  1. <Vigilant_GM> IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
  2. <Vigilant_GM> Through the aquila's viewports, Port Restful and Lord Pyre's palace are visible several miles away. The displays on the cockpit show clearance codes, as well as indicators marking the locations of Anzaforr shuttles landing and ascending, filled with pilgrims and the honored dead of the Sector.
  3. <Karpath> +Palace is in sight Baird, eta 10 mins.+
  4. <Baird> +Understood. I trust you and the Reclaimator not to make too many outrageous modifications to this thing while you're gone.+
  5. <Karpath> +Yea, I promise not to have the ship painted Crimson while we are gone.+
  6. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +It is a simple task ahead of us I foresee no concerns+
  7. <Baird> +Glad to hear it. And to clarify, don't paint it at all. We don't need any artistic flair attracting attention.+
  8. <Vigilant_GM> The aquila is flown into a final approach. Engines reducing intensity, and wings extending back to provide added drag and lift, the descent is smooth. A soft bouncing feeling, and the dust kicked up along the viewports is the only indication of a landing for those within.
  9. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +I shall also check myself into the rougetraders medical bay while you arrange the politics+
  10. <Karpath> +Ok, good luck to you all. Ave Imperator.+
  11. <Baird> +See that you do. Don't want you at half functionality. Ave Imperator.+
  12. <Vigilant_GM> The ramp opens up, to reveal the masses now flooding the roads out of Port Restful.
  13. <Vigilant_GM> Pilgrims from every walk of life, all corners of the Sector, descend from the heavens on Anzaforr's shuttles, having reached their destinations at last.
  14. <Tony> "From small time Investigations, to things I can't understand, to dealing with nobles.. quite the journey thus far."
  15. <Vigilant_GM> The roads are lines with intermittent patrols of Mounrful Guard, providing a silent and vigilant guide for the off-worlders to follow towards the Great Ossuaria.
  16. <Baird> "Alright let's get to the palace. No time to waste." Baird heads down the ramp and begins to move towards the nearest Warden he can see.
  17. <Vigilant_GM> "Move along, pilgrim," the Warden calls as the acolytes approach.
  18. * Thesse exits the vehicle.
  19. * Baird draws out the pendant of Lord Pyre. "Not pilgrims. Acquire transportation to the palace for myself and my companions. We have urgent business with the Lord of the Wake."
  20. * Nitrous follows the group
  21. * Tony walks off the ship taking a look around at the group of pilgrims before joining up with the party
  22. * Karpath waits for everyone that is exiting the Aquilla to disembark before closing the ramp for take off.
  23. <Vigilant_GM> "You're here for the conclave, I understand," the Warden nods, issuing orders for transportation.
  24. <Vigilant_GM> "You must hurry, the Eulogus have been gathered for some time now," he comments as a carriage arrives.
  25. <Baird> "I agree. Speed is of the essence. Make sure the yeoman knows." Baird nods towards the Warden.
  26. <Vigilant_GM> The Warden approaches the driver as he brings the carriage to a stop, and communicates the urgency of your needed arrival.
  27. * Karpath goes over the pretake off check while he waits for the group to leave the landing pad.
  28. <Vigilant_GM> The doors are opened.
  29. * Baird climbs within the carriage.
  30. <Vigilant_GM> "Clear the way!" the Warden shouts to his men as they block passage to the pilgrims.
  31. * Tony hops on with Baird and the party on the carriage
  32. * Thesse gets into the carriage.
  33. * Karpath seeing that the platform is clear, he begins takeoff and plots a course for The Oath Unspoken.
  34. <Vigilant_GM> With all but Nitrous on board, the carriage begins to move.
  35. * Nitrous is in the carriage
  36. <Vigilant_GM> "Clear the way!" the driver calls, urging his beasts forward.
  37. <Vigilant_GM> Unfortunately, teleportation was not possible at this time, and so Nitrous remained on foot. Like a peasant.
  38. * Reclaimator_Almarax smiles to himself watching the spectacle through his optical mechandrite as the prepares to take off.
  39. * Nitrous steals a horse and rides behind.
  40. * Reclaimator_Almarax makes sure to hit save on the recording.
  41. <Vigilant_GM> Though not as speedy as the first arrival, the crowds eventually learn to disperse well ahead of the carriage, allowing the Throne Cell to reach Pyre's Palace.
  42. <Baird> Baird disembarks once the carriage rolls to a stop and begins moving towards the front doors of the palace.
  43. * Nitrous disembarks the horse and follows the group ready for their assignment
  44. <Vigilant_GM> The thumps of an equine's hoves on loose dirt follow, Nitrous adeptly bringing the beast to a halt at the front of the palace.
  45. <Nitrous> "You forgat about me."
  46. * Tony he looks to Nitrious for a moment in disbelief as he gets off the carriage to join up with Baird
  47. * Baird calls to Nitrous as he moves away from the carriage. "Nice of you to join us!"
  48. <Vigilant_GM> The palace, you notice, is significantly better-guarded now.
  49. * Baird continues towards the front doors drawing the pendant of Lord Pyre into his palm incase the group is stopped by the guards.
  50. <Vigilant_GM> Without hesitation, the doors are unlocked, and opened before the Throne Agents. Once inside, a thin pale man dressed in the simple habit of a monk approaches.
  51. <Vigilant_GM> "What business have you here?"
  52. <Baird> "We are here to speak with Lord Pyre on an urgent matter." Baird holds up the pendant hoping to forestall any further questioning.
  53. <Vigilant_GM> "I see, I understand. You are here to defend Lord Pyre, then?"
  54. <Baird> "If necessary, then yes."
  55. <Vigilant_GM> "Very well," he nods. "Please, leave all items unnecessary to the proceedings here, and follow me to the conclave."
  56. * Baird doesn't disarm as he feels his weapons may be very necessary in the upcoming moments. "Lead on."
  57. <Vigilant_GM> "Is this Pyre's notion of a joke?"
  58. <Vigilant_GM> "Disarm, sir."
  59. <Thesse> "This is an urgent matter."
  60. <Thesse> "We need to speak to him, now."
  61. <Thesse> "Today has been a troubling series of events. But I am going to keep it simple: We are not disarming, you will not ask us any further questions, and you WILL take us to see Lord Pyre."
  62. <Vigilant_GM> "Urgent indeed. Lord Pyre has much to answer for," he comments with an accusatory tone. "I will not, however, escort you to the chambers if you intend to violate the sacred conclave with instruments of death and violence."
  63. <Baird> "We violate nothing, and these are instruments of protection and if necessary subduing. We answer to a higher authority than that of Lord Pyre and this involves the transgressions of your whole world. Not just Lord Pyre. Now. You. Will. Escort. Us. Inside."
  64. <Vigilant_GM> "They shall know I do this under duress, barbarian," he barks back before turning and contiuing down the hall.
  65. <Vigilant_GM> As you continue onward, you can hear the echoing voices of the chamber, like a muffled roar.
  66. * Tony pokes Baird and nods as he takes a turn away from the party
  67. * Nitrous attempts to dissapear
  68. <Vigilant_GM> When you reach the gilded doors, the friar picks up a weighted baton from the hands of a statue, and strikes the floor-board three times.
  69. <Vigilant_GM> The roaring voices inside subside.
  70. <Vigilant_GM> Then, the doors are unlocked, and opened by another friar in simple robes.
  71. * Baird strides inside the room and past the the friar.
  72. <Vigilant_GM> Within the vast chamber, a tiered horse-shoe of seating is filled with hundreds of the uppoer-echelon of the Eulogus Askelline. Lord Pyre stands in the center, surrounded by all in attendance.
  73. <Vigilant_GM> All eyes are on the arrivals.
  74. <Vigilant_GM> "What is the meaning of this interruption?" an enraged voice echoes through the chamber.
  75. <Vigilant_GM> "A bellicose, unsanctioned group, ordered here by Pyre himself!" the friar who escorted you replies.
  76. <Vigilant_GM> "Yet another indicator of Pyre's overreach against the order, then!" a third voice pipes up.
  77. <Baird> "Certainly not ordered here by Pyre. All I said was that I had urgent matters to discuss with him. For now you will all be silent and harken to my words. Lord Pyre included as this involves you all!"
  78. <Vigilant_GM> The interrogator's voice carries to every corner of the chamber, its echoes all that rings as the Eulogus priesthood falls silent.
  79. <Baird> "First and foremost, the chamber will be resealed as this matter is only to be discussed by the upper echelon of the priesthood."
  80. <Vigilant_GM> Murmurs begin to pick up, becoming louder and louder.
  81. * Baird appropriates Thesse's laud hailer. "I didn't stutter friar! Seal this chamber. And the rest of you will remain silent until given leave to speak!"
  82. * Thesse is slightly annoyed and whispers to Baird "You could have asked for Char's help."
  83. <Vigilant_GM> Seeing no support from the high priests, the friar turns and closes the chamber doors behind him.
  84. * Baird whispers back. "My apologies sister. I lost my temper with having to yell over them."
  85. <Vigilant_GM> Away from the chamber, Nitrous and Tony sneak their way past the palace guards, finding their way into Lord Pyre's private chambers.
  86. <Baird> "Now then. First and foremost I am here as an agent of The Emperor's Most Holy Inquisition." Baird raises his rosette into the air. "So believe me when I say that this is a sensitive matter concerning your entire world."
  87. <Vigilant_GM> The murmurs pick up again.
  88. * Baird unsnaps the holster of his Sacristan. "Did I give anyone leave to speak?" Baird projects his voice in a low threatening rasp.
  89. <Vigilant_GM> Once again, the priesthood falls silent, the wheezing breaths of a particularly old and heavyset Rector the only sound carried across the echoing chamber.
  90. <Vigilant_GM> In Pyre's private chambers, Tony finds a series of peculiar charts of an unusually smooth and polished quality.
  91. <Baird> "Now then. An infection of your order has occurred. How deep it ran or still runs is still pending further investigation. You will also not be privy to all information concerned. But what I will tell you is this. Anyone who is apart of a cult known as the Inheritors is a traitor and a heretic. They are responsible for the smuggling issues, subversion of imperial law, communing and summoning warp entities and many other crimes."
  92. <Baird> "And before you begin speaking of heresies for even suggesting such a thing, the evidence is already clear on these points. In fact if not for our intervention all of the pilgrims and the Great Ossuary surrounding the tomb of Saint Merusaad would have been destroyed from orbit."
  93. * Tony combs over the charts trying to make out more.
  94. <Vigilant_GM> The charts are arcane, made of a parchment-thin material, yet curiously firm. The charts mark out certain areas of the catacombs, along with annotations written in strangely formal Gothic, and markings in of clearly xenos nature.
  95. <Baird> "As the Arch-Rector himself seemed to be leading at least that particular group of the cult and if the cult can corrupt someone so high in your hierarchy...it makes me wonder how many others pollute these sacred chambers with their filth?"
  96. <Vigilant_GM> "Blasphemy!" a priest rises, pointing a finger at Baird.
  97. * Tony flicks on his Psyocculum and gives it a double check
  98. <Vigilant_GM> Lord Pyre looks down at the floor, a defeated look about him.
  99. * Baird quick draws the Sacristan and blows apart the priest.
  100. <Vigilant_GM> Lord Pyre looks down at the floor, a defeated look about him.
  101. * Baird lowers the smoking pistol. "Now. As I was saying."
  102. <Vigilant_GM> A dreadful, dead silence follows. Not even breathing can be heard.
  103. * Baird continues on as if he hadn't been interrupted. "Regardless of Lord Pyre's station at the end of this Conclave there will be reforms. Changes to the Eulogus Askelline. Not only to root out existing and remaining filth, but to help prevent any such incidents from occurring in the future. If anyone object....then the far simpler method is to do away with the entire Eulogus Askelline and subsequently the Mournful Guard."
  104. <Baird> "Now I will allow calm discussion about suggested changes and solutions towards the reform of these organizations.
  105. <Vigilant_GM> "Brothers," he turns to look up at the rows of priests.
  106. * Tony puts a thumbs up to Nitrious as he uses his pict recorder to view over the charts to record them, then turns it off and activates the Signal Jammer
  107. * Nitrous gives a thumbs up
  108. <Vigilant_GM> "I, too, was in the dark about the true nature of their mission. But in light of the circumstances I can only assert that I have been vindicated in permitting their operations. Our ever-dying Emperor illuminated me in a most desperate time, this much is clear, even as I acted without understanding."
  109. <Tony> "We got what we came for, let us bail to somewhere safe so we can deliver the information."
  110. * Nitrous nods
  111. <Nitrous> whispering to Tony, "You see that too?"
  112. <Vigilant_GM> "It is our duty to ensure that we work with the Inquisition in ridding our Order of the corruption being described to us. For this, we will have to act as one."
  113. * Tony flips his Psyocculum back on
  114. <Vigilant_GM> "Explain to us, Pyre, why it is that this corruption has taken among our ranks. Why it is that we should trust you not to fail again!"
  115. * Baird interjects with one word only in response to the shout. "Calmly."
  116. <Vigilant_GM> The Rector nods back to Baird and resumes his seat.
  117. <Vigilant_GM> Before Pyre can respond, however, the man addresses Baird.
  118. <Vigilant_GM> "Why do you spare him?"
  119. * Tony flips off the Psyocculum and grabs the Signal Jammer
  120. * Tony Whispers "Grabs the charts I will keep a eye out."
  121. * Nitrous starts staching the charts.
  122. * Nitrous flashes a thumbs up when he finishes
  123. * Tony draws his Suppressed Autopistol and slowly backs to the doors keeping eyes on Nitrious until he passes him.
  124. <Baird> "I haven't decided to spare anyone. As I said investigations are ongoing. If he is guilty then he will receive the previous Arch-Rector's fate. But my organization is handling that personally. For now let us focus on idea and solutions for the reform of the organizations."
  125. <Baird> "I would prefer to avoid the alternative."
  126. * Nitrous tactfully moves with Tony
  127. * Tony backs away making his exit joining Nitrous
  128. <Vigilant_GM> "With respect, if the Inquisition operates among the shadows on holy Thaur, why was this allowed to fester?"
  129. <Vigilant_GM> All eyes fix on the Rector.
  130. <Baird> "We operate now on holy Thaur. With our coming we root out this heresy. It is a more important question that how did know of you notice this beneath your noses when we arrived from another world for it had spread that far and attracted notice."
  131. <Baird> "Perhaps you are all complicit. For now that I think of it it seems unlikely for it to have spread off-world and escaped the notice of such holy men as yourselves."
  132. * Baird smiles widely at the Rector.
  133. <Vigilant_GM> "Brothers, please. If there is fault, then you are right to place it on my shoulders," Pyre interjects.
  134. <Vigilant_GM> "The Inquisition performs its charge in arriving here. In killing Broth-" he interrupts himself for a moment. "In destroying the heretic Renthear, and in seeking our Order to reform. We are unworthy of this intervention, this new opportunity."
  135. <Baird> "Yet it is given. Do not squander this opportunity."
  136. <Vigilant_GM> Bypassing the palace guards, Tony and Nitrous make their way back on the outside through a side door.
  137. <Tony> "Lets find a place away from here, real quick."
  138. * Nitrous nods in agreement
  139. <Tony> +Baird, Me and Nitrious got you an update.+
  140. <Vigilant_GM> "Perhaps," Pyre says, turning to face Baird and Sister Thesse, "the Inquisition could guide in our reform?"
  141. <Baird> "I am here to supervise and make sure the reform and transition is carried out. Sister Thesse is formerly of your order she will make herself available and assist you in this."
  142. * Baird steps out of the center of the room towards the door and answers his microbead quietly. +Go ahead.+
  143. <Tony> +We found some charts revealing areas of the Catacombs here on Thaur, are listed as off limits, with some Fancy Gothic, and markings that look similar to the ones that Eldar we met.+
  144. <Tony> +We have a Pict Recording and the Charts themselves, but I have a hunch, we were followed.+
  145. <Baird> +Nothing inherently damning. Have Velam look them over and report back.+
  146. <Tony> +Isn't he back at the ship?+
  147. <Baird> +Call yourself a ride. We need more information.+
  148. <Nitrous> +Understood.+
  149. <Tony> +Got it+
  150. <Tony> "Well you got a link with the Old man on the ship right Nitrious?"
  151. <Tony> +We are going to need a Vox Caster..+
  152. <Nitrous> "Only the boss does at this range I think."
  153. <Baird> +I'll take care of it.+
  154. <Baird> ++Gant. Karpath.++
  155. * Tony he looks to Nitrious
  156. <Tony> "Want to grab a bite while we wait?"
  157. <Nitrous> "Starving."
  158. <Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Almarax here Gant and Karpath are out++
  159. * Tony go off to grab some food. while he and Nitrious wait
  160. <Baird> ++Recall one of them. Tony and Nitrous require expedient passage to the ship. Acquire a shuttle from Anzaforr if necessary. Time is of the essence Reclaimator.++
  161. Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Understood++
  162. <Thesse> "From my experience with traveling from worlds to worlds and talking to many of our brethren in different clovens, there was one thing they share, a strong central Ecclesiarchy. Our people are scattered and divided, some with unusual beliefs and some with heretical intentions. Corpus Brethren are allowed to feast without anyone to stop them. Our Mournful Guard was corrupted by a cult because they were seperated, learned
  163. <Thesse> falsehoods, and worships daemons! I have seen how they have fallen.
  164. <Thesse> I purpose they reorganize themselves around the Ecclesiarchy. We may keep our beliefs and respecting the dead, but we must also preach the values of living under the Imperium laws. To root out the nonbelievers, the heretics, the mutants before they have an opportunity to spread their ideals. We should embrace some technology on Thaur to help the Eulogus Askelline to help communicate and travel vast distances easily. We can use a
  165. <Thesse> Rogue Trader or any of the other Imperium’s sources to help with this."
  166. <Tony> "What was your first assignment like? Cause I doubt a planet like that has Gangers to begin with."
  167. * Baird rejoins Thesse as she begins laying out the plans of reform.
  168. <Nitrous> "Pirates raided a supply ship."
  169. <Nitrous> "We were the nearest response unit."
  170. <Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Interrogator coordinates required for pickup++
  171. * Baird provides the coordinates.
  172. * Reclaimator_Almarax forwards the coordinates.
  173. <Tony> "Mine was more dealing with a riot, in the lower hives. let me tell you it was a shitshow back then, compared to now with everything."
  174. <Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Pickup enroute++
  175. <Baird> +Tony. Nitrous. Prepare for extraction. Shuttle en route to your location.+
  176. <Nitrous> +Understood.+
  177. <Tony> +Got it+
  178. * Tony as he continues to drink his water
  179. * Nitrous continues munching on his starch
  180. <Vigilant_GM> "Very well. With the Inquisition's guidance, I task this conlave to enact the reforms required for our Order's continued service to our Ever-dying Emperor. Are there any dissentions among our number?"
  181. <Vigilant_GM> None of the gathered priests speaks up against the initiative.
  182. <Vigilant_GM> "By acclamation, this Conclave is hereby gathered for the purpose of the Eulogus reforms," Pyre says with solemnity. "We gather here tomorrow to commence our work. May Hig divine light illuminate our path."
  183. * Baird nods in satisfaction.
  184. <Vigilant_GM> The floor board is banged several times by the door-guarding friar.
  185. <Vigilant_GM> The assembled clergymen rise from their seats and converse among themselves, some taking exceptional care to avoid the dead Rector's carcass as they work their way down.
  186. <Vigilant_GM> Pyre seems exhausted, though somehow triumphant.
  187. <Vigilant_GM> "I suppose the value of my seal is now minimized," he comments approaching Baird.
  188. <Baird> "So it would seem." Baird withdraws Lord Pyre's pendant from his pockets and holds it out to him to take back.
  189. <Vigilant_GM> Lord Pyre takes it.
  190. <Vigilant_GM> "May I ask your name? Your true identity?"
  191. <Baird> "I could give you a name Lord Pyre, but there would be no way of knowing if it was true or not. Baird will suffice I think if you wish to call me something."
  192. <Baird> "For now we will take our leave. Sister Thesse will sit in on the proceedings and assure things go smoothly tomorrow. Have a good evening Lord Pyre. Ave Imperator."
  193. <Vigilant_GM> "Ave."
  194. * Baird turns and heads outside towards the Arvus Lighter.
  195. * Karpath sees Baird and Thesse arrive and lowers the ramp.
  196. * Baird walks up the ramp of the transport and looks around at the assembled acolytes. "Everyone strap in and let's get back into orbit."
  197. * Thesse enters the Lighter and takes a seat.
  198. <Karpath> "Welcome aboard." He hands the Pict Recorder to Baird after he had looked through its content, unsure of what was on it.
  199. <Tony> "By the sounds of things you had a rough time in there Baird."
  200. <Karpath> With Everyone on board, he powers up the ship and takes off from the landing pad.
  201. <Nitrous> "Still got the charts on me."
  202. <Tony> "Best keep it safe for our resident old man, we got the Pict Recording we can show."
  203. <Nitrous> "Aye."
  204. <Karpath> "Well sounds like all you had a fun time."
  205. <Baird> "Just straightening out the local ecclesiarchy. Nothing too rough."
  206. <Tony> "Me and Nitrious heard the straighten out alright."
  207. <Nitrous> "Whatever get's the job done."
  208. <Baird> "I tend to lose my temper when I get interrupted. Especially when what I'm saying is for their benefit. But it's taken care of."
  209. <Tony> "Anything we need to aware of that isn't the normal bickering? from the locals?"
  210. * Nitrous hands a shock bolt back to Baird, "Didn't need this after all."
  211. <Baird> "Most of them seem to blame Lord Pyre. Lord Pyre is happy he wasn't robbed of his position. They agreed to a reform with the guidance of sister Thesse. That's more or less the situation." Baird looks at the bolt then at Nitrous. "Just keep it. You never know."
  212. * Karpath continues to guide the Arvus on a course back two the Oath Unspoken and the group talks.
  213. * Nitrous nods
  214. <Thesse> "Overall, it went better I thought it would."
  215. <Tony> "Well I don't think me and Nitrious were alone when we got the information."
  216. <Vigilant_GM> The shuttle's pre-approved flight route guides Karpath back to its landing platform with a primitive guidance system.
  217. <Tony> "You seen it as well right? in the corner of our eyes."
  218. * Tony looks to Nitrious
  219. <Nitrous> "Yeah."
  220. <Tony> "There was no Warp Presence or anything."
  221. <Baird> "And did it follow you out of the room? Out of the palace? Is it in the shuttle?"
  222. <Vigilant_GM> Yes.
  223. * Karpath guilds the ship smoothly again on the path into the Hanger of the Oath Unspoken. The ship sets down and he then powers down.
  224. <Vigilant_GM> Forgive me, Interrogator. Poor attempt at humor.
  225. <Vigilant_GM> I have intercepted an astropathic message from the Oath Unspoken's choir. The Captain intends to leave the system in a fortnight.
  226. * Nitrous prepares to exit the ship
  227. * Baird begins rubbing his temples. It's alright this time Mordecai. Can you at least direct your sense and make sure it isn't here. I appreciate the update. Thank you.
  228. * Karpath then makes his way out of the Arvus and heads back to the Landing Pad with the Aquilla.
  229. <Tony> "Well we kept an eye out, but nothing beyond that room. Believe me it put us on edge.""
  230. * Tony gets off the Lander and makes his way to get some much needed rest
  231. <Nitrous> "I know that's gonna bite us in the ass later."
  232. <Baird> "It usually does."
  233. * Nitrous heads back to the aquila for rest
  234. <Tony> "Well that can wait, I would like to sleep after that long day."
  235. <Vigilant_GM> A disturbing emptiness is all I sense, Interrogator. Do remain at some distance from the damned.
  236. <Tony> "But I will be sure to pass on the Charts to Velam, before I do"
  237. * Reclaimator_Almarax proud of his work, rewards himself with a trip to the medicae.
  238. * Baird hangs back slightly to stay out of Tony's area of effect. Aside from him Mordecai.
  239. * Karpath makes his way up to the Aquilla after arriving at the landing pad and checks over all the modifications to the ship as well as the resupply.
  240. * Karpath finds the Servitors still hard at work.
  241. <Vigilant_GM> No unwanted presences, Interrogator.
  242. * Nitrous finds a seat and rests near the aquilla.
  243.
  244. <Vigilant_GM> IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
  245. <Karpath> "So Alrax, how you holding up?" he ask the Tech Preist as they make their way off planet.
  246. <Reclaimator_Almarax> "My injuries are numb at this point, they are not impacting my ability to function."
  247. <Karpath> "Well thats good, hopefully the ships med bay can help you with your wounds as well."
  248. <Reclaimator_Almarax> "I am eagar to work on something technical so I intend to fulfil our tasks before attending, but yes some skin grafts may be required." Alrax states as his utility mechandrite idly picks at a peeling section of skin on his forearm.
  249. * Karpath turns to Gant, "Also forgot to mention, nice work on that strafing run to take out that man earlier."
  250. <Vigilant_GM> "Easy enough with stationary targets," he shrugs.
  251. <Karpath> "True."
  252. * Karpath check over the ships instruments and contacts the Oath Unspoken for landing clearance.
  253. <Vigilant_GM> ++Oath Unspoken approach. We have received your request. Please follow approach vectors as provided, and maintain current speed to avoid collision with other lighters.++
  254. <Karpath> ++Understood, following appropriate approach vector now.++
  255. * Karpath guides that Aquilla along the path as the ship makes its way to the Oath Unspoken.
  256. <Vigilant_GM> ++Follow the Arvus through the blast doors in front of you. Proceed to landing pad L-4, and await maglock activation before powering down.++
  257. <Karpath> ++Understood, making corse for Landing pad L-4.++ He the pilots the Aquilla through the blast doors to the landing pad and make a smooth landing onto landing pad L-4. Once on the ground, the maglocks engage a few moments later and he begins the power down for the ship.
  258. <Karpath> "Well we are here Alrax." he says as he makes his way down from the cockpit to the main bay of the ship.
  259. <Reclaimator_Almarax> "It is good to be back in the void of space, now, let us see if they readied those maintenance tools we requisitioned."
  260. <Vigilant_GM> A small procession of six servitors approaches the aquila, carrying a variety of tools and materials.
  261. <Karpath> "Aye, hopefully this will go well so we can get this ship ready for later upgrades as well."
  262. * Karpath opens the ramp and makes his way out of the Aquilla to check on the tools and materials the servitors are bringing.
  263. * Reclaimator_Almarax heads out of the ship. "Ah perfect".
  264. Reclaimator_Almarax> "Its not to say these panels could take a direct hit from a lascannon undamaged but the ship will be much more capable with these."
  265. <Karpath> "True, this will do nicely."
  266. * Reclaimator_Almarax dismisses the cargo servitors and begins programming the maintanence equipped servitors with basic instruction routines to prep the exisiting windows for removeal, once the programs are executed the servitors roll up the ramp and begin work inside the shuttle.
  267. <Reclaimator_Almarax> "With some simple instuction sets the servitors can more than handle the busy work. I've programmed one to ping my comm bead once the windows are ready to be removed."
  268. * Karpath helps the tech priest with the task, doing what he can with his knowledge of Aeronautica ships.
  269. <Reclaimator_Almarax> "In the meantime I have some research to conduct for Baird"
  270. * Reclaimator_Almarax returns to the ship to begin work on Bairds proposed shock grenade.
  271. <Karpath> "Well good luck with that, I may paint the ship with some slightly lighter black stripes, not sure though."
  272. <Reclaimator_Almarax> "I choose to distance myself with any and all issues regarding the ships colour."
  273. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +A more serious suggestion I would have for you would be to have some 'rest and relaxation' while the servitors work, I'm sure this ship is well equipped in many ways+
  274. <Karpath> +Yea I will try to, let me know if you need anything more.+
  275. * Karpath he gets Gant before heading out to meet with some old flight buddies and to do some general resupplying for the ship.
  276. * Karpath has the supplies consisting of Water, Fuel, and even paint for touching up the ship sent over to Landing Pad L-4.
  277. * Reclaimator_Almarax hears his vox bleep indicating the servitors have finished prepping the shuttle. Almrax leaves his prototype shock grenade and begins aiding the servitors using his manipulator arm to remove the windows stacking them on one of the cargo pallets.
  278. * Reclaimator_Almarax he then begins the task of fitting the new reinforced windows noting that unlike the civilian windows they have a slight tint to them, betraying their status to knowledgable individuals, once they are set in place he then sets the servitors to work installing the appropriate rivets and seals before returning to his research.
  279. <Vigilant_GM> ++Gant. Karpath.++ It is the interrogator's voice over the aquila comms.
  280. * Reclaimator_Almarax heads to the comms to reply.
  281. <Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Almarax here Gant and Karpath are out++
  282. <Baird> ++Recall one of them. Tony and Nitrous require expedient passage to the ship. Acquire a shuttle from Anzaforr if necessary. Time is of the essence Reclaimator.++
  283. Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Understood++
  284. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +Karpath, Gant, one of you are to borrow another shuttle and go get Nitrous and Tony 'Time is of the essence'+
  285. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +Unsure if Baird informed Anzaforr of the need to borrow another shuttle+
  286. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +Good luck+
  287. * Reclaimator_Almarax returns to his workbench.
  288. * Karpath is talking with a few flight buddies when he recieves the message. +Unstood, will update you when we have one and are on route.+ Him and Gant head out to acquire a ship.
  289. * Karpath and Gant are lent a Arvus to go and pick up both Tony and Nitros, once on board he begins the preflight takeoff. +We have a ship and are about to leave, tell Baird we are in route and need cords for pickup.+
  290. <Reclaimator_Almarax> +Understood+
  291. * Karpath then informs the Oath Unspoken flight command for clearance for take off.
  292. <Reclaimator_Almarax> ++Interrogator coordinates required for pickup++
  293. <Vigilant_GM> ++Cleared for departure. Mind traffic near the bays, and upon atmospheric re-rentry.++
  294. * Reclaimator_Almarax forwards the coordinates.
  295. * Karpath checks over the coordinates and finishes up powering up the ship and takes off from the landing platform.
  296. * Karpath the ship takes of smoothly even with its chunkiness and makes way for the coordinates provided by Reclaimator.
  297. <Karpath> Some time after leaving the Oath Unspoken, Karpath guides the Arvus down to the coordinates and moves the ship for landing after contacting the port and getting clearance for landing.
  298. <Nitrous> "Rides getting here."
  299. <Nitrous> "I think."
  300. <Tony> "Hol up my friend"
  301. * Karpath brings the ship in for landing, and places the ship down on the platform.
  302. <Nitrous> +That you pilot?+
  303. <Karpath> +Yea, just landed.+
  304. * Tony gets up and walks out to have a look
  305. * Nitrous moves towards the lander.
  306. <Tony> +We don't see you.+
  307. <Nitrous> +We're approaching your location.+
  308. <Karpath> +I am at the near by landing platform, it was the closest I could get.+
  309. * Tony takes a look at the lander, and takes a second look, then follows Nitrous.
  310. * Nitrous get's close to the lander, +Open up.+
  311. * Karpath flips a switch and the ramp lowers.
  312. * Nitrous get's into the flyable toaster
  313. <Baird> +Don't take off.+
  314. <Baird> +Myself and sister Thesse will be joining you on your ascent.+
  315. <Karpath> +Oh, I though this was a hot extraction, not a cold one, will wait for you two.+
  316. * Tony heads on in and takes up a seat wherever he can find+
  317. * Nitrous takes a seats
  318. * Karpath flips the switch and has the ramp closed for the time being.
  319. <Karpath> "Welcome on board the Toaster."
  320. <Nitrous> "I know."
  321. <Tony> "Emperor, there has to be something to pass the time."
  322. <Tony> "Where did you find this Hab Block of a Lander?"
  323. <Karpath> "It was the best I could do, the Aquila is being refitted."
  324. <Karpath> "Also you could pass the time by checking over the ship if you want."
  325. <Tony> "Do I look like I know how these ships work?"
  326. <Karpath> "Nope, but there could be some toast around here."
  327. <Tony> "You know a few things about these Rogue Traders right?"
  328. <Karpath> "Yea."
  329. * Tony passes him the Pict Recorder
  330. <Tony> "See if you can figure out anything else from what we found.
  331. * Reclaimator_Almarax tinkering tinkering tinkering.
