Chapter 43 summary

Tsunakawa calls Amou and we get Amou's flashback from before the timeskip. Amou approaches Doumeki, who got beaten up by Misumi's men for trying join the Doushinkai after getting kicked out of the Shinseikai. Doumeki asks if it's stupid to hope to be in the same yakuza world as Yashiro, even if he has to change. Amou says it's stupid to just hope, and that he'll have to be more underhanded and determined. Later, Doumeki comes back and offers Amou 200 million yen that he somehow stole from a different yakuza group and then doubled. Amou sees his resolve and brings him to Tsunakawa.

Back in the present, Yashiro and Nanahara settle into Tsunakawa's guest house. Yashiro and Doumeki talk in the changing room while Yashiro takes his clothes off for a bath. Yashiro misses the door handle because of his bad eye, and Doumeki stops him from falling. Yashiro gets in the bath and Doumeki stands in the changing room, and they talk about Tsunakawa's group and the former Matsubara group. Yashiro says Ryuuzaki must be having a lot of sex in prison, Doumeki says he would only do it with Yashiro. He's about to call him "Boss" but switches to Yashiro-san. Yashiro's phone rings and he says he'll look at it later. Doumeki sees that the caller is Inami and gets mad. He comments about Yashiro still sleeping with anyone. Yashiro retorts that he wouldn't change in just 4 years and Doumeki agrees that he wouldn't. Yashiro remembers that Doumeki did change to be a yakuza, and says good for him. He gets out of the bath and tells Doumeki to stop blocking the way. Doumeki says he won't listen to him because he's not his subordinate anymore. He asks if Yashiro hasn't changed, then would he have sex with him too?
