Sephiroth Theory:

After Battler had sent the message to Yotsumoe where he promised a fight to the death he needed to prepare for this eventual match off. This wasn't a challenge. It never asked for a reply from Yotsumoe. It was a declaration of intent. During his preparation he grew concerned. Yotsumoe is a time traveller and Maddie is a devil. Who knows what they could do to him? The odds were heavily stacked against him. So, Battler decided to contact the most brilliant mind that already knew of DameDame, Sephiroth. Although it isn't possible to directly contact people on nyaa, Battler google Sephiroth's full handle and made attempts to contact those. He eventually found the right person. Sephiroth like any other DameDame viewer became interested in becoming more involved in the events enfolding and so decided to involve himself with Battler, if only for a bit. What they may have talked about I couldn't possibly know or even attempt to guess, afterall Sephiroth's intelligence is legions ahead of any of us here. 

This was a mistake that Battler did not anticipate, although he should have seen it coming. As I have stated before, despite being a genius, Sephiroth is broke.

One of Sephiroth's motivations is for money. Weed can be expensive, especially when consumed in extreme quantities. It isn't unheard of for those wandering into the field of thought experiments to gain motivation or inspiration from recreational drugs. Sephiroth needs his weed to think at at his best. He only had 1 dollar as of last week (12th episode), It's likely he was near just as broke when Battler died. Money isn't a personal reason, but it's a reason for many crimes.

Furthermore, before DameDame entered his life he was lost in the darkness. Who knows how long he spent trekking through the dark? DameDame are his saviours. Battler was in a spot that threatened DameDame.

Sephiroth was inclined to do something. He couldn't just let his saviours be taken down by some brat on the internet. DameDame is love. DameDame is life. Could Sephiroth let Yotsumoe die? No. Sephiroth would take any means necessary to protect DameDame.

So when Battler told him of a plan to meet up and go to Yotsumoe's lab together Sephiroth knew what he needed to do. Of course Sephiroth went with him. Together they rummaged through the lab until they found a sheet with information that Battler believed could prove that the DameDame was evil. And then there was a loud noise at the door which made Battler hide in Pidgenyan's dark and small house. What was that noise? Well it doesn't necessarily have to be a person entering or leaving the door. It could have been Sephiroth starting his attack on Battler which prompted Battler to hide inside Pidgenyan's house. 

Well, before Battler's death, Sephiroth may have used force to get Battler's password. I'm sure Battler wasn't so concerned about the secrecy of his pastebin password when his life was on the line. Sephiroth decided to attack the pastebin to protect his saviours good names. He couldn't let lies about them spread like that. What about the Phi symbol? Well his handle is x420xSePhiRoTHx, with Phi being split off into it's own section noticably. Perhaps he decided to put a phi symbol in there as a signature or as some sort of cryptic message to confuse people and give himself more time to hide the evidence.

Sephiroth was in trouble. He didn't know what to do with the body. He had already once been saved by DameDame and had just prevented a possible assailant from bringing harm to Yotsumoe, so perhaps he decided to decided to wait around for Yotsumoe to come back to tell him about the situation. Yotsumoe  decided to help Sephiroth. Sephiroth was a viewer and nakama afterall, Yotsumoe just couldn't let Sephiroth take the fall for protecting him all alone.

Unfortunately for Sephiroth and Yotsumoe, the day that Sephiroth brought Battler over was a Dameday. I'm sure you remember that day that Yotsumoe was busier than usual that day and so couldn't reply to us on the torrent.

Well in actuality he had his hands tied up with dealing with Battler's body. I'm sure we all remember when he said that no one should come over to his lab at that time because it wasn't safe and he wasn't ready yet. It was only a mistake to include Battler's body inside the picture with Pidgenyan's hairball. If so then why did he black out the part with Battler's body and hide the full picture in a password protected rar? Well perhaps he put in the wrong file. I can't think of anything else unless Yotsumoe did so so only the most dedicated of DameDame fans could find the picture. They wouldn't doubt him. 

Anyways, afterwards, Yotsumoe and Sephiroth changed Battler's pastebin to include a Phi sign and planned to pin the murder onto Phi. Or to lead the tracks away from Sephiroth anyways.

Sephiroth's suspicion may have led him to post less frequently on the torrents. However, as we have been amazed by his philosophy and mention him so often, he can not completely disappear of that would be too suspicious.

As of yesterday, Sephiroth has shown more aggression towards the opposers of damedame.

In fact, he goes further than to attack people who oppose Damedame subs. He attacks those who only watch DameDame subs casually. Sephiroth is becoming more and more hostile, showing a dangerous level of fanaticism.
