hyperion though, so you weren't sure how long it would last
>As you held up your assault rifle and aimed down the sights at your final target, you slowly began walking backwards
>It was no more than fifteen yards from you now and closing fast, laughing maniacally, axe ready to be swung at you
>You fire a shot and it strikes his left shoulder
>It barely phased him, movement not slowed at all
>Ten yards out
>You fire another shot, hits him in the stomach

>He recoils a bit, but continues forward
>Five yards out
>You fire one last shot before readying a large combat knife
>The shot hits him square in the chest
>He recoils again, this time stopping for a moment
>Just a second passes before he raises his axe and charges you
>At that moment, he becomes enshrouded by a purple aura and is lifted into the air
>What the hell?
>You look over at Twilight, and her horn is glowing the same color
>The fuck is this, is she a siren or something!?
>Suddenly you see a glow from the teal unicorn as a bolt of light shoots from her horn and at the psycho diamond dog
>It strikes him in the face
>By now your echo device is showing incredibly low vitals on him
>You motion to the teal unicorn to not do that again, and thankfully she doesn't
>The dog's gaze remains fixed on you as he struggles to move but gets nowhere
>You hold up your rifle to his head as he floats helplessly just a couple yards in front of you
"What do you want with me?"
>He manages to chuckle under his mask before responding
>"Hyperion- offer reward, for- vault hunter-"
"What? I've been here about five minutes and they already know who I am? Wonderful..."
>Twi:"Anonymous, I'd like to question hi-"
"Anything else you wanna tell me?" you ask the dog, ignoring Twilight
>"Ha! -give... hit points.. back!"
"Hmm. No-can-do buddy." you say, nodding your head
>You pull the trigger on your rifle and the creature's body goes limp
>Twilight gasps

>You turn to her again and see her wide-open eyes
>As if she didn't watch you take out three others
"Sorry Twilight Sparkle, but this creature was corrupt. He would get me or die trying, there is no other option. I'm surprised he even told me about Hyperion."
>Twilight sighs and releases the dog to the ground
>A few coins spill from it's corpse, but you don't notice anything else
"The hell is this?"
>You crouch to the ground and inspect the so-called loot
>Looked like some form of currency
"Hmm... not what I'm used to, but dosh is dosh, gotta grab it all."
>You scoop up what coins you can and pocket them
>Remembering the three others down the road, you begin walking
>Twi:"Anonymous, what are you doing? I need you to come with me!"
"Give me a minute Twilight, this is more important."
>"More important!?" she yells in an annoyed tone
>You ignore her and continue on to inspect the three other psycho dogs
>All the same, small amounts of coins littered the road around them
>Oh well, you won't complain
>Not like they had guns, so you shouldn't expect to find ammo
>You didn't really need it yet anyway
>After checking the last one, you turn and head back to Twilight, who's still standing in the same spot, glaring at you
>The teal unicorn trots forward and up to you
>"Hey, that was really good work, I hope you stay on our side!"
"Uhh, thanks.. and yeah, if Hyperion is giving you trouble, then count me an ally."

>"Sweet! Well I gotta get back on watch, see ya later. And thanks!"
>She gives you a warm smile and trots off back down the road
>You approach Twilight Sparkle, who's still glaring and tapping a hoof on the ground impatiently
>"Are you done now?"
"Yeah yeah, let's go. Looks like I'll have even more questions for you now anyway."
