  1. ~Ueno Mofumofu Nightmare: Episode 1, Part 2~
  2.
  3. Things pick up with narration by Alp. Eating the dreams of other people is something that he has to do to live, and it’s as important to him as eating food would be for others. Then he talks about his hat and how it has the power to switch around dreams and reality. By using it, he can enter the dreams of other people and eat what’s in them. And as that’s considered food for him, there’s a bunch of different kinds.
  4.
  5.
  6. For Alp, doing something like a prank that would leave a dreamer feeling pleasant would make great food for him. He can eat anything that’s in a dream, but the people whose dreams he eats have nightmares because of that. As such, people despised and feared him.
  7.
  8. Alp says that even back in his home world his existence was very different, which he was aware of. But still, he says he wasn’t born this way because he liked it. He was frightened when he thought about how dependent he was on other people’s dreams. He always saw others, but no one would see him. As such, he wants to be popular.
  9.
  10. Then one day, a rainbow came to his dark world and took him to Tokyo. It was a new world, so he decided to make himself over where no one knew what he used to be. He believes that if he were popular, he wouldn’t feel isolated. If he were popular, he could celebrate his happiness.
  11.
  12. To do that, he decided he needed to learn how to become popular. After all, he never managed it so far. He’s looked into tons of people’s dreams and taken down notes, and by using his bracelet artifact he turned into a panda, which is supposed to be popular in Tokyo. He picked up hip hop culture and a bunch of other things, all to make a new self. And yet...where did his real self go...?
  13.
  14. Camera then tunes in as things follow you, waking up in what might as well be Library Island. You wonder where you are and how you got there, in a sea of book shelves far as the eye can see. Alp is lying on the ground right next to you, so you wake him up. It takes him a moment, but when he tunes in he freaks out about the change in scenery.
  15.
  16. You say things were like this when you came to, then wonder if an overworld shift happened. Alp has an internal monologue wondering if his artifact created this space, but he argues against the thought because of what he was just doing earlier. Then he claims not to know to you. Though based on the situation, he says it might be an overworld shift.
  17.
  18. You ask Alp where Cusith or everyone else is. He tries to pretend he only just noticed Cusith is gone and wonders where he went. A voice calls out crying and telling people to make way, and a red panda alchemist shows up urging people to hurry or else someone will get mad, running around every corner until they stop in front of Alp.
  19.
  20. The alchemist nags at Alp to move because he can’t pass, which means he’ll be late and then suffer someone’s wrath. Alp takes a few steps to the side, but the alchemist says that’s not good enough. He’s opened up the right hand side but now he’s blocking the left hand side. Alp says he’s being crazy and selfish, but the alchemist insists he get out of the way.
  21.
  22. Alp admits to being a bit fat and dumb, but he says being told to move so much would depress anyone. The alchemist threatens punishment if he won’t move, so he picks up a nearby book and throws it at Alp. You move to cover him, and after he takes in his surprise he asks if you’re okay. You say it’s fine and that it’s just a book.
  23.
  24. Alp then gets angry at the alchemist, who in turn blames you guys as being outsiders getting in the way. He says he’ll have to get you two moved by force. He gets interrupted when a cushion is thrown at him from the sides. When he demands to know who did that, he seems to be hit with another one.
  25.
  26. Leib shows up sighing about how the world and its inhabitants are crazy, saying if the alchemist ran into anyone in his rush it would hurt. Then he notices you. You thank him, then realize he must be Leib from what Cusith had told you before. Leib confirms who he is and says the situation has turned into a pain in the neck. Alp freaks out at seeing him, and the alchemist calls him rude for throwing things. Leib says it was nearby on some chair so he just threw it, then asks if it’s any worse than throwing a book.
  27.
  28. You either comment on the kind of person Leib is or talk about him being a polar bear. In any case Leib says to leave the talks for later and says there’s something wrong with the alchemist. The mob whines that everyone is getting in their way and that King Jambavan will get mad if they don’t hurry. Leib asks him to repeat that last part.
  29.
  30. The alchemist has a fit and summons the kingdom’s guard dog, pulling out a bone and throwing it up into the air. A howl echoes, and the howler then jumps in and catches the bone in their mouth midair. That turns out to be Fenrir. You either express shock over his showing up or say he looks good with a bone in his mouth.
  31.
  32. The alchemist begs Fenrir to get rid of you guys, and a baffled Leib asks him what he’s guarding in a place like this. Alp keeps repeating the phrase “guard dog” so much that Fenrir yells and asks if it’s some plot to look down on him. Then he gets ready to fight, so Alp tries to talk him down and apologize. Fenrir growls, so Alp has a minor freakout over being too late.
  33.
  34. As Fenrir advances on Alp, you either try to call out to Fenrir or tell Alp to get away from him. Either way you cover for him and tank Fenrir’s attacks, and Alp asks if you’re hurt and why you saved him again. You either tell him it’s to save a teammate or that you moved without thinking about it. Alp says that stars really are different from other people. Then he starts trying to write that down.
  35.
  36. Leib tells you guys to step back since something is up with Fenrir. He sighs that Jambavan could have done something as his Tamer if he were here and says things are such a drag. You can either be shocked that he said that, comment that he’s really listless, or say you get what Cusith said about him.
  37.
  38. Another alchemist runs in to see what’s happening, then gets surprised seeing your group there. You either say it’s bad that someone new showed up or wonder who to join. Alp says Leib isn’t your enemy and that there is something off with Fenrir. Leib says he doesn’t know what’s happening either, but things won’t end unless something is done. You then say you’ll believe in Alp or Leib.
  39.
  40. Going B, Leib asks you to help him and asks for your name. You tell him, so he says he’ll be counting on you. He turns to Alp, only to see he’s gone somewhere.
  41.
  42. At that point, Alp draws attention to himself announcing his appearance and jumping down from the top of some shelves into the middle of things. He raps about having to fight and his goals, breakdancing. When he finishes it, the episode battle starts. Things continue after that.
  43.
  44. Eventually you guys manage to subdue Fenrir and the alchemists. You either dust yourself off or ask if everyone is okay. Alp says they seem to have come to their senses and no one seems to be hurt. The red panda alchemist asks who you guys are, then reacts with surprise to Leib being there. He asks where they are and what they were doing. They do remember being in a hurry and compare their forgetting to waking up from a dream.
  45.
  46. Leib finds the comparison interesting and wonders if Jambavan is relevant to things since the red panda mentioned him earlier. The alchemist remembers a little bit and says Jambavan was why he was in a hurry, but he doesn’t remember anything else. Leib says they seem to have been brainwashed. He gets the situation mostly though he doesn’t know why and says that other similar things may happen.
  47.
  48. Fenrir says he doesn’t remember much up until recently either, but he does remember attacking you guys. He also vaguely remembers something about his pride being hurt. Fenrir apologizes to you and asks if you took on any bad injuries. You can either tell him you’re fine, try to tell him about the bone thing, or say he looks great in sleepwear.
  49.
  50. Going C, he says it’s just something he picked to be comfortable, except you start touching him to his surprise. He tells you not to touch his ropes no matter what, and that if you get any closer his smell may get on you.
  51.
  52. In any case he swears to pay you back and thanks you. Fenrir then asks Leib, Bear with Red Tree Sap, why he’s here and why are things even happening. Leib tells him to stop talking like that because he doesn’t get what all the youngsters are saying anymore. But regardless, he doesn’t really know that much. He just woke up here.
  53.
  54. You try to talk to Leib, only to ask why he’s there. Alp realizes you haven’t been explained the whole picture yet, so he tells you that Leib is an Ueno college student who lives in the dorms and is the dorm manager. Cusith, Jambavan and the others all depend on him. You either accept this and exchange formalities or compliment his yukata.
  55.
  56. Going B, it takes him a moment to realize what you’re talking about. He says they’re easy to wear, which is the only reason he has them on. If he wore what he wears to sleep all the time he gets nagged about it. Then he gives you his regards.
  57.
  58. Leib then says that even as a college student he has a part time job as the school nurse for the senior high school. Also, since the workshop event is happening he’s helping take care of things with that. He’s surprised by this turn of events though. You ask him if it’s an overworld shift.
  59.
  60. Leib says you should assume that’s the case for now. If this place is one, then it should have a particular set up given the conditions needed for one to form. Leib’s already tried to leave, but he says there’s a wall or something keeping him from doing that. Alp asks if that means there’s no way out.
  61.
  62. Leib says there’s still something that can be done. In general if the Transient acting as the core of an overworld is removed from that position, it’ll release, so the first order of business is to find whoever it is. Thinking what comes next can wait until then. You ask about the beastmen who woke up, wondering if you guys should leave them here. The red panda says he wants to come along.
  63.
  64. Leib says the alchemist is still a beginner in terms of power and that things will get more dangerous the closer to the center you guys go. So because of that he suggests app users who aren’t confident in themselves should stay. You suggest taking him along, saying if he wants to go he should, or saying it’d be a bad idea to split up. Leib goes along with it since it’s not clear which choice is safer. He also says logic is nothing more than something that helps your decisions, so if you think something you should do it.
  65.
  66. Leib then says you guys may help other people out of their strange dreams and brings up the possibility of them saying they want to come. If they do he’s leaving you in charge of them. If anyone gets hurt he’ll do “something about it.” You can either ask why he’s having you do that or ask what he’s talking about.
  67.
  68. Leib says it seems like he can shove off tons of the bothersome work onto you, only to backtrack and say he thinks you’re good at taking care of people. The alchemist says he doesn’t mind and exchanges formalities with you, so you agree and do the same.
  69.
  70. Some time after that Leib asks about your book making team, specifically about where Cusith is. Alp says he is a part of of your guys’ team, but says he didn’t see him when he woke up. Leib says you guys ought to find him fast before he starts crying. You can either ask if he’s worried about Cusith or ask what he means to him.
  71.
  72. Leib says he dorms with Cusith and is his guild partner. He’s more worried about whoever is around Cusith since he can’t control himself when he starts crying, so he wants to look for him. He asks what you’ll do, so you can say you want to find Cusith or say you’ll look for a way out.
  73.
  74. Going with A, Leib suggests joining together to find Cusith and then a way out. Alp agrees and says he was worried about how to solve things. Fenrir says he’ll join too. His head still feels fuzzy but he can’t bring himself to stick around there. You either tell him not to force himself or welcome him aboard.
  75.
  76. Fenrir says he’ll be fine and that he’ll make up for what he did. Leib then suggests going somewhere where you guys can find clues to leave. You ask if he has any ideas, so he brings up that the alchemist mentioned Jambavan. He’s sure Jambavan is the core of the world here, and the episode ends.
