This balanced team has great overall defensive synergy and can switch into a lot of the metagame at the same time. Offensively, the team has standard Wailord, Bulk Up Machoke and SubGrowth Sunflora to beat opposing teams; defensively, the team uses a core of Lickitung + Dustox + Graveler to check pretty much everything from special attackers to Fighting types to Grass types to Normal types and anything in between. Although the team lacks in speed, and is therefore slightly threatened by things like Calm Mind Abra, it can still hold its own vs other fast things like Furret and Minun, which are more common.

The lead of choice of the team is Wailord, which is great for threatening out anything slower than it that doesn't resist Water (Graveler, Pineco, Machoke). Sunflora adds a check to opposing Grass and Electric types. It also checks Defensive Clamperl provided it does not get Toxic-ed on the switchin. Lickitung was added as a catch all option for special attackers like Charmeleon and opposing Wailord. Dustox was added to check Choice Band Machoke, mainly, as it quad resists Fighting type attacks. It can also Toxic stall a lot of Pokemon, which is effective in conjunction with Dustox's decent bulk. Machoke was added as a glue and another sweeper, but this time on the physical spectrum. Its ability to pressure opposing teams that many balance teams struggle with doing, is important. Finally, Graveler was splashed on for an easy flying and normal resist. Hope you enjoy the team!
