[17:50] <!Emilybroshoujo> In a dark room in an apartment complex uptown the face of a young man is illuminated only by the dull light of his monitor as he lurks image boards at 4pm.
[17:50] <!Emilybroshoujo> The windows of his room are taped over with duct tape to keep out the sun and empty bags of chis and softdrinks litter the floor.
[18:01] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Stupid..." The young man sighs.
[18:02] <!Emilybroshoujo> "I wonder if FatBack and SuperAlmond are doing any raiding today..."
[18:02] <!Emilybroshoujo> As the login screen music for an MMO fills the room there's a knock at the door.
[18:02] <!Emilybroshoujo> "What the hell?"
[18:03] <!Emilybroshoujo> "The apartment better beon fire, I already paid my rent this month..."
[18:03] <!Emilybroshoujo> The young man walks over to the door an opens it, wincing at the sunlight.
[18:04] <!Emilybroshoujo> He's greeted by an attractive short haired asian woman wearing a suit.
[18:04] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Are you a Mr. Edward Masters?" She asks.
[18:05] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Yeah... I assume you're not here to sell me cookies..."
[18:06] <!Emilybroshoujo> "No, regretfully I'm here to tell your your great uncle Nicolai Masters passed away this past week."
[18:06] <!Emilybroshoujo> ".... And?"
[18:07] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Do you not know who that is? Your great uncle was the owner of Mastercorp, the most valuable business on the planet, responsible for the software and hardware that makes all modern communication possible."
[18:08] <!Emilybroshoujo> "... and?" The young man says as he gestures for the woman to get to the point.
[18:08] <!Emilybroshoujo> She sighs.
[18:08] <!Emilybroshoujo> "As his sole living relative you have been deemed the inheritor of his entire fortune."
[18:09] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Pass." The young man says as he slams the door.
[18:09] <!Emilybroshoujo> "What?!" The asian woman is surprised as she knock.
[18:09] <!Emilybroshoujo> "I don't need that much money for anything... too much work."
[18:10] <!Emilybroshoujo> "You don't understand, the board of directors hand picked by your great uncle will run the company. You merely are needed as a back pocket in case an undertaking occurs that requires funds outside the annual budget."
[18:10] <!Emilybroshoujo> "There's no work to be done on your part, you could be the richest man in the world free of charge!"
[18:10] <!Emilybroshoujo> "No responsibility, nothing!"
[18:11] <!Emilybroshoujo> "... there's always a catch though." the young man says opening the door again after a moment of hesitation.
[18:12] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Yes... your great uncle is very concerned with your well being... he included the conditions in his will that you must graduate highschool and live at his estate just outside of town."
[18:12] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Impossible..." The young man says abruptly from within his dark room.
[18:12] <!Emilybroshoujo> "I haven't gone to school in two months at classes end in three, I can't make that up."
[18:13] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Then shall I arrange to have the school board bribed to adjust your records?" She says as she pulls out her phone.
[18:13] <!Emilybroshoujo> "You can do that?..." The young man asks.
[18:14] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Mr. Masters with your kind of money you can do anything..." The asian woman says with a sly smirk
[18:14] <!Emilybroshoujo> "The main point of your late uncles will was that you get out a bit and make friends."
[18:15] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Your grades are irrelevant as long as you attend school until the end of the year and agree to live at the mansion with full time live in servants so you're not alone."
[18:15] <!Emilybroshoujo> "But people suck..." The young man replies.
[18:15] <!Emilybroshoujo> There's a long pause.
[18:16] <!Emilybroshoujo> The asian woman glances over the young mans shoulder and into the room where she sees his computer.
[18:16] <!Emilybroshoujo> A sly smile crosses her face.
[18:17] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Did I mention that as the heir to Mastercorp you would have access to the best internet and PC components on the planet."
[18:17] <!Emilybroshoujo> ".... Alright... I'll give it a shot." The young man says.
[18:18] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Wonderful, I'll be waiting to pick you up after school tomorrow to bring you to your new home." She says with a smile.
[18:18] <!Emilybroshoujo> "You have really pretty green eyes, are you full asian?" The young man says abruptly.
[18:19] <!Emilybroshoujo> "I'm sorry? N-no, my father was Irish."
[18:19] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Right... see you tomorrow then." The young man says as he closes the door again.
[18:20] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Thank you for the compliment... jerk." the Asian woman scowls as under her breath as she walks away after having the door slammed in ehr face.
[18:20] <!Emilybroshoujo> The young man yawns and stretches.
[18:21] <!Emilybroshoujo> He picks up his phone, which has low battery life and dials a number.
[18:21] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Hihi~ You've reached Angie leave a message at the beep." an energetic tomboyish voice says on the other end.
[18:22] <!Emilybroshoujo> "Hey. It's me. Come wake me up in time for school tomorrow."
[18:22] <!Emilybroshoujo> With that the young man hangs up and logs into his MMO\
