  14. Fruit Street Inc. is now the new name of Welliko as Laurence Girard tries to run away from his reputation to better steal from new investors. Laurence has found it difficult to raise money for Welliko with the publicly available information and quotes attributed to him and has already had to move on to a new name to scam investors. This type of behavior is characteristic of scam artists. Once a scam artist burns one identity or scam he must move on to the next one which in this case is Fruit Street Inc.

  16. As an investor in Prevently, over the past months my family has continually received attempts at paying us off for our silence about the Prevently scam. Laurence Girard has attempted to give me shares in Fruit Street and Welliko in return for a release of liability. On the principal it would be reprehensible for anyone to accept such an offer because it supports a scamartist and disallows people like myself from using our legal rights to seek damages against Laurence Girard, Welliko, Fruit Street, and whatever other companies he may cook up.

It may allow him to dupe some investors sadly but he has created himself a reputation that will stick with him the rest of his life. Without knowing, it appears that many of these writers were drawn into a scam to provide writing services, without getting paid for them. A good number of these writers Laurence Girard unscrupulously scammed are work at home moms from the website listed below. We cannot believe our family was duped into handing over money for stock by Laurence Girard in a company that defrauded not only investors but also innocent people looking to make money.   58. A little research resulted in the finding of another health website started by Laurence Girard in November, 2012 called Nurtitas. His photo is beside the website so it is clearly the correct Laurence Girard. That site is also dead. My research also showed numerous claims on raised capital that are clearly inflated as he claims one amount in private mail exchanges and a much larger amount on public websites. He has made, from my research, false claims on capital in regards to other companies he has (claimed to have) started as well.

Not only will you end up giving up all your personal information (full name, address, SSN, bio and photo), you will also write tedious articles and not be paid! The platform is set up so that once articles are submitted, you cannot retrieve them, alter them, or delete them.

  88. Little did we know he was not a Harvard University student. Laurence Girard used Harvard’s brand to fraudulently induce us to invest in him. He was in fact a student at the open enrollment Harvard Extension School – open to anyone willing to pay tuition for night and online classes. Being that one school has one of the world’s most rigorous acceptance standards and the other is open to anyone with no admission standards, Laurence Girard clearly was counting on the Harvard brand to add undue legitimacy to his name and startup.

  90. Laurence Girard at various times while soliciting our family to invest told us he was “Pre Med” at Harvard and “Computer Science” at Harvard. Looking back, we should have seen the red flag from Laurence Girard’s telling us these conflicting answers about his supposed Harvard education in order to satisfy our questions of technical expertise and medical expertise. Laurence Girard loved comparing himself to Mark Zuckerberg to us, again on the basis that they somehow went to the same school.

The first image is from a Prevently pitch deck used to solicit money from us, in which Laurence Girard claims to be a “Harvard University Undergraduate, the same as Kristen Faulkner who actually was a Harvard student. In classic Laurence Girard style, the last image shows Laurence claiming to be a “Harvard Grad” in a media piece. It’s not surprising given his record of pathological lying.

We never knew Laurence Girard had an improper relationship with past vendors who had a track-record of failure such as Ingenuity Technology Consultants.

  113. While at Crimson Coders, Laurence Girard decided to upgrade to a $3,000 a month luxury apartment out of company funds. He later paid for this apartment with Prevently once he abandoned Crimson Coders. The customers of this business were left with no product by Laurence Girard. Even worse, customers were led to believe through the name that Laurence Girard’s company “Crimson Coders” was a group of Harvard coders. Instead, Crimson Coders used the same incompetent coding group as Prevently did with Ingenuity Technology Consultants. The themes of Laurence Girard’s relationship with Ingenuity Technology Consultants is the same as with Prevently:

We do not have first-hand experience (we are investors in Prevently only and did not know about Crimson Coders until late April 2014 but the pattern is clear from what Laurence Girard’s former business partners and investors have told stockholders. Crimson Coders seems to be an earlier, smaller scale version or practice for the scam that Prevently became. It seems only a small group of investors and customers were scammed with Crimson Coders by Laurence Girard.

Since then, I have worked in the SF office at Runway, and come to have strong relationships with Kristen, the founding advisors and most of the vendors. I have spent more than 2-3 months now (excluding the current role) in an in-person on the ground capacity with Prevently. “

It’s to be expected that Laurence Girard will need to find a new way to make money. He has a proven track record demonstrating excellent ability to raise money, excellent ability to embezzle money, but no will or ability to execute on anything resembling project or business management.

He will point to Lars Soderstrom and Fabrizio Fantini – Lars has been bribed by substantial shareholdings in Welliko and Fabrizio likely the same. There are over 15 other advisers in the company who Laurence Girard will attempt to hide, as he has done by deleting his twitter feed, eliminating anything Prevently related from his Linkedin, Out of respect for the hard work these individuals put into the company and the harassment they would receive from psychopathic Laurence Girard, I decline to put their names out here publicly.

Investors in Welliko and Fruit Street – keep a lookout at the Welliko and Fruit Street bank account. The board of Prevently showed some of the records to Prevently investors. He seems to have a habit of $5,000-$20,000 cash withdrawals and wire transfers to himself. Additionally, he more than happily burdened a company with $1mm raised with over $500,000 in debt, over the course of 9 months, while never having more than $50,000 in the bank account at any one time.

  149. The offers that we got as Prevently investors to invest in Welliko and Fruit Street involved some sort of super votes to ensure Laurence Girard would always have full control of the company. Beware investors – he learned this trick at the tail-end of Prevently. He attempted to get shareholders to agree to this to oust the board. We almost agreed, until a preponderance of evidence came out against Laurence Girard. His outbursts and 30 emails per day to us did not help. It also did not help that Laurence Girard sent very public threats against the board, instead of dealing with them in a professional manner. Laurence Girard is a tyrant and not a benevolent one at that.
