  11. The final part and Epilogue of the Hazbin Hotel-Dead Space crossover.
  12. ------
  13. Well, I guess it's time to wrap this story up, the conclusion of DS x Hazbin everyone.
  14. >In the center of the city, the trio crept along, trying their hardest not to be seen
  15. >The Marker was a good distance away, and it didn't help that the necromorphs were guarding it in such huge numbers.
  16. >After a few minutes, they reached an opening in the building, which conveniently led to a path leading to the marker.
  17. >Then, someone tripped on a can.
  18. >And that's when they heard the roars coming towards them from behind.
  19. >Isaac an Ellie drew their weapons, before Charlie went demon mode and pushed them back.
  20. >"You two go, I'll hold them off."
  21. >"Charlie what are you talking about, there's far too many of them, come with us."
  22. >The princess didn't budge, but held her ground.
  23. >"Charlie"
  24. >"Just go, I'm not some push over, my grandpa is god you know. So that should put things into perspective for you two."
  25. >Soon enough, the horde came.
  26. >Only for the first wave to get vaporized by a laser, curtesy of Charlie.
  27. "Let's go Ellie, Charlie's got this."
  28. >And so, the two humans ran off, leaving the demonic princess to hold the line.
  29. -
  30. >A couple minutes went by, and none of the necros were able to pass.
  31. >Charlie fought them all off, yet that didn't stop them from continuing their assault
  32. >And soon enough, it began to take its tole on the girl.
  33. >Sure she was powerful, but there never was time before where Charlie had to push herself to the lengths she was already doing so.
  34. >Exhaustion was setting in.
  35. >She wanted to take a quick break, but doing so meant the chance of letting the horde go by.
  36. >So she fought on, but even with sheer willpower, her nerves began failing.
  37. >Another wave was approaching, and Charlie's powers were weakening
  38. >She could stop a few more and that would be it.
  39. >So she prepared herself for the next wave.
  40. >And with all her might, she fired another powerful blast of energy, using the most power she's used ever before.
  41. >Only, another blast intercepted, dwarfing Charlie's by a long shot.
  42. >Standing behind the fallen monsters was the queen of hell herself.
  43. >"Mom?"
  44. >Lilith opened her arms, and within seconds, the two held each other in a loving embrace.
  45. >But their reunion was cut short by another wave approaching.
  46. >"You should settle down for a little, I'll take care of the rest."
  47. >"But mom."
  48. >"No buts dear, my father is god after all, and I've had my fair share of bloodshed before."
  49. >And so, the princess sat down and watched her mother mercilessly slaughter the necromorphs with great ferocity.
  50. -
  51. >After a good bit of running, the duo finally reached the Marker.
  52. >A horrible sense of dread came upon the two, a voice rang out in their minds.
  53. >"Ïśæäć Čłärk, ÿōü hævę ärrįvëd...."
  54. >The dark aura around it grew.
  55. >"Ï kñōw āłł åböût thįś çrûśädè ÿøū'vė hęłd agäīñst më æñd mÿ brothers."
  56. >The platform they were on began to rise.
  57. >"And so...."
  58. >It voice grew less distorted.
  59. >"I shall end this once and for all, but first I must thank you."
  60. >Clarke was visibly confused, equally so was Ellie.
  61. "Why?"
  62. >"Thanks to you recent detour, you've revealed an endless multiverse to us, and with it, the chance of an endless feast for us."
  63. >The symbols on it began to glow brighter.
  64. >"Our army shall outnumber even the stars themselves once we purge this one and the next world, and then we shall continue further beyond....."
  65. >Tentacles broke out from the marker.
  66. >"And most importantly...."
  67. >"We....."
  68. >"Will....."
  69. >"Be made......"
  70. >The platform was now above the city, on level with the moons.
  71. >"WHOLE......."
  72. >"Now perish and become one with us."
  73. >And thus, the final battle for mankind begun.
  74. -
  75. >The two wasted no time firing at the tentacles.
  76. >A loud eldritch shriek tang throughout the battlefield.
  77. "Ellie, MOVE."
  78. >Isaac pushes her out of the way of some more tentacles that had tried impaling her.
  79. >They then wrapped around Isaac instead, threatening to crush the life out of him.
  80. >Isaac dropped his plasma cutter, and struggling wasn't an option.
  81. >He could feel his body slowly breaking from the force.
  82. >But then, Ellie stepped in and fired more shots at the tentacles, they soon dropped Isaac, leaving him be.
  83. >They then went after Ellie.
  84. >She began firing, shooting them off one by one.
  85. >It seemed as though she would be fine.
  86. >Almost too easy....
  87. >Then from behind, another tentacle slithered up.
  88. >Isaac screamed as he ran towards his girlfriend.
  89. "ELLIE, behind you."
  90. >But it was too late.
  91. >A horrible scream of pain escaped Ellie's mouth as the tentacle drove itself through her abdomen, and lifted her up into the air.
  92. >She locked eyes with Isaac, the fear visible on her face.
  93. "ELLIE!!!!"
  94. >The tentacle then flung her off it.
  95. >And she fell down below into the crawling mass of the undead below.
  96. >Isaac tried catching her with his kinesis module, but even that was too late to.
  97. >He was left standing there helplessly as his everything faded from few.
  98. -
  99. >Isaac was left little time to grieve as the marker lunged at him with its tendrils.
  100. >"You truly are a failure, now all your friends have gone."
  101. >They knocked him to the ground.
  102. >"Nicole left you."
  103. >"Hammond and Kendra left you."
  104. >One of them stabbed Isaac's left hand, nailing him to the dirt.
  105. >"Diana betrayed you, Stross turned insane."
  106. >Another tendril leveled itself with Isaac's throat.
  107. >"Buckell froze, Norton betrayed you to, Santos too died."
  108. >"Carver has left you in death, and now precious Ellie too is gone."
  109. >Isaac tried hitting the tentacle, but it was no use.
  110. >"Now, it's your turn to join them Isaac, join them and be made whole."
  111. >Then, the tendril that held his hand went limp.
  112. >Another shriek came as it fell down into the city below.
  113. >Footsteps approached, and someone grabbed Isaac's good hand and hoisted him up.
  114. >"Nice going there jackass, aren't we supposed be a team?"
  115. "What?"
  116. >Standing before Isaac was Sgt Carver in the flesh.
  117. "Carver, but you're dead, I saw your body."
  118. >"You don't need to remind me. Yes I'm dead, but I'm not gone yet, living off of borrowed time I think."
  119. >He reloaded his shotgun and branded Isaac his plasma cutter back.
  120. >"Now let's save the fucking world."
  121. "Hell yeah."
  122. >And so the two humans faced the monster before them with renewed determination.
  123. -
  124. >"It looks like Carver here wants to die again, this time no revives."
  125. >And so they fought.
  126. >Necrotic flesh and blood went everywhere as the two fired.
  127. >One by one, tentacles and tendrils fell.
  128. >The aura began swirling faster and faster.
  129. >The end was near,
  130. >Convergence was coming.
  131. "Just a little more Carver, and this fucker will be dead."
  132. >And so the two continued firing.
  133. >Once the limbs were gone, all that was left was the marker itself.
  134. >It's shell soon cracked
  135. And out came it's core
  136. >A purple orb.
  137. >"NO, NO NO, YOU CANNOT STOP US, YOU CAN'T, YOU'RE A LOWER LIFE FORM, WE ARE SUPIOR, THATS HOW ITS MEANT TO BE, YOU IMBECILES!!!"
  138. >It's cries and pleas fell into deaf ears as Isaac and Carver gave each other one last nod.
  139. >And together they fired.
  140. >Both emptied their guns into it, and the core exploded.
  141. >It knocked the two back, and with it came one last earth shattering shriek that was heard around the world.
  142. >The moons levitated higher into the sky, and cracked, light seeping from said crackers, before exploding.
  143. >Down below on the battlefield, the necrotic armies disintegrated into dust, even the mighty ubermorphs fell in defeat.
  144. >All around, cries of joy echoed as mankind rose triumphantly above the undead.
  145. >And with them their demonic and angelic allies joined.
  146. >Back on the platform, the ground beneath the two men fell back down towards the Earth.
  147. >"Oh boy, I think this really is it now."
  148. "Well, see you on the other side buddy, it was nice knowing you Carver."
  149. >"Same for you Clarke."
  150. >And so, the 2 let gravity drag them down. This time, Isaac gripped the photograph with all his might.
  151. -
  152. >Epilogue: Bad ending
  153.
  154. >Hour 6
  155. >When Isaac came to, he was still alive, Carver was no where to be seen.
  156. >The sun began to rise
  157. >All around, devastation sat.
  158. >Homes were gone
  159. >Families too in some cases.
  160. >But even now, survivors were digging themselves out of the rubble, and into the waiting arms of soldiers, and the immortals.
  161. >Isaac walked around the city.
  162. >And then, laying there, sunbeams shinning down on them.
  163. >Was Ellie
  164. >Isaac dragged himself over to her, and shook her.
  165. >Nothing
  166. >Isaac called her name
  167. >Nothing
  168. >And then he sat there, begging with the corpse to wake up, to stay with him, otherwise he was alone.
  169. >But the corpse didn't even twitch.
  170. >When the soldiers, demonic, and angelic finally arrived, they were met by the sight of Isaac Clarke, holding the body of his deceased girlfriend. Crying hard as the sun shown above them.
  171. >Some tried to help him up, but he remained there weeping.
  172. >His everything was gone
  173. >And now, nothing was left for him.
  174. >Jobless
  175. >Homeless
  176. >Friendless
  177. >He had nothing.
  178. >Absolutely nothing.
  179. -
  180. >The following 2 weeks were pretty eventful.
  181. >Humanity was now forced to accept that the supernatural existed, and that they saved their sorry asses from extinction.
  182. >And the portal remained opened.
  183. >Because apparently, closing it require more power than did opening it, and would perhaps end both his and the DS world.
  184. >But that problem was soon solved when God announced that he would be joining this world with his own.
  185. >Surprisingly, the DS afterlife was in chaos, God had been long dead, and so even heaven was a wreak.
  186. >So assuming control wasn't too hard.
  187. >And with these new gateways came a new golden age for humanity.
  188. >Technology would soon prosper once the afterlife and living world's swapped and traded technologies.
  189. >Lucifer predicted that soon they'd be giving the Tau a run for their money.
  190. -
  191. >Aside from advancements in science, fame a new renaissance in magic in the DS world
  192. >Dark magic was becoming hip, along with heaven's own magic (miracles or whatever)
  193. >Talks of opening schools was on the table
  194. >Harry Potter fans all over DS we're going apeshit.
  195. >Now all they needed was some skeleton looking prick......
  196.
  197. >Another plus was the decreased tensions between heaven and hell
  198. >Thanks to the team up, the two sides were able to learn more about each other than they ever imagined possible.
  199. >And it didn't come as a surprise that the amount of exterminators greatly plummeted.
  200. >Even Luci was happier, now that he and his fellow arch-angel brothers were speaking to each other again, and not tense.
  201. >Heck, god even wrote asking how his family was, even saying he would one day like to meet his granddaughter.
  202. All in all, things were looking bright for many
  203. >But not for everyone.
  204. -
  205. >Down in the hellish pits, a lone mortal lay awake on a bench.
  206. >This bench was what he called home
  207. >His friends, were some McDonalds burger wrappers that lay underneath.
  208. >In a duffle bag next to him, was his armor, which he hadn't worn since he destroyed the marker.
  209. >Now all Isaac wore was a T-shirt and some pants.
  210. >This was his life now.
  211. >Soon after finding Ellie, he learned Carver made it to heaven.
  212. >Good for him
  213. >Atleast he was with his family
  214. >Isaac had no one
  215. >He didn't bother finding a job, nor did he bother with socializing
  216. >None of it mattered anymore
  217. >Life had fucked him raw enough already, he wasn't willing to give it anymore effort now.
  218. >Oh, and now he was having nightmares, nightmares that made his dementia seem tame.
  219. -
  220. >And so, Isaac's mind began wandering back to his situation
  221. >4 years ago, he had a job with the CEC as a ship Engineer.
  222. >He lived ships, built ships, crapped ships, and got paid.
  223. >He had home
  224. >And a loving girlfriend
  225. >Today
  226. >He was a bum
  227. >"Oh my, Isaac is that you?!"
  228. >That voice
  229. >He turned and saw the Radio Demon looming over him.
  230. >His smile didn't falter as he got a better look at him.
  231. >"Goodness look at yourself, why are you so miserable? You haven't even gotten a proper shelter. You haven't even gotten a job haven't you?"
  232. "What do you want?"
  233. >His voice was bitter, only a hint of amicability remained.
  234. >"Why I was out on a stroll through city, though I'll be frank, Charlie asked to be on the look out for anyone who may be in need of redeeming."
  235. >His face became more smug
  236. >"Perhaps you may know anyone who fits the bill?"
  237. "There's some bikers in the diner down the road, they won't mess with you as long as you give their leader 2 bottles of scotch and a bottle of whiskey."
  238. >Isaac began pulling up his newspaper blanket, but Alastor ripped it off of him, folded it in one big palate airplane, and threw it.
  239. -
  240. >"Isaac, you need help, and I know you know it too, you're quite a smart fellow"
  241. "And a good for nothing pice of shit, I've got nothing left to live for Al, the only thing keeping me from blowing my head off is the fact that I'll wind up down here."
  242. >The demon's smile never wavered
  243. "You're wasting your time here, don't you get it? I'm a lost cause. Just let me be."
  244. >A hand gripped Isaac's shoulder
  245. >"I'm afraid I won't be able to do that, now if you'd be as kind as to accompany me, we're gonna get you a new home that isn't seating area."
  246. >Within seconds, Isaac was now in the lobby of the hazbin hotel, Al pushed him up to the reception, where a cat that looked as moody as Isaac sat.
  247. >"What freak did you drag in from off the the street this time Radio freak?"
  248. >"Husk, my friend Isaac is checking in to this fine establishment, he'll be needing a room and perhaps a bath from the finest power hose hell's got."
  249. >Charlie entered the lobby, and her eyes lit up when she saw Isaac, but then she saw his look.
  250. >"Isaac? What happened?"
  251. "Oh, hey Charlie. It's been a few weeks. Glad the necromorphs didn't get you."
  252. >"I told you I could fend for myself."
  253. >"Room 74" Husk said holding up some keys.
  254. "Okay, ummm, no thanks."
  255. >"Huh"
  256. "I've got a place al-"
  257. >"Isaac you live on a bench like a hobo, take the keys." Alastor demanded, his smile remaining, though it did twitch.
  258. >"Is that true Isaac?" Charlie's voice was filled with concern.
  259. "I'll be fine, I don't need help, nor do I want it. Nice seeing you again Charlie, but I don't belong here, or anywhere."
  260. >Isaac left through the entrance, only for Charlie to catch up to him.
  261. -
  262. >"Isaac stop"
  263. "Some rehab center isn't going to help me Charlie, no circles or sobriety parties can heal my mind."
  264. >"Well can't you at least stay with someone? Like Ellie, where is she anyway."
  265. >Bad move
  266. >Isaac's bloodshot eyes starred back at Charlie.
  267. "She's gone, the marker killed her. I couldn't protect her."
  268. >Isaac'a body once again began to ache
  269. "Guess that's just my luck huh? Huh? Poor me, poor fucking me. I've lost my job, my home, friends, and girlfriends"
  270. >Currently, he was beyond anger, the English language didn't even have a word to describe what Isaac felt.
  271. "That's just my fucking luck, aren't I just so unlucky Charlie? Huh, HUH."
  272. >He threw a trash can into the road, causing a car to almost swerve of the road.
  273. >Silence lingered, only Isaac's heavy breathing could be heard
  274. "Fuck me"
  275. >Isaac sank down, he really wished he died in the fall now
  276. >Death was better than this fate.
  277. >"Isaac"
  278. >"Isaac"
  279. >Charlie poked his shoulder
  280. -
  281. >Reluctantly, the man faced Charlie.
  282. >"I know how it feels to think you mean nothing, to believe you're a failure. But you're not. Look around, if you truly were, then we wouldn't be here talking right now, wouldn't we?"
  283. >She had a point
  284. "No we wouldn't"
  285. >"Right, and besides, I know you're not some asshole, you loved her. Now, what would Ellie think right now if she saw you like this?"
  286. >She had some nerve, using Ellie so casually like that
  287. >But he had to admit, he wouldn't want Ellie to see him like this.
  288. >Also, his whole self pity act was exhausting
  289. >A part of him wanted to move on already.
  290. >Except he didn't have the motivation and told that part off.
  291. >Well here was his motivation now.
  292. >His friend showing concern and compassion, wanting him to be able to move on and be happy.
  293. -
  294. >Ok, maybe he didn't have nothing
  295. >He had some, and that was enough to keep going
  296. >And who knows, this rehab thing could work
  297. >He could be the hotel mechanic or something
  298. >But no more love, no, he wasn't even going to hire a hooker
  299. >That part still has a long way to heal.
  300. >So Isaac stood up
  301. "Can you have someone get my stuff? The bench isn't even that far come to think of it."
  302. >Charlie's smile grew wide
  303. >"Awesome, you're luggage will be in the lobby for you. You're going to LOVE IT here."
  304. >Isaac chuckled as he followed her in.
  305. >Gosh, was she always this bubbly
  306. >As he entered, there was no hallucinations to greet him this time.
  307. >Only his friends and a warm room with a bathroom.
  308.
  309. >THE END
