  1. Last time, the adventure began.

  3. The adventuring party gathered up their supplies and charged past the undead in Silverkeep, out into the wilderness. Along the way, they were assisted by Shar here and there, and has mostly advanced forth. There was an ambush during the first night, but nothing too serious - Recelle even obtained a necklace that lets her summon and command a water elemental temporarily.

  5. But now... It's the beginning of the second day, the sky's glowing somewhat dimly, and you've covered 15 miles thus far in the jourey. Remaining 85 to go. You are approaching what appears to be a valley in the Forest Sea of Genneya. There used to be a stream cutting down the valley, but it dried up a few decades ago, leaving a path of dry stream bed making a "road" in middle of the forest. Shadow presumed that this is one of the safer path to take.

  8. [8:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shar is strangely missing still, but there are no hoard of zombies chasing after you, so that must be a good sign. Hopefully the lack of animated worm people is ALSO a good sign.

  19. [8:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The wyverns that is with Alicia yawns lazily, scratching themselves with their claws, their stinger tail swishing back and forth lazily.

  21. [8:10 PM] Runic: Lexon awakens, grabs a meal of cured meat and ale from his cart, and begins to munch down, feeding tiny amounts to his new pet, an ochre jelly now residing in a cup as its new home
  22. [8:11 PM] Mizuki: Alicia starts setting up her horse and throws some food to the wyverns - "Morning everyone, we shouldn't waste the daylight, lets move as soon as we can"
  23. [8:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There's a slurp sound as the ooze devours the pieces of meat and starts its digestion.
  24. [8:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The wyverns devour the food.
  25. [8:11 PM] Bot Fodder: John is unused to so much travel. Or, erm, 'animals'.
  26. [8:12 PM] Bot Fodder: "Uh... does someone need to walk them?"
  27. [8:13 PM] Runic: Lexon pets his new pet with two fingers as it absorbs the ale and meat
  28. [8:13 PM] Mizuki: "We still have 85 miles to go, that's plenty of walk, I'd say." - She said with a smile
  29. [8:13 PM] Runic: As both finish with their meals he straps the cup to his waist and begins to feed the horses with feed in preperation
  30. [8:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ooze did not respond - or try to devour your fingers, Lexon. That's probably a good sign - or just that it's been fed recently.
  31. [8:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shadow stretches a bit, prepping for the day.
  32. [8:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Recelle looks around, preparing her musket, nervous. "Uh. Morning. I am not used to forests being this quiet."
  33. [8:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "That's because it normally isn't." Shadow replies, playing with Doomwing's wings. Who protests and screeches loudly.

  35. [8:18 PM] Mizuki: "That's true" - Said Alicia as she finished feeding her horse and got something to eat herself - "I feel like this place is way quieter during the day. That's pretty strange."
  36. [8:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shadow frowns, "Well, simply put... There's no more birds to sing songs or squirrels to pick nut from trees."
  37. [8:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "If any didn't turn into undead post Orcus Tragedy, they would've ended up in their former friend's stomachs."
  38. [8:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Hopefully a few survived, I do love me some squirrels." Shadow finishes, equipping Doomwing on his shoulder. (?)

  40. [8:22 PM] Bot Fodder: "Wow, that's depressing," John laments.
  41. [8:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (... From an evolution point of view, animals post Orcus Tragedy would likely be resistent to undead reanimation or somehow have ways to flee from undead efficiently - as would the humanoids. A strange path, but one strangely fitting in worlds like these.)

  43. [8:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Hey, I am sure at least five percent or so of the animals made it." Shadow shrugs, pulling a random number out of the thin air.

  45. [8:23 PM] Bot Fodder: He contemplates whistling as they march to lighten the mood, but his senior officer had told him not to.
  46. [8:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Yes, yes, five percent rule..." Tot mutters something under his breath.
  47. [8:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Isn't it usually five second rules?" Recelle adds, to which Shadow scoffs.

  65. [8:29 PM] Mizuki: Alicia tries to look for any worms, hoping to learn something about them.
  66. [8:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shadow blinks. "I noticed nothing."
  67. [8:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle nods. "Ah, well, uh. You were kinda on the floor and all that, but a few disintegrated, yes."
  68. [8:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are unable to find much on the worms, Alicia - whatever positive energy burst Shadow emitted melted those worms away like snow in the sun.

  70. [8:31 PM] Faerie: Inexplicably, Razmik catches up to the group from somewhere else, on foot. Wow!
  71. [8:32 PM] Mizuki: "Well, it was probably nothing... " - She said getting up, wondering why no more worms showed up during the rest of the night.
  72. [8:33 PM] Faerie: ''Morning'', he addresses nobody in particular. He asks casually, ''Rested well?'', fumbling around with his pack.

  74. [8:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "If you are concerned, maybe have Raz take a look? There's likely a fiend cat around, though." Recelle points to Tot.

  76. [8:34 PM] Faerie: ''Worms... like the work people we saw yesterday? Those struck me as more fey than fiendish, if anything.''
  77. [8:36 PM] Faerie: Razmik pauses, scratching his nose for a moment before setting eyes on Doomwing. Doomwind. Then looks up at the sky, pensive

  79. [8:37 PM] Faerie: ''We'd be right to be concerned about them, though. We have got no idea what those things were. Speaking of!''
  80. [8:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The valley ahead is a long winding path cutting toward north-northeast, which have a good naturally paved road from the previously dried up riverbed. The horses would be able to make good progress on these valley roads. The valley wall itself isn't too steep either, at a slope of around 60ish degree, scaling up to 20 or so feet. It has the additional advantage of granting you some cover from possible prying eyes in the area.

  84. [8:41 PM] Bot Fodder: John thinks the roads will be fine. I mean, they're not really expecting to meet any trouble -on- them, right? Zombies can't tell roads from unpaved ground.

  89. [8:42 PM] Bot Fodder: John looks around at the vast amount of nothing occupying the party in transit. "Sure. What is it?"

  91. [8:43 PM] Faerie: ''Well...'' Not Shadow, probably. Too much of a loose cannon, and it's not like he'd listen to 'authority' on such m- ahem.
  92. ''It's just, I was thinking at night and something hit me''
  93. [8:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Oh, you alright?" Recelle says, obviously in jest.

  95. [8:44 PM] Faerie: Then he goes past some of the party's previous combat experience, sort of hinting at a pattern.
  96. ''Have you ever noticed how we usually wade into problems with no plan whatsoever?'' :sadpopo:
  97. [8:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Heroes don't follow plans, they just... Uh... Fuck up." Shadow says, as Orcusbane rattles in protest.

  99. [8:45 PM] Faerie: ''Now, I know and trust you people enough to know you've got my back if anything goes south'', he continues noting Shadow's response. Likewise, Razmik wasn't good at not fucking up!
  100. [8:45 PM] Runic: "That's not entirely true, we tend to have some sort of plan when we have time for it"
  101. [8:46 PM] Bot Fodder: "Not at all! Like, what about the time we fought those zombies! The plan was to stick them until they were dead again, right? I'm pretty sure that's the right plan for zombies."

  103. [8:46 PM] Mizuki: "No plans?" - Asked Alicia confused - "At least, since I lost my memory, I think we plan well enough."
  104. [8:47 PM] Faerie: ''But yes. Just in case we aren't clear, you can count of me to have your backs as well. That's just common sense, right? Still, we don't give battle a lot of thought, everything considered...''
  105. [8:47 PM] Mizuki: "Except for the last night, I mean" - She added - "There isn't much to think right now, really. We just gotta keep moving."
  106. [8:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle pauses for a moment, and brings out a small bounded book, titled "Mixed Tactics General Guide". "Uh..." She flips through the pages. "...." And then close it. "Nevermind."
  107. [8:48 PM] Faerie: ''Hmm'', Raz scratches his head looking at Alicia, not entirely sure what had happened /before/ she lost her memories and what had happened after.

  109. [8:49 PM] Mizuki: "It's not like we can plan anything without information."
  110. [8:49 PM] Faerie: ''Oh, what's that book, Recelle? It actually reminded me of something: you folks remember our time as a battalion?''
  111. [8:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well. It's from the orc side, so it goes something on the line of..." Recelle pauses. "Charge in with number and hit as hard as you can, as many as you can."
  112. [8:50 PM] Faerie: ''Well, that's the issue -'', Razmik turns to Alicia again. ''That's good, and mostly true, but how to put it? I meant more in the tactical sense... y'know, taking steps to make sure we fight more like a single, cohesive unit.''

  114. [8:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "You mean things like 'Delay until a spell trigger, then everyone fire upon affected target'?" Shadow adds.
  115. [8:52 PM] Faerie: So, Razmik's point is, playing more to the party's collective strengths based on what everyone's able to handle.
  116. ''Precisely!'', he finally smiles at Shadow

  118. [8:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I have a musket." Recelle shrugs.
  119. "I have Doomwing." Shadow adds helpfully.

  122. [8:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Azura puts a paw on her forehead.

  124. [8:54 PM] Faerie: ''I've been noticing Alicia's magics getting a bit more outrageous: we don't want her to end up blowing someone up, right?''. He then tries to cover up the rude-sounding remark ''With all due respect, I mean. It could happen to anyone!''

  136. [8:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Doomwing puts a paw to his forehead, much like Azura as well. The familiars may appreciate headache cures.

  166. [9:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... The cobblestone and dried earth beneath your mount's feet feels even, for once. The horses seem to have a good time. The wyverns are flying slow and low, but keeping up with the horses without too much issues. Meanwhile, Tot occasionally halts the party and turns invisible to scout around in the air. Despite what Tot's been saying, it seems that he's been helping out more and more on his own initiative.

  172. Planescape Escape plans, too. Razmik felt not everyone in the company would be particularly fond of discussing retreats, though.

  220. [9:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: A sleek, thin dragon, covered in black scales, and spots of oozing and rotten flesh, hovers a few dozen feet above the party, circling around, darting in and out of the valley, cackling. "I... Found you...!"
