Notes: Someone bought a date+CG for Yvonne. It’s a request for a springtime picnic date. I was thinking we could use this as the finale CG set in New York?

Summary:
Yvonne is wicked cultured, a faelike beauty and all that entails. A kingmaker, an entrepreneur, and a romantic, she’s more than earned the apprehension other vampires give her, and the undying admiration they give in equal parts. Some wonder what there’s left to do after 2,000 years, and to that she points to every new discovery humanity makes, and how every bond is unique. There is no acknowledgment that this comes from a place of fear. It’s easier to accept the ephemeral when you’re in a world made for it.
Yvonne has sincerity behind every action, but what would she die for? Perhaps it could be said she’s waiting for someone special to justify following after them, but that’s not true. What does she need?

More Elaborately:

Yvonne is from Gaul, but she’s always been a bit of a special case. Another instance of a long reaching vampiric family (for as long reaching as those could be), she spent her youth traveling with her family as merchants. She’s the youngest and only daughter of her parents, and for all the age she eventually accumulates, she’s still always that little sister at heart.
She wouldn’t say she gained a particular complex about her parents eventually deciding to “retire” to the afterlife - nothing any more strong than what any child would face in the death of a parent they cared for.
Her turning was also nothing special - a revenge against those that tore apart her home, a desire for power, a request for equality when the rest of her family was given it. The demon agrees, and assists her even further. Many of the vampires she met during her travels had retired or died for various reasons, some by her own hands, but there was plenty of new blood that could use the guiding hand, and finding someone you could be honest with was inherently difficult to find when you were a vampire.
She traveled with her brother for quite some time, since she hated being alone, but they eventually went their separate ways. It’s during a visit to her Uncle in France that the man dies and she encounters King Alexander, who she quickly takes under her wing (as he does the same in turn, truthfully.) They go on a myriad of adventures, even as they refuse to address the elephant in the room. Alexander has wanted to die from day one of his turning, and it could be said it’s something like pity that makes him keep this guardianship. Yvonne counters that it’s natural to want to keep your safety for as long as you can.
After all, even if Satan himself tells you that you should probably retire, and even deigns to tell you the truth about what’s on the other side of the veil (like you were an idiot, like you knew your parents wouldn’t have left otherwise) and how you would have a brand new adventure - well, perhaps you don’t want that.
However, it can be hard to counter Yvonne’s apprehensions, stubbornness aside. While it is fair to say that she’s the queen bee of her high school who’s afraid to move to a bigger pond, her small pond is still the entire mortal realm.
(Maybe it’s the fear of knowing how many past loves wait for her on the other side. Maybe it’s the fear of knowing she’s no longer the one on top. Maybe it’s all a lie by the devil to finally catch your soul. When’s the last time she’s done something without the confidence of knowing that no matter how shocking or swerving, she’d still be okay? Isn’t it only natural to drag your heels even when you’re already full and not treating your new bonds with due dilligence? Are you telling her that she’s hit her limit as a human being? How cruel is that?)

Outline Generals:

Regardless, enter Diana. Yvonne’s no moron when it comes to modern technology, and she enjoys keeping an eye on the burgeoning talent on social media decently enough, but she has enough sense to not to say that to an influencer’s face. Besides, Diana seems cute and interesting anyway.
Her solo scene, whenever it is, is her in the Eventually Infamous bathroom. She’s trying to touch up her makeup and struggling with - something. Maybe she’s having trouble blending her eyeshadow, or her eyeliner was smudged, or something else. After a bit of small talk with the icebreaker being compliments on each other’s costumes, Diana offers to help, and Yvonne is happy to oblige. Cue a bit of tension as Diana gets up and personal with this really cute fairy who smells nice and smiles just a certain way.
Of course then someone knocks, and Yvonne departs with a wink. If she’s the last one Diana encounters, there’s the option to go grab a drink directly (maybe they even talk about booze during the solo scene).
(Of course, if we have the solo scenes after the two group scenes for whatever reason - which we shouldn’t given Yvonne’s scene requiring the bathroom [which of course could be moved to a different place in the house: Yvonne struggles even more with this tiny mirror and Diana has even more reason to help her] then the flirting could be even more amped up. Therein brings the question of why exactly Yvonne is biting a nurse, but I digress.)
Her duo scene is with Sebastian. Diana decides to grab a little bit of liquid courage, but the shitty PBR they used to have at the parties she hit up is nowhere to be found, and she’s not really sure where to start beyond knowing she’s not in the mood for Fireball. Or Tequila. Maybe after leaving the bathroom she finds Sebastian and Eve (the cat) again and he goes with her to grab a drink since she mentions wanting some. Maybe Yvonne’s already there. Someone will figure out the logistics, I’m sure.
Seeing as she’s dithering, Yvonne swoops in. There’s a lot of flirting from them both, no matter how subtle and - frankly, Diana’s pretty game to two hot people sniping at each other over her (literally haha because she’s short.) There’s maybe even a double kabedon Diana’s way. Maybe there’s talks about Tequila shots, and there’s definitely a pissing match over Spanish vs French drinks or drinks in general, as well as general suggestions for Diana and test sips. Diana probably mentions that she’s not against body shots, or etcetera, but neither of the vampires are looking to get her nonconsensually sloshed. They’re still not against biting her, though. This scene, if we’re making it mandatory, would likely be before the Madi+Forr food scene. How do they all depart, Yv+Seb+Di? Di probably picks a winner before she gets lost in the crowd or something something.
Either way, Yvonne shows that she knows what she’s doing, that she’s interested in Diana, and terribly game. And maybe Diana is too. If she is, there has to be a reason she isn’t able to nab Yvonne before Yvonne decides on biting the nurse instead. Perhaps they (any vampire, that is, besides Madi’s unique circumstance) know Diana wouldn’t be drunk enough to pass out after a bite and were grabbing one for the road. That would still require a bit of time. Probably. Fuck if I know. REGARDLESS.
THE NURSE IS BITTEN. DIANA HITS A VAMPIRE WITH A DOOR, FALLS DOWN THE STAIRS, TRIPS ON A PUMPKIN AND EATS METAPHORICAL CONCRETE. Madison is the first to find out what’s going, Sebastian finds out next, and Forrest finds out last because he’s easiest.
They drive to Doctor Bernard’s. Bernard (and the guys) are less than impressed. Yvonne flips them the bird, and there’s no point in wasting anymore moonlight. One of the vampires likely still has to eat.
While Yvonne was already relatively interested in this shy youtuber with so much potential, her interest is doubly piqued when Diana becomes a magical anomaly. Even more savory, Diana offers a bit of a challenge without being unsalvageable. Sure, they kidnapped her, but they didn’t harm her along the way, and they had mostly good (or neutral, bare minimum) intentions for why they did what they did.
With that in mind, Yvonne begins a mental game plan of just how she’s going to seduce Diana, if just platonically. There’s also ample opportunity to help since Diana’s a college student and, more importantly, on crutches for the next couple weeks.
While Diana isn’t crazy about this at all, she does need the help, and she is pretty bummed about how Halloween turned out. And while there’s no such thing as a free lunch, if Yvonne is offering to treat her to breakfast, she supposes there’s no harm in saying yes.
So here’s where it gets a bit muddled:
- You don’t have MILF energy until you bring your affection of choice to a fancy brunch place (or perhaps just Robin’s) and bring on the Mimosa power hour. While it’s a bit annoying when Yvonne’s vampire rival shows up to interrupt whatever bit of conversation they do begin to have (”why’re you even here, it’s a Monday??”) it’s still an opportunity for Yvonne to throw some clout around.
And here’s where it’s clear:
- Somewhere along the way, Diana asks Yvonne how she couldn’t possibly be super bored after 2,000 years of living, especially if history loves to repeat. Yvonne counters that while some things do repeat, there’s still plenty of twists and turns on a common tune (of sorts.) She also offers to treat Diana to the new hobby she’s picked up - latte foam art, so this is probably at Robin’s or they’re just chilling in Yvonne’s kitchen or something.
Winter Break begins the first week of December.
