S: A-another person come to the Hall? 
S: Been too long. I hope you're not one of them... necromancer types.
S: Come to honor our fallen city's history? Or was there something else a Priest of Arkay might help you with?

P: Can you tell me of Winterhold's history?
S: Not many people still remember the full story. They all focus on the Great Collapse and how we are only a shell of our former glory now.
S: I am one of the few that still holds onto the truth, the locals call me Sigver the Scribe, for how I meticalously record the accounts. Someone has to.

P: What do you think of the College?
S: I don't think fondly of them. I realize how they are one of the few remaining sources of income for Winterhold now, but they also allow the darker arts.
S: My job is to tend to the ancient crypts here, and make sure that our ancestors are not defiled in this sacred place.

P: What can you tell me about this Hall?
S: The Hall of the Dead here is somewhat different than the others in towns, I feel.
S: For one, we have sections dedicated to wizards, and royalty, seperate from others.
S: That alone was enough reason for the Jarl to let it fall into disrepair, as it has, since the Collapse.
S: Which is a shame, since we also have a system of water that runs through.

P: There are wizards buried here?
S: Some. Not all were buried here, they tend to show off their magical tricks even in the afterlife, but they were, at a time, honored, as the dead should have been.
S: Ones like Shalidor might not be found physically in these halls, but they are remembered all the same for their impact on the city.

P: You mentioned a system of water.
S: Oh, yes. Being a fairly large city, we had sewage systems in place for most of the houses. Fairly modern.
S: Unfortunately, some of it both extended into and influenced the shape of our Hall, and not being maintaned properly means a number of issues.

P: The Hall of the Dead is not well-maintained?
S: I'm the only person that usually ever even comes down here. We've lost entire sections due to the Collapse.
S: It's hard enough convincing guards to deal with the occasional grave robber anymore.

P: What do you do here, exactly?
S: I usually spend my time trying to spread the word of our city's lost glory, or keep the Hall well-lit, as is tradition.
S: My other duties are to Arkay, and I pray to him and respect death.

P: Tell me of Arkay, your deity.
S: Arkay is God of the Cycle of Birth and of Death.
S: "Come to me, Arkay, for without you, there is neither breath nor beginning, nor can any man live, love, or learn without the spark of your spirit."
