  4. -Ki
  5. --In the world of Terra, all beings have something called a Soul. Everybody's Soul is different. It's shaped by life experiences, emotions, personality, diet, relationships, and many other things.
  6. The Soul produces Ki. Depending on the shape of a given individual's Soul, a person's Ki has different properties. Through intense training, one can harness their Ki to perform incredible feats, such as leaping hundreds of feet in the air, throwing bolts of lightning like javelins, or transforming into any form you please.
  7. Ki can do a lot of things, but it can't do everything. There are three main "fields" of ki use. Most techniques use more than one, so most ki users can use all three of them, though the only one that's absolutely necessary is Manipulation.
  8.
  9. The Three Applications of Ki
  10. Manipulation
  11. Manipulation is the most basic use of ki, and also the broadest. All it refers to is directly manipulating one's ki. Using manipulation, you can harden it into barriers, weapons. or projectiles to shoot at enemies, change it's appearance any way you like, or move it to objects to manipulate them from afar. It can also be used to recycle ki back into someone's body, healing them or enhancing their physical abilities. This same power can be used to transform the user, shapeshifting into
  12. Manipulation can be used to form autonomous Constructs. These are similar to living creatures, though they have no will of their own for the most part. The exact shape of these creatures can be anything, though the actual power is dependent on that of the users. Similarly, the number of Constructs that can be manipulated at a time is dependent on the user. Controlling a construct is much like controlling any other body part, it's just not attached to you. So a lot at once is harder. Unless the user periodically feeds them ki, all constructs will eventually disappear.
  13. Finally, Manipulation can be used to Imbue living creatures and certain materials with ki. This requires the removal of the Imbuers soul. It will grow back eventually, but the Imbuer will be weakened in the meantime. Skilled Imbuers can use a far smaller chunk of their soul to get the same effect, and grow it back quickly. An Imbued object or creature can use techniques they were imbued with, though objects require a very small amount of ki to actually activate them most of the time. Objects that are Imbued must, for the most part, be made of material that was once living. Plant materials are popular, but leather and bone work fine too. Paper is common for one-use objects. There are some minerals and metals that can be imbued as well, such as Adamantium and Orihalcum.
  14. Ki can also be used to create or negate various forms of energy. This allows users to fire bolts of lightning from their hands, or clad their fists in pure cold. Similarly, matter of almost any type can be created, such as armor made of stone or spears of ice. Like all objects made of ki, these will disappear eventually if the creator isn't in direct contact with them.

  16. -The World
  17. The world is made of many small islands. They're divided into five nations:
  18.
  19. Developed Nation
  20. Volcanic islands. Lots of volcanoes. Main religion worships volcanoes and dragons. Game is set here.
  21. -Metro City: Four islands linked by train. Near the academy. Police force fights by summoning constructs. Has a collosseum. Huge amusement park.
  22. -Dragon Isle: Lots of dragon temples where people learn martial arts. Center of the Order of the Five Dragons. They use martial arts that specialize in a given element (Earth, Water, Fire, Steel, Wood)
  23. -Mecha Slaughter Island: Island owned by weapons company that mostly makes robots. Used as a facility to test weapons.
  24. -Harbor: Fishing village on stilts. Has huge Symbiote research facility.
  25. -Whale Island: An island on the back of a giant whale. The monks believe that it is descended from the one on whose back the universe rests. There is evidence to support this. The first Symbiotes were made using krill found only in it's mouth that clean it's teeth.
