  4. Greetings, Applicant! We'd like to know a little bit about you. Please list your name, or common internet Alias, as well as your age, email, and give us a few of your alts from other MU*s. If this is your first MUSH, welcome!

  8. Do you have any existing alts on Super Robot Wars MUSH? Remember that our current alt limits each player to 2 feature characters, and 3 overall characters.

  12. These are the +finger fields for your character - Remember to replace all the reminder text (ie 'Your character's name, shortened...'!

  14. Name: Your character's name, shortened if necessary! 25 characters maximum.
  15. Full Name: Your character's full official name, or 'true' name in the case of a character using an alias.
  16. Aliases: Your character's aliases (not @aliases), callsigns, or titles. I.e. "The Digger", for Simon.
  17. Chartype: Original Character (OC) or Feature Character (FC)
  18. Faction: Your Faction - Spiral Empire, Innocent, Vultures, Earth Militia, or Unaffiliated
  19. Racetype: Your Race - See News Races.

  21. Primary: Your primary robot - we're huge nerds, so if there's an affix or unit number, give that too! I.e. "RX-78-2 Gundam" or "MS-06 Borjarnon Custom"
  22. Secondary: Your secondary robot, if any. Just leave blank if you don't have one - not everyone does.

  24. Quote: "A nice, punchy thing your character would say."
  25. Profile: A summation of your character's personality, story, skills, and motivations - think of it as an elevator pitch for the question "Who is that, and why are they interesting?" Stick to the essentials!
  26. Skills: A Collection Of Things, Perhaps Some Serious, Perhaps Some Funny, That Your Character Does Or Knows Or Engages In, Making Sure To Capitalize Each Word. This section is generaly not for adding core skills or tricks, but is more for having fun.

  28. Theme: The Theme your character belongs to. OCs can be from a 'parent' theme, depending on their story beats or background, or from Super Robot Wars MUSH if they are 'totally original'.

  31. 4. History
  32. Tell us about your character's history and how they fit into the ongoing narrative of Super Robot Wars MUSH. This doesn't have to be super complicated, we are just looking for a coherent connection to the setting of the MUSH. If you're an FC, we're looking for an understanding of the character's past, including the changes to the character necessitated by their integration into the MUSH. OCs and some FCs can also request not to know your character's history in some circumstances (amnesia, alien infiltrator, etc.), for staff running plots to surprise you with.

  35. 5. Personality
  36. This is the nuts and bolts of the character, and the most important part of the application. Tell us about how your character thinks and acts, how their history (or lack thereof!) has shaped that thought process, and their relationships with other people and organizations. What are your character's hopes and dreams? What motivates them to go out and do what they're doing? Most importantly, entertain the questions of "Why Is This Character Interesting (To Other People)" and "Why Do People Want To Interact With This Individual".

  39. 6. Faction
  40. What faction is your character affiliated with? Why are they in it, or in the case of being Unaffiliated, why aren't they in one? Describe in detail what your character thinks about the ideology of their faction, and how their own personality meshes with it. Finally, think of any potential problems they might have with their faction or the people in it, and name at least two solutions to these problems that are reasonable for them to take.

  43. 7. Powers, Skills, Assets
  44. What powers, skills, and assets does your character have? Being a "Mecha Pilot" is assumed so you don't need to put that here, but what else do they bring to the table? Did you sell your soul for power, or do you have useful skills? A base of operations, or great wealth? Maybe a team of NPCs to repair and rearm your robot? We'd love to know! These are subdivided below, and will be placed in info files that only you and staff will be able to access. Please note, this is NOT the Combat section - nothing here should directly and mechanically apply to a fight - we're looking for narrative abilities. Additionally, try to keep it simple, unless something warrants thorough explaining. Erase the examples when filling in the next three fields.

  49. Racial traits, supernatural abilities, etc. For example, having gills or wings from being a beastman, or having received a Geass power.

  51. Newtype: Amuro Ray is a Newtype, granting him psychic empathy with people and a sort of danger-sense against incoming threats.

  55. Learned talents. For example, being a surgeon, or an artist.

  61. Material possessions beyond the norm. Owning a major business, being filthy rich, having access to soldiers, repair crews, assorted NPCs, etc.

  63. Oil Dollar Society: Alberto the Shockwave is a mastermind of the Oil Dollar Society, a secret organization of criminals that was absorbed into Big Fire. He possesses a wide information and transportation network, lots of disposable cash, and a super-speed butler named Ivan.

  70. Please explain how your pilot goes about piloting. Do they have a focus? Any flaws? Specialties? Be as brief or as detailed as you like, but be sure to cover the how and why of your style so that staff can handle building them - unless you'd like to do it yourself! In that case, justify your desires to us in detail.
