A gentle harmony

'Oh goodness, and their Leona was so fierce, I could hardly manage to stay alive if I tried to harass' Sona excitedly thought to her summoner, clinging to his arm with a smile wide across her face. "I remember, I remember- it was only yesterday after all! We've had tougher opponents though, remember that one time someone summoned Xin to the bot lane?" 'D-don't remind me about that, the whole team hated us like it was our fault they were so strong!' Letting out a laugh, he pat her head lightly "there there, that was forever ago, and the team forgave us after our ult cemented the win." 'I guess...' she pouted, before smiling gently back at the man. Sona was so relieved whenever her summoner had time off, he would always spend some time with her, and relieve the pent up girl inside, desperate for some socialization.
"How about some Ionian today? I feel like some soup and noodles." 'You know I never mind Ionian food, it reminds me of that lady I used to live with, I guess she's abotu as close to a mother as I could have..' a wistful look slid over the girl's face before it lit up again, 'Oh! I'd really love some dumplings! She would make me dumplings all the time when I was young-' she began excitedly before stopping, surveying the suddenly serious look on her summoner's face. "You know, you don't need to bottle it up with me- it's not as if you get many other chances to talk about it, Sona." 'I-I.. it's the only day we have together, I don't want to make it difficult..' she replied, looking away from him for only a moment before she found his arms around her, pulling her into a tight and caring hug. "I'm not here just for myself, you know. Relax, Sona." 'B-but I..' she began slowly, shivering in his arms, her face buried in his chest. '...I never got the chance to thank her, you know.. I feel guilty about that. I got adopted and ended up in Demacia, later ending up in the institute and I just..forgot. She's long gone now, and I'll never be able to.. thank mom, for everything she did for me.. I was probably one of the hardest children to adopt off..' Pulling the blue haired maven closer the summoner chuckled, nuzzling the top of her head lightly. "You silly girl, don't you think she's glad you found a place to belong? That's what she wanted most for you, I'm certain she understood what it meant to let you go. I'm certain she knew how you loved her." 'B-but wha-' Sona began, stopping only because of the stern, yet gentle look the man gave her, before grinning widely.

"So how about those noodles, huh? We can brainstorm about what to do next time we have to deal with Xin in bot la-" 'I told you not to mention thaaaaaat!'
