likeness of a shadow hawk in full plumage. The bird crouches with wings
slightly fanned, as though about to take off, its vicious onyx talons
tipping ribbed legs worked in smooth garnet so dark as to be almost
black. Every feather of the hawk has been carefully detailed and edged
with a fine dusting of molten silver, imparting a smooth, flowing argent
outline. Its regal head holds eyes crafted with tiny orbs of pure gold,
pupils encircled by tiny splinters of onyx that give the iris a rilled
look. The final touch is a gleaming beak of the deepest and darkest
