- The nominative case is

- Endings for nouns:

- Some words take their

- as their nominative,

- form.

- The genitive case is
- for a noun modifying
- another noun. Mainly,
- showing possession
- and parts.
- ae,i,is - Singular
- orum,arum,um - Plural
- Translate with "of"
- e.g. Regis "of the

- built in preopositions,

- a,is,ibus - Plural
- Translate with

- Verbal noun with form
- of to be.
- e.g. amare "to love" is
- an infinitive, while amo
- "I love" is not. An infinitive is the second dictionary entry for
- a verb. Translate with to in front of verb.
