  8. Sterling flies at all due speed throughout the dense, snowy forest, helmet clamped down shut over her face to keep out the snow as she scans through the trees in search of her target: a gargoyle. She shakes with baited anticipation, gripping her sword and shield in hoof as she soars.
  9.
  10. She scans left to right, noticing that as she flies through the forest, the winds and snow begin to pick up in intensity as she goes along, making it more difficult to see. In the distance she hears whinnying of horses, but pays it no mind as she focuses on her goal. "Where are you... bloody storm, why of all times did thou choose NOW to get in the way?"
  11. As she complains to herself, she sees a shadow among the white, a long sickly devilish tail streaking behind what appears to be a somewhat slower moving bat-shaped creature. Sterling grins from ear to ear, leaping at the wing with a sudden burst of speed to catch up.
  12.
  13. "THERE YOU ARE! If thou are not a gargoyle, you have but one moment to let me know!"
  14. The head turns around slightly, jaws slightly opening as it sees the sword coming for it. A low growl escapes his maw as he tries to swerve out of the way

  31. The sword slices through the gargoyle's wing, clanging off of it as though it had hit a pillar of solid ice but sending frozen chunks of it splattering along the ground. The blizzard continues to build in intensity around Sterling, but the white creature crash lands down in the snow, growling all the more loudly as it digs its way out of the snow it finds itself covered in and begins checking out its wing. Sterling lands a mere few meters away.
  32.
  33. The storm lightens up enough to show the creature's face: the Order of Eon's three-pronged symbol is etched into his face, a nearly pure white coat of fur covering the large devilish creature as he stares daggers at Sterling, who readies her sword for his advance.
  34.
  35. "Grrrrr..... you...... made a mistake......grrrr....."
  36.
  37. Sterling chuckles through the helmet, "Well, what luck! You are the gargoyle after all. This is so exciting, mine blade has never tasted your kind's blood on its steel before."
  38.
  39. Shima: "Grrrr...." The gargoyle lifts up his wing, watching the snow cover the slice she made into it. "My kind.... grrr.... does not BLEED, pony.... grrrrrr.... unlike you...." He extends a claw, teeth shown bare through the snow as Sterling hears the whinnying intensify in the background.
  40.
  41. "Go.... back.... now...... I do not have time for a mere morsel..."
  42.
  43. "HA!" Sterling mocks, readying her blade, "I am more than a morsel, monster. I am Sir Sterling the Masterful, Knight Errant of her Lady of the Sun Princess Celestia! What be your..."
  44.
  45. "ENOUGH!" The gargoyle shouts before reaching his claws forward, a strong gale of wind striking against Sterling as she shields her eyes from the sudden blistering cold.
  46.
  47. "W-wait! You didn't even state your name and lordship yet, you're dueling all wrong!" She screams as she burns up with fire, her white glow shining from behind the armor to fight the cold as she charges her foe.

  65. The burning sword slices through the gargoyle's abdomen, causing him to cry out in agony as he brings his claws forward to grip his chest. Fresh drops of hot water melt along the snow-covered ground as Sterling withdraws her blade from his chest, her body still glowing with the sun's heat as she giggles at the wetness on her blade. "Well, wilst thou look at that? You DO bleed!"
  66.
  67. "Grrrrrrrrr.... regret..... this...." The gargoyle holds his melting chest, an empty cavity where his heart should be revealed by Sterling's strike. Sterling looks on blinking in surprise, and is about to speak up before she feels the icy blow that the gargoyle summoned send her flying back slightly, having to flap her wings to combat it as she feels ice growing over her wings.
  68.
  69. She chatters, "Wh-what? C-cold? I-It wasn't this cold...."
  70.
  71. "Grrr.... it's about to become MUCH worse...." He leaps at her with a claw out stretched, icy-coverings all across it as Sterling lets her fire blaze on. She grits her teeth and swings
  72.

  90. Sterling's sword nearly finds its mark before the gargoyle shifts is claw out from the way at the last possible moment, instead gripping down hard on Sterling's sword arm as the ice that once covered his claw now extends rapidly across Sterling's forehoof, entrapping it in a solid block of ice from the sword hilt up to her shoulder.
  91.
  92. "GAAAAH!" Sterling shouts as the ice freezes her arm, the pain of the snow's bite intensified as her burning light goes out, the icy storm Glace called earlier further clouding up her vision and causing the ice to spread along her armor pieces.
  93. She drops to the ground in a heap of metal and ice, struggling to stand up as the ice of her frozen armor weighs her down. "S-s-s-st-still n-n-n-not that bad...."
  94.
  95. The gargoyle growls, eyes shining red through the blistering white winds. "Grrrr... your spirit.... grrr.... is refreshing. But you.... grrrr... have wasted enough of my time, morsel...." he extends his claw forward as Sterling tries to break the ice covering her hoof with her shield.
  96.

  112. The ice fails to give along Sterling's arm despite her shield continuously pounding into it, the icy claw of the gargoyle spreading a blue layer of cold along her helmet and onto Sterling's face as she shouts out for a moment before the helmet shatters, revealing her blonde mane to the icy winds as the snow continues to completely cover her armor from head to hoof.
  113.
  114. "N-n-n-n-no.... not... g-g-g-giving up...." Sterling wimpers as the cold spread along her body, her armor and legs nearly completely frozen by the spreading layer of ice that goes across her body. "P-p-p-p-pound.... C-c-c-c-c-code... I-I-I-I won't let you down...."
  115.
  116. >STERLING HP: 2 hits
  117. Her body lays motionless in the snow, her read coat nearly turned white by the spreading snow and ice as the gargoyle sneers at her.
  118.
  119. "Give up... grrrr.... face your death with dignity...."
  120.
  121. "T-the-there is no d-d-dignity in surrender...." she whimpers, trying to break the ice with all her remaining strength. "I-I-I am a knight of Equestria."
  122.
  123. The gargoye leans down, red eyes gleaming into Sterling's. "Why.... grrr... why fight so hard?"
  124.
  125. "M-my-my companions need m-me-me..."
  126.
  127. "Grrrrr... they USE you, fool. You.... grrrr... are but a dispensible tool. They threw you at me to slow me down.... grrrr... and even if you survive this, they would do it again." He sticks a claw on her muzzle, tapping on it, "They are no 'companions'.... grrr.. of yours. You are nothing..."

  144. "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR SHUT THY MOUTH!!!!!!!" Sterling's red hot burning form, shining as the sun and melting the snow off of her, breaking through as the gargoyle jumps back in surprise,
  145.
  146. "What..."
  147.
  148. She takes her sword, free of ice, and charges at the gargoyle through the wind and snow, "If I give my life here, it is for my friends! For nobility! For chivalry! For HONOR!"
  149.
  150. She swings, "Thoust dare mock the integrity of a knight?! I am not nothing! I am Red Sterling, and I am your opponent! FIGHT ME!"

  165. The sword makes contact with the gargoyle's claw, only this time, the fire does not lose to the cold. The searing blade carves through his claw in twain, splintering down the middle as the hot blade destroys the arm he meant to catch her sword with. Sterling flies to the other side of the gargoyle, frozen arm splintered and scattering about the snow below. The gargoyle yowls in pain, his sliced arm melting water along the frozen snow as he turns back to look at Sterling.
  166.
  167. "Not.... grrrr... what I expected...."
  168.
  169. Sterling turns back around, diving forward with her sword aimed for his head. "I rarely am!" She huffs, and puffs, the snow gathering around her already starting to freeze her burning form as she runs out of breath. "This... may be my last stroke... but it will be one to remember."
  170.
  171. She looks down at her blade, "Sir Luke... Sir Honey... Lady Onyxia... Lady Fang... Lord Nero... thank you for taking my humble services. Pound and Code.... I will see you soon." She smiles, the ice parting along her armor as she takes one more leap. "HAVE AT THEEE!"

  177.
  178. Sterling's sword drives deep into the gargoyle's chest, narrowly missing his head as he dodges just in time to catch the sword in his chest, the flaming blade melting another cavity in the front as Sterling grits her teeth in a grin, before her eyes look upon the clawed foot that connects with her head, sending her flying away towards a tree that she slams into before falling to the ground in the snow, ice covering her body again from the blow as the snowy winds cover up the rest of her form in a large white sheet.
  179.
  180. She smiles as her face fades from sight, the blanket of frost growing larger and larger over her as it grows colder and colder. "I... hope.... I.... was... of ... service....."
  181.
  182. The gargoyle pants, clutching at his melting chest as ice starts to regrow over his arm, staring at the heap in the corner in the tree as the snow covers his opponent.
  183.
  184. He lumbers towards her, "Grrrr.... Glace.... my name is Glace.... you asked me that..." He growls, clutching at his arm, "I'm sorry.... grrrr.... for not answering earlier..."
  185.
  186. He stares at the pile of frozen pony before him, then his eyes shoot up towards the sky.
  187. "What?! But Master.... I am nearly there, I can.... grrrrrr..... yes..... very well.... I'll see to them later then...."
  188.
  189. The gargoyle stops in front of the snow pile, looking at it with what could only assumed to be disdain based on his constant cold, unfeeling glare, before turning back around the opposite direction, flying off back form whence he and Sterling came....
