BACKGROUND: he was a lonely kid ; his mom was emotionally abusive and his dad was always working. hence, growing up he was very naive and found himself in a toxic relationship wih a girl in high school. she would use him to get what she wanted, constantly using "because i love you" as an excuse. khoa, never knowing what "love" actually was, obeyed and endured her abusive actions. once he was accepted to study abroad in korea, he left without saying anything. he and his past girlfriend and parents haven't spoken to each other since he got into starship as a trainee.
PERSONALITY:
- finds it hard to open up
- very compassionate and friendly to everyone, because he would never want people to feel the way he used to growing up
- insecure about his personality- he knows that at times he can be overly dependent on people and irritating to them as well but he can't help it at times
- he gets overwhelmed really easily, mostly because he takes a lot of things upon himself since he doesnt want to burden anyone else
- he's very sweet, he can be childish at times but knows when to take things seriously too

ONSTAGE PERSONALITY: you can really see how hard he works and how passionate he is about being an idol. the other members make the performances look effortless, but with khoa, he can be a little anxious and you can see that at times. he gets tired out easily, but it's clear that it's because tries really hard to please everyone around him. he can overwork himself and when he does he gets a bit moody and sensitive, although he tries to push off those feelings during performances. even if he isn't as experienced as the other members, he still wants to do what's best for the group and puts out all his effort.
OFFSTAGE PERSONALITY: khoa is usually really tired and also a bit cranky. he doesn't want to bother anyone though, and usually keeps quiet. he'll either be on his phone or laying down. he's still very sweet though, before going off to rest he praises the other members and makes sure they are alright. he'll also hang around waiting for them to baby him too, because he loves it, but won't admit it.
ON CAMERA PERSONALITY: khoa's childish and playful with the members he is comfortable with. but with ones he is intimidated by, he's a litter shyer. he always gives shout outs to fans and acknowledges them. he's the type to always be smiling. when he's tired he still manages to be cheery for the camera, but he does seem a bit rushed to get things over with.
OFF CAMERA PERSONALITY: khoa can be really sensitive and irritated easily. he's constantly stressing over wanting to have company but not wanting to annoy anyone. when he isnt stressed though, he is very composed and likes to keep things in place. he really enjoys taking care of himself- always working on his appearance / style. he does things for the other members to, at first because he felt guilty not doing so but later because he's become atttached to them and really wants them to be satisfied.
HOW ARE YOU WITH FANS: he absoultely adores them, they make him feel loved and appreciated so he is always very bright and genuine around them
