Adventures of the Outer Rim 1

Two off-duty thugs step down a short flight of stairs into the cantina's shadowy common room, the cool air a blessed relief from the scorching heat of Tatooine. The Devaronian bartender pauses in his chores to stare, his devilish features intimidating. On a stage against the far wall, a Twi'lek woman dances to recorded music. Private booths line the walls, and the cantina floor is scattered with tables and chairs. A few patrons turn in their seats to stare at the thugs.
As one takes a seat, another pauses and looks across the cantina.
He raises a device to his face, and mutters something, looking across the booths.
Illander — Today at 10:28 PM
Illander leans forward onto the table, two of his arms folded on top of it, his other pair under the table one holding his knife the other aiming his pistol towards one of the goons.
Varek Droust — Today at 10:30 PM
Notices the two thugs have spotted them he puts his hand on his Blaster pistol pulls it out of his holster and keeps it low. and under the table.
Canix Braus — Today at 10:40 PM
Locks eyes with the thug on the commlink and knows he's been spotted. Reacting quickly he pulls a blaster and fires a screeching energy bolt at the target, the flesh of the thug's face melts, pops and smokes while the corpse drops to the floor.

The second of the Gamorreans hurls himself over the bar to take cover.
Illander — Today at 10:44 PM
The first thug going down, Illander adjusts his shot to the second one as he leaps over the bar.

The shot glances off the Gamorrean's own communications device, crackling as it peels off its holster atop his shoulder.
Hawk Vars — Today at 10:48 PM
Draws his rifle and fires at the guard.
SW_GM — Today at 10:50 PM
The round hits, but its energy isn't fully spent. It bounces and strikes the man behind the bar, who cries out in pain.
HK-52b — Today at 10:51 PM
Equips his Truncheon and runs behind the table closest to the target.
Varek Droust — Today at 10:54 PM
Reacting quickly he moves up quickly to one of the tables closest to the bar, his weapon already drawn he fires and the thug behind the bar.
Logen Nyne — Today at 10:57 PM
Logen practically jumps out of his skin as blaster fire erupts from behind him and kills one of the thugs. He notices the droid moving towards them, and decides to follow, better at melee than shooting with his little holdout. He takes cover behind a nearby table.

As suddenly as the conflict began, the porcine roaring of more Gamorreans announces the arrival of reinforcements.
Logen Nyne — Today at 11:00 PM
"Scrap, you gotta be kidding me." He mutters to himself as he hears the all too familair roars.
Varek Droust — Today at 11:00 PM
Seeing the new group of thugs entering, he opens fire on them killing one and then falls back taking cover.
SW_GM — Today at 11:04 PM
Stepping over his fallen comrade, another of the thugs charges at HK-52b, striking him with a heavy cudgel.
Immediately behind him, two more Gamorreans charge in.
HK-52b — Today at 11:08 PM
Takes a swing at the Gamorrean attacking them. HK was not able to get a hit, but was able to throw their attacker off guard.
Logen Nyne — Today at 11:10 PM
Logen slides along the side of his table and with a roar of his own he brings his vibro-ax down in an overhead strike. The Blade embedding itself into the Gamorrean's heart killing it instantly.  He kicks the corpse off his mask and prepares himself for the other walking pig-aliens.
HK-52b — Today at 11:11 PM
"Statement: Disappointing. This unit wished to kill that organic."
Canix Braus — Today at 11:14 PM
Canix draws his other Relby and moves out of the booth towards the ugly Gamorreans pouring into the cantina. Once in position he double taps one of the thugs with concerted blaster fire, dropping another onto the dusty floor of the establishment. "No end to these slimeballs."

Takes aim and fires at the last Gomorrean.

The Gamorreans are defeated! The silence that follows is broken by slow, unamused applause. The Devaronian bartender approaches and laughs a brittle little laugh.
"I guess you're folks who need to get off the planet in a hurry. The good news for you is that I happen to know there's a freighter in Landing Bay Aurex right now. The bad news is that its captain, Trex, is an associate of the Hutt's and won't just let you on."

"The other bad news is that the reason I know it's still in the landing bay is that it has a broken hypermatter reactor igniter and won't be flying anywhere until it gets a new one installed."

"I bet Vorn over at the junk shop has one," he adds almost to himself, before pointing at the door.
"Now get out of my cantina."

"Statement: This organic is very helpful."

Illander steps out from the booth.

Canix turns to the other Mandalorians. "Looks like we need to find us an igniter and someone to install the damn thing. Then we get rid of this..Trex and take it. Let's go."
Logen Nyne — Today at 11:18 PM
"That explains why you're giving the info for free...."
"Since we're all in the same...situation, you let me tag along I'll show you lot where Vorn is."

"I might be able to install it." he says as he holsters his pistol.

"You lot are in luck as I'll offer my piloting expertise for free in these circumstances." Illander makes a slight bow towards the fighters.
Logen Nyne — Today at 11:20 PM
He looks to the Mandalorians, and then to the droid and Illander. "Might be our ticket off this sand-ball."

"Statement: This unit is an Engineer class Droid."

Canix looks askance at the man, droid and alien. "You're welcome to come along, just make sure you don't slow us down." Canix moves towards the door of the Cantina.

As he follows Canix, Varek glaces at the strange droid with them, trying to figure out what type of droid they are.

On the way out Illander frisks the Gamorrean near the door before catching up to the group.

Illander shrugs and continues out.

The junk shop is immediately obvious by the scarp-yard adjoining the low pourstone building. As you step inside, you see a hunched old human male lurking behind a low counter covered with disassembled droid and machine parts. The man glances up at you, then turns to a garbage can-shaped R5 droid standing at his side.
He kicks the droid and shrieks, "You're supposed to tell me when I have customers, you useless bin of bolts! Go outside and finish stripping that speeder bike wreck."
The droid trundles off with a surly "booop" and the man turns to you.
"Welcome customers! As you can see," he points at the racks and shelves and enormous buckets full of scrap metal and parts. "I have anything you could want... for the first price."

"Need ourselves a hypermatter reactor igniter Vorn, was told you'd have one laying about and would part with it for a reasonable price."

Logen stands nearby, keeping an eye on the door.

"Yes," he says looking up at Canix. "I have one. But just the one."
"And it's already promised to Captain Trex, of the Krayt Fang".
The mention of this name, instantly causes a reaction in more than one of you.
Noticing this, he adds, "The Trandoshain bounty hunter."

Canix's face hardens briefly before he forces his face to relax. "Of course we do, we're here to pick it up for the good Captain and settle payment."

"The man's a bounty hunter. Works with Teemo. And that's all there's to say."

"We'd also like to inspect the igniter and make sure its in working condition for the Cap."

Hearing more about this Captain Trek, Varek dose recognize the name but not much about them.

"Option C." Canix draws a blaster and aims it casually at the junk dealer. "We take it and you get to live. Unlike the soon to be late Captain Trex."

"Statement: This is a happy coincidence. This unit was thinking the same thing." They draw their weapon.

His weapon is already out, but his glare at the old man is intimidating enough, he's sure.

"Clanking marauders..." he says with his hands up by his sides.

Illander smiles, "So... where is it I don't see it here."

"Take it," he says motioning with his head to one side. "It's just outside by the droid."

"Keep an eye on him while I check for it ye?"
Illander steps out.

Canix glares hard at the man and nods to the pilot. "Sounds good to me."

Illander grabs the part from outside and walks back inside, noticing the stimpacks behind Vorn, steps past him and takes them before saying to the group, "Got the part."

"Those are 25 credits each. Imperial," he says with bile.

"Good, let's get going then." Raising an eyebrow before shaking his head at the pilot's theft.

Hawk moves along shaking his head.

Canix flourishes his blaster and then holsters it and cracks a grin. "Looks like you get to go on swindling another day Vorn." He starts to turn away from the man and move towards the door.

Heads with the group.

Begins backing a way to follow the group as he starts to holster his blaster pistol.

Once the group is back together Logen will lead them to Landing Bay Aurek.

They grab a repair kit in the store and says "Statement: This will be needed."

"Can't wait to see the old girl again, granted it'll need a work over after that...Trandoshan scum took her." He is speaking mainly to the other Mandalorians as the group moves through the streets and towards the hangar.

Canix raises an eyebrow in surprise and unclips his helmet from his belt. "I honestly wasn't sure if any of you had links or not." Canix provides the coded channel to the pilot, alien and droid as he fits his helmet and seals it.

Two security droids stand by the entrance, to the large pourstone hangar with an enormous letter aurek stenciled onto the building's side.
As you approach, you can see through the open hangar doors to the cavernous interior, where a rusty-looking light freighter rests.

Seeing things have immediately gone ploin-shaped, Logen charges in with no roar this time. Quieter the better he figures. His blade slams into the droid from the side, knocking it over against the wall.

HK charges to strike at the other Security Droid.  Unfortunately, they miss and hits Illander.

Canix blows apart the unscathed security droid with his twin blasters, turning it into smoking debris.

Logen's successive strike finishes it off, as the blade gouges deep into it's chest and in his effort to dislodge it takes one of it's arms off as well.

Trex moves around, and takes aim just off the side of his security droid. The blaster fire zips forward, striking Illander, yet something stops the blast from harming him.

HK runs towards the ship's landing gear.
HK crawls toward the land gear to get some cover.

The last of the droids fires at Illander, striking him.

Canix breaks from cover and ducks under the Krayt Fang, using the large landing struts to block any potential blaster fire as he moves to blindside Trex.

Moves from his position keeping low and out of line of site to the door into the control room.

Moves up and takes a shot at adroid.

The droid is blasted in its core. Gripping at the glowing metal, it collapses awkwardly on the ground.
Illander — Today at 2:25 AM
Illander grabs some of the stolen stim packs to inject himself using a spare arm to shoot at Trex. Unfortunately one of the stim packs was a dud.
HK-52b — Today at 2:28 AM
HK strains his servos to quickly move towards one of the security droids. They try to attack it, but the overclocked body causes damage and they miss.
SW_GM — Today at 2:32 AM
Trax moves and fires point blank at HK-52b for devastating effect as he retreats up the ramp.
Logen Nyne — Today at 2:34 AM
Seeing that he is now the only one not in the hangar Logen runs inside. The sound of more blaster fire let's him know there's still more droids inside and probably that slaver scum. He pushes himself to get down the ramp and fully under the starship.

The remaining security droid shoots HK again, and grapples him to use him as cover.
Canix Braus — Today at 2:45 AM
Ducking out of cover and sprinting past the droids locked in mortal combat, Canix charges up the boarding ramp towards Trex. Upon sighting the slaver captain he blasts two smoking holes into the Trandoshan's back, a satisfied look crosses his face as he falls dead to the deck plating.
"Fouling up my ship with your despicable craft." Placing a boot on the dead alien, Canix kicks his body down the ramp unceremoniously.
Logen Nyne — Today at 2:45 AM
Logen spins around the landing gear and moves swiftly forward in a crouch, with the droids distracted in their melee he darts in and with a wide swing embeds his ax into the back of the enemy droid, killing it in a shower of sparks.

HK begins self repair protocols.

Illander seeing that the fight seems to be resolved, runs to shut the door behind them.

Illander rushes over to the cockpit and begins powering up the ship.

Satisfied everyone is in place and the slaver tools of the trade have been vacated from the ship Canix moves up to the cockpit and takes his seat.

Varek makes his way through the maintenance area and finds his way into the Control room, he quickly rushes over to the control panel and works to unlock the mag locks, at first he fails but then on the second attempt....

The mag clamps begin to whir open. Yet... so do the pistons on the hangar doors, and they begin to open up. Outside, Imperial Army troopers are stacked up; heavy weapons opening up on the Krayt Fang as soon as they are able to train their weapons on the ship.

The Krayt Fang thrums around you as its engines power up, lifting through the hangar bay doors and into the bright sunlight of the Tatooine sky. Soon, Mos Shuuta vanishes behind you as blaster fire hopelessly flies at you, and you race out over the Dune Sea and climb towards outer space.
