  1. Hatsu sat upon the end of the parallel bed, staring down at the ground with a thoughtful expression. For some time, he's been trying to acquire the power of the void for himself, but his reasoning fluctuated. At first, it was merely to be strong - but he came to recognize that his thoughts had been displaced, at the time. He had been left to his own devices, thriving on his own accord as he acquires brief spells of advice and guidance from experienced adults. But at the end of the day, the responsibility had fallen upon solely him.
  2.
  3. And he's come to understand something: What good was strength without purpose? There's a rare show of understanding upon the young man's face, folding his legs beneath him as his hands lightly join together. Rather than being laid out to rest, he allows himself to be bathed in cosmic energies, lightly seeping into his form as his eyes lid.
  4.
  5. The rose that remained positioned above his heart was a stark reminder of his past failings. He had been tasked with learning from the world around him, but he had become too involved in the politics of others. He had to distance himself from all of it, merely aiding people whom required his assistance. He had wound up doing such a thing now, and he had felt some form of 'alignment' in knowing he was doing what -he- desired.
  6.
  7. It dawns upon him that up until this point, he had performed and enacted his will upon the cosmos itself - demanding for it to heed his call. However, he was not like Sors, nor like the other cosmic magi he came across. He did not take what he desired without warning, nor was it his personality to rob the cosmos of its strength. He felt the need to commune with it, and while the abyss itself was not sentient in his eyes, he acknowledged it as a 'friend' of sorts.
  8.
  9. Bathed in moonlight beneath the window, his aura began to flare brighter, drawing upon the cold expanse of the sky as his mind wandered outward. His negative emotions served as a catalyst for his concentration - frustration, anger, detachment, and the burdensome weight of failure. He hardens these volatile emotions, balling them up into the center of his chest as he attempts to compact them to a singular point of focus.
  10.
  11. He wished to better himself, and by extension, grow from overcoming all four of these issues. He was still young, and would certainly require time to grow, but he had to set aside his past and look toward the future. Detaching himself from his failings, he had to aspire to succeed from this point forward. His anger had wildly lashed about previously, but he would fine-tune it to be directed only upon his opponents in battle. Sharpened by extensive meetings with beings who looked down upon him, it would be the likeness of a dagger, an icicle in which would be used as an extension.
  12.
  13. His aura fluctuates as he unburdens himself with the emotional baggage that staggered him previously. To be one with the welcoming, cold abyss, he had to be 'reborn' in a sense. It has taken years, but he felt that he could transcend his troubled thoughts and aspire to pave his future - no longer looking back with regret. He could hear his name at last being echoed into the black-lit sky.
  14.
  15. He reaches out within the reaches of his mind, no longer hesitant as he moves with a sense of purpose. He had found his communion underneath the moon itself, and with it, he would shed his failings of the past, and be united with the icy clarity he sought up until this point. The crystalline focus of looking to the future, to protect those that he deemed precious to him.
  16.
  17. To pave his own path among the stars that were laid out before him.
