- Rangers Week 2 PR
- cj.gecko (vs SohamSpur)
- Even adjusting for the turn 1 crit it was clear you didn't have a great way of dealing with Toxtricity's raw strength. Losing Corviknight into this team this early however did really open the door for the rest of Soham's team to come flooding in.
- SohamSpur (vs cj.gecko)
- Despite the RNG swaying in your favour, it was clear Toxtricity did a number to your opponents team. Overally played well, nice to see Unfezant get another cameo at the end.
- Piranha Plant (vs Python)
- Necrozma did a massive amount of damage early, and although Cofagrigus was useful and Haxorus scary, the game was probably lost on not having anything to survive Necrozma (-1 Def Cobalion may well have made the difference against you there)
- Python (vs Piranha Plant)
- The Necrozma tech with Rock Blast was great, and how aggressively you played it gave you a good lead early. Cofagrigus gave you some trouble, and Haxorus was scary, but the Sash Tailwind was clutch, giving a lot of momentum. Tanga Berry was very nice too.
- KZ (vs IonBlaster)
- Made a great start to the game with Ferrothorn, and Type Null made some nice holes, however you probably should've played it safe and gone for Crush Claw on the burn turn, as that would've stopped the Wish from coming down and healing Vikavolt, which would make the difference in the endgame. A small thing that could've turned the game (which Focus Blast nearly still won), but this week was much better.
- IonBlaster (vs KZ)
- Struggled early with the Type:Null, but really turned the game around with the Trick Room. The Vikavolt receiving that Wish was crucial (and the Focus Blast miss ensured things) as it allowed it to take on the Barraskewda once TR ran out.
- Ascendant (vs Yook Sungjae)
- Losing so much health on Zeraora early was always going to hurt. The Head Smash was cool tech, but the game really tipped out of your favour once the Quagsire was revealed to be Unaware. If Zeraora had more health at this point it may have been able to come in more successfully and threaten the Grass move, but alas your team was too low at that point.
- Yook Sungjae (vs Ascendant)
- Its always going to be a good game when you bring Dugtrio and don't have to use it. The Mandibuzz getting Foul Play on Zeraora was clutch, as it made it much easier to play around Ascendants team. Your defensive mons generally stayed quite healthy, which allowed you to outlast Ascendant, especially with Unaware Quagsire.
- Viettung (vs Shibby)
- The team just didn't look like breaking through Shibby's at any time until Hawlucha got behind a sub, but then Trick Room got set and it was over. Arcanine felt like the only genuine contributer in the early to mid game with some good set choices, but otherwise the team lacked.
- Shibby (vs Viettung)
- Melmetal did 50% on a resisted hit on a -1...
- You played pretty well, apart from the Melmetal sack. Toxic on Appletun was important, and you looked to have an answer to nearly everything Viet did, especially the Trick Room in the end game to deal with the Hawlucha.
- 1st: Shibby
- 2nd: SohamSpur
- 3rd: Yook SungJae
- 4th: IonBlaster
- 5th: Python
- 6th: KZ
- 7th: Ascendant
- 8th: Piranha Plant
- 9th: Viettung
- 10th: cj.gecko
