  14. Humanity is collectively mismanaging the ocean to the brink of collapse.

  23.
  24. Skybird
  25. Ouch
  26. Lol
  27. In all seriousness, if you dismiss the enormity and imminent danger of environmental collapse, my polite suggestion would be that you investigate it more
  28. As you do with all these geopolitical, human dramas which so capture your attention
  29.
  30. Amber Tu
  31. Pill Lilly
  32. i dont dismiss it it obviously is a very serious problem
  33.
  34. Skybird
  35. Oh ok
  36. But you seem to not take it seriously enough if you don't view this as the 6th mass extinction event
  37. It makes my blood boil that humans just talk about human shit all day when this is happening, which dwarfs everything utterly
  38. That article was not "exaggerating"
  39.
  40. Eva Dogusheva
  41. Sex
  42. if the world ends then nothing is left
  43. but being human means having emotions which means caring when atrocious things happen to other humans
  44.
  45. Skybird
  46. It would be a boon if 6.9 billion people were decimated
  47. Id willingly die for this planet, in a second
  48.
  49. Amber Tu
  50. Pill Lilly
  51. its important to study human affairs because it reflects on what can happen to the entire earth including the environemtn.
  52. if all of these problems are human caused then that should be obvious
  53.
  54. Skybird
  55. The nitty gritty details don't concern me; I've gleaned enough
  56. The human species is a navel gazing, narcissistic, instagram queen
  57. And being overly concerned with human affairs reflects that collective psychology
  58.
  59. Amber Tu
  60. Pill Lilly
  61. right, so the possible threat of WW3 is just navel gazing.
  62. thats just nitty gritty details
  63. nuclear war? oh yeah that doesnt cause mass extinction
  64.
  65. Skybird
  66. At least it would wipe out humans
  67. It's the chemotherapy solution
  68. Destroy the virulent cells (humanity) while also destroying healthy cells (all other life)
  69. It's all navel gazing to me, a huge talk show of idiotic infantile drama
  70. I'm concerned with things to the extent that I have a vague understanding of what's going on and that's sufficient
  71.
  72. Eva Dogusheva
  73. Sex
  74. compassion

  81. yeah that seems to be your basic philosophy in life
  82.
  83. Skybird
  84. With regard to human affairs yeah
  85. No need to get overly invested in the idiocy
  86.
  87. Amber Tu
  88. Pill Lilly
  89. how much research have you actually done into issues to do with the environment?
  90.
  91. Skybird
  92. In 2010-2011 I spent months researching veganism, the environment, other potential ways of living etc
  93. It was my obsession
  94.
  95. Amber Tu
  96. Pill Lilly
  97. was. that was 6-7 years ago.
  98.
  99. Skybird
  100. There isnt much in the way of "current events"...weve been slowly but surely ensuring our ecosystemic demise
  101.
  102. Eva Dogusheva
  103. Sex
  104. so you dont feel anything when you think about other people and animals suffering
  105.

  113. Skybird
  114. Its human drama which is motivated by really infantile egotistical things currently
  115. I don't need to closely study that
  116.
  117. Eva Dogusheva
  118. Sex
  119. it's not about studying
  120. it's about being part of humanity
  121.
  122. Skybird
  123. For the same reason I don't need to deeply understand why an Imbecile behaves imbecilically
  124.
  125. Eva Dogusheva

  127. which we are connected to
  128. it's not about analysing
  129.
  130. Skybird

  135. it's about being aware and compassionate
  136.
  137. Skybird
  138. Not just with other humans
  139.
  140. Eva Dogusheva
  141. Sex
  142. yes but you're not a vegan because of animal suffering
  143.
  144. Skybird
  145. We have derascinated ourselves from that
  146. I am vegan partly because of that. It's unnecessary suffering
  147. If we were obligate carnivores then it would be necessary
  148. But we aren't
  149. The main point is feeling "connected" to humanity is a sick urge since humanity itself is sick
  150. It seems saner to practice a healthy detachment
  151. I am compassionate for thousands of children who die everyday of disease and starvation unnecessarily because we don't bother to allot resources correctly in this mentally ill system of economics
  152.
  153. Amber Tu
  154. Pill Lilly
  155. honestly sounds like a naive INTP thing to believe. humanity is definitely fucked up but that's only one aspect of humanity. it would be a vastly oversimplistic pessimistic outlook to leave it at that.
  156. it also dismisses the connection to human suffering at large
  157. most people are a mix of good and evil. this includes both you and me. there are only a select few fully evil people who control the world which is the true roots of the disease.
  158.
  159. Skybird
  160. What's ironic is that most humans, including you two, aren't even especially concerned with the greatest concentration of human suffering which occurs in Africa where children die by the thousands daily
  161. You're just moved by whatever they report in the media circulation
  162. Which is mostly myopic
  163.
  164. Amber Tu
  165. Pill Lilly
  166. i don't know what makes you think that.
  167.
  168. Skybird
  169. It's manufactured stories concocted to make us feel involved
  170. We have no sense of proportion
  171.
  172. Amber Tu
  173. Pill Lilly
  174. i do research into africa. just yesterday i did research into nigeria as well as libya
  175.
  176. Skybird
  177. Okay well that's mostly what I care about in the human sphere
  178.
  179. Amber Tu
  180. Pill Lilly
  181. i follow what is in circulation because it indicates the big moves to be made by the big players. what they choose to report on, what they choose to try and distort, what they choose to overlook or sweep under the rug.
  182. it all conveys a depiction of the world's chess board and how they wish to play it, which has huge consequences on everyone that occupies this planet.
  183.
  184. Skybird
  185. Right and all I'm concerned with is the portion which they sweep under the rug because that's what truly matters and has ramifications for ALL life, not just humans
  186.
  187. Amber Tu
  188. Pill Lilly
  189. just because my current focus is on as heavily on the environemtn directly doesn't mean i dont care. just like you can claim to care about the environment even though the last time you really looked into it was 6 years ago.
  190.
  191. Skybird
  192. Ok I think we have belabored our points
