  2. Shiki Gear Rules
  3. ========================================
  4.
  5. Shikigami can obtain Shiki Gear by taking the Shiki Contract skill. Each skill level taken increases the total number of Shiki Gears obtainable by 1. When you raise the skill level, you may select different Shiki Gear for each choice you have available. You may even take multiples of the same Shiki Gear.
  6.
  7. Only characters who have taken this skill and Preserved the Shiki Gear can use it. This means Shiki Gear Outfits are not transferable.
  8.
  9.
  10. Shiki Types
  11. --------------------
  12. Shiki Gear have the same sorts of stats as typical Outfits. However, they do have one stat type specific to them: Type. Type represents what kind of role the Shiki tends to take when in battle, and may also give certain Shikigami style skills additional effects. The following four types of Shiki exist.
  13.
  14. >>>>> Type: Offensive
  15. A Shiki often in the form of a melee or ranged weapon.
  16.
  17. >>>>> Type: Defensive
  18. A Shiki that may be a weapon used for defensive purposes (a shield), or body armor or other kind of protection.
  19.
  20. >>>>> Type: Motive
  21. A Shiki with functions similar to vehicles or drones.
  22.
  23. >>>>> Type: Autonomous
  24. A Shiki with a form like an animal or similar, who acts according to the Shikigami's commands. Shiki of this type must be equipped in the new type of slot, [Slot: Autonomous].
  25.
  26.
  27. Slot: Autonomous
  28. --------------------
  29. This slot is for Shiki who you command from afar. All characters have but one [Slot: Autonomous]. A Minor Action can be spent to equip a Shiki to this slot, or switch which Shiki is equipped, or even unequipping from this slot.
  30.
  31.
  32. Heightened Effects
  33. --------------------
  34. All Shiki Gears have a special effect, labeled "Heightened," in addition to their normal effects as an Outfit. A Shikigami does not benefit from a Shikigami's Heightened effect normally. Instead, the Shikigami must take an appropriate style skill, such as Shiki Heightening, Weapon Trance, or Ultra-Heightening. Once said skill is acquired, the Shiki's hidden power will be draw out, granting you a partner that is second to none.
  35.
  36.
  37. Handling Shiki Gear
  38. --------------------
  39. Except for the points highlighted above, Shiki Gear otherwise act as normal Outfits. For example if they are not declared as carried when making an Appearance Check, then they cannot be used in a scene. Moreover, {Damaged} and {Broken} may be applied to them as normal.

  42. Shiki Gear Outfit Listing
  43.
  44. The Outfits listed here are Shiki Gears that a Shikigami summons, either through magic or technology, and utilizes. A Shikigami can acquire Shiki Gears by taking the Shiki Contract skill. The "Heightened" effect for each Shiki can only be benefited from when certain skills are acquired, as well. See above for details.
